Chapter 4.4 - Saving the Demon King's Daughter

Raven's Sacrifice

Am I dead? My body can't be moved it's like I don't have a body, I can't even see anything, why it's dark.

“Raven! Raven!” shouting a loud voice calling my name, a light that slowly grew brighter ground opened my eyes

“Who?” much

“Wake Raven! Don't you want to save Ariana?!” say that voice

Arrived – arrived I woke up surprised because of the loud scream of the voice, it turned out that the little fairy fairies who said it was right in my ear hole.

I look around have done a lot of damage because of my fight against a very strong Devil.

“Thank God you didn't die” said the fairies

“What happened why did the Devil not kill me? Didn't she strangle me earlier?” I asked the fairies

“Oi Human! I have a name!” the devil is behind me

“Uwah!”

I was shocked when I saw that the Devil I was fighting was still here, he was still suffering from a severe injury to his left hand that was bleeding a pitch-black color.

“Thank God I have forgiven your life, but there are conditions that you must do” said the Devil was serious

“What are the terms?” ask me worried, I am relieved that this Devil has forgiven me.

“You must surrender your left hand” said the Devil

“What do you mean?” raven asked confused

“You have taken my left hand, it may take several decades to fully recover this hand, in exchange for your life I will cut off your left hand so that the fight we consider balanced” said the Devil

“What if I reject it” said Raven

“Hahahaha you have no human choice.” said the Devil with a creepy face.

Hmm when compared to life, the left hand is nothing but it will be difficult for me to control magic later, but there is no other choice.

“Wait a minute Alfred” said Lina the little elf

Alfred and I looked at the little elf and noticed what he was saying.

“Raven will go save the Princess! Can you give him a waiver!” lina said the little elf was angry

“Ha is so, I don't care if I'm here to fulfill my duties, but this is my pride as one of the Demon King's generals, at least he has to lose something as well for this match to draw or I will not be able to live because he has defeated me” said the Devil seriously

“Basic of the Devil, if Raven loses her left hand she will not be able to save the Princess” said the Fairy Lina

“Oh so?” the devil looked at me.

“True, it would be quite difficult to control magic if only using one hand only, but I want to respect your pride so I offer you another body part, how is Alfred?” I said trying to negotiate, I don't know if he'll agree or not, but losing his left hand will make it difficult for me in the next fight.

“Other parts?” ask Alfred.

“I will sacrifice this left eye, how?” my spoken.

“Hahaha are you stupid huh? Sacrificing ‘mata’ for ‘hangan’ it is very different level!” said Alfred.

“Are you sure Raven? Wouldn't it be worth your eyes more than yours?” said Lina the little fairy.

“Well do I accept your suggestion, I will take your eyes, do not regret ya” Alfred said with an evil smile.

“Of course, please!” said Raven

My left eye was taken with my hand and it felt very painful but this was nothing like the pain of losing my left hand.

“Aaaaahhh!” shouted Raven

“I have eaten your eyes as a form of respect for me to you, I was surprised it turns out you are a human who greatly appreciate the self-esteem of someone” said Alfred.

“Alright let's go to see Mr. Putri” said the little fairies who broke the silence, Raven let out many tears from her right eye and blood poured from her left eye

Fairy Village and Devil's Covenant

Me and the fairies went to the second zone with Fly magic, this magic made the body of the user can float in the air, I was just taught by Alfred.

“Alfred why are you following us?” I asked with curiosity and worry.

“This is my duty, the Demon King ordered me when there is a person led by a fairy to save the Princess then I will help her on her journey” said Alfred.

That's not what I mean, is it okay that the third zone you live in is like that? Later monsters in the zone even migrate to the fourth zone!

“In addition to that personally I want to help you humans, this is as a form of respect for me to you for sacrificing your eyes” said Alfred seriously.

“No you don't need to appreciate it that way, isn't it a form of your vengeance against your left hand, instead I should thank you for forgiving my life and exchanging it for my left eye, and you have healed the wounds on my body” said Raven smiling.

“Man is so humble, I'm moved!” alfred said while crying.

“What's wrong with you two? Very get along? Raven you should be careful with the Devil because you know that ‘Iblis’ could be he will betray you later” said Lina saw Alfred.

“Take your mouth little fairy, if not for the King's orders I would go with the fairy race like you” said Alfred annoyed.

“It just so happens that I don't either!”  lina replied with annoyance anyway.

Why are these two races fighting here? Will we be okay like this? “What races of Devils and Elves are always hostile? Why are you enemies?” ask Raven curiously.

“Of course we are hostile! They are a race that does not obey Dewa”'s orders Lina said.

“God? We believe in Demon Lords, Gods will not help us Devils” said Alfred.

“But a few hundred years ago the Demon King formed an alliance with the fairy race and made a pact not to provoke each other's trust and cooperate” said Lina

“The Devil Race and the Fairy Race used to fight often but quietly, the Fairy Race always helps our enemies the Devil Race” said Alfred

“After the agreement was formed a special forces unit guarding the Princess, we are part of the unit, because the Princess was kidnapped we as the guardians of the Fairy Lord of the fairy village get the task to save her” said Lina. “Oh yes we have reached the fairy village, just below us, but you will not be able to see it because you are not the one who was given permission to see it. Only the Queen of Elves has the right to determine whether you are entitled or not”

“Village fairy?” said Raven. I can't believe what the fairy said but when I looked down at the situation there was so strange, I didn't feel the aura of the evil monsters around here, either, there is a beautiful meadow hills below, there is a flower garden that is so colorful spoil the eyes. This second zone is very different from the third zone.

The Two Headed Dragon

The dark atmosphere began to turn out to be very scary, but it didn't seem like it was night but because we had reached the first zone or place where the Princess was. We went down a little bit to see the situation around.

“Are we there?” ask while looking around.

“No, did you see the volcano there?” said Alfred.

“That very high mountain? Is there the Princess's place?” ask again.

“No, I don't know where the Princess is, where the flow of magic is covered by where around here, inside the mountain is the Princess kidnapper, Princess, just ask him where Mr. Putri” is said Alfred relaxed.

“How can I get there?” ask Raven in confusion.

“We fairies will help you” said Lina.

The situation in the first Zone was very poisonous, clearly visible on the ground that gave off an aura of darkness, this zone was so gloomy because the sky was covered by black clouds, the source said, there were no trees or signs of life in this zone, but the numerous thick green-colored swamps were extremely poisonous, it seemed like this place was too poisonous for monsters.

Arriving – just arrived there was a burst of poison towards Raven, because it was too fast, Raven could not avoid it.

“What? There's something in that swamp!” alfred said while attacking the swamp with his fire attack.

The spray of poison hit me but I didn't feel anything, what happened?

“Just relax Raven we protect you” said Lina the little elf, she channeled the strange energy that made Raven's body shine. Little Fairy Lini her sister Lina fell, lived 2 more little fairies, namely Lina and Line the smallest sister.

“What happened?” said Raven.

 “Do not worry about us, go we will protect you from here!” lina

I saw one of the fairies fall to the ground, while a small dragon the size of an adult suddenly appeared from the poison swamp, not just one each swamp it almost took out 2-3 dragons.

“What? Lots of dragons here??” said Raven.

“Hahaha this is perfect for match practice! They are the Beseker Dragon, the two-headed dragon that lives in the toxic swamp” Alfred said.

One of the Beseker Dragons spouted out poison again but the color of the poison was not green but rather pitch-black, This time Raven, Alfred and the fairies were able to avoid it. The other dragon head shot out a fireball making the black poison explode.

“Hahaha good!” said Alfred “Raven you go defeat the kidnapper Princess, let me handle the dragons kroco this” continued Alfred.

“But the amount is too much when compared to you alone!” said Raven.

“Raven did you forget, I am one of the Demon King Generals, fighting this croco dragon is not what – what” Alfred said with a serious look.

I was silent for a moment, I must remember my main goal. In the end I decided to hand this dragon – dragon to Alfred “ alright, I will save the Princess!” said Raven.

Raven left the fairies and Alfred and flew at high speed towards the volcano.

The Frost Legendary Nightmare Dragon Emperor

I saw a dragon lying asleep in the middle of the – middle of the volcano pit, this fight is very unfortunate for me because it is in the element that is full of fire, he said, while my basic elements are only wind and fire, but I have a plan!

“Final stage physical reinforcement, All in! This won't be enough! Super physical final stage, Power God!”

The aura of Raven's body gave off a pure white aura that shone brightly in this gloomy region, a sign that her physical strengthening magic was succeeding.

Raven closed her eyes preparing to focus on making magic moves, from a distance the fireball above her head slowly began to grow and continue to grow.

This move was the first time I tried it when I saw Alfred wearing it, this style I will name “Meteor Burst” shouted Raven throwing a very large fireball into the hole of the volcano.

Boom up!

A huge explosion occurred in the hole of the volcano, causing the ground to tremble. The explosion made the volcano become active and released a very hot lava burst into the air. The sleeping dragon woke up, opened his eyes and flew up.

“Rarwr!” the sound of rage from the Fire Dragon

“Who woke me up!” the dragon said in his heart

“Meteor Burst!” raven shouted again, that enormous fireball was directed at the fire dragon.

“Man?” the dragon was astonished.

The fireball hit the dragon but nothing happened, Raven was a little surprised because the dragon seemed to not feel any attack from it. 

This dragon woke up because the volcano was active again not because of my attack, this is very bad Raven thought.

“Your great man can also make a fireball that big” said the Dragon.

“Thank you” reply Raven.

“Oh you can listen telepathically from me, I don't think you are an ordinary human being.” said the fire dragon while flying higher.

“A ball that small can't be called a meteor?! It's called meteor!” the Dragon shouted in telepathy to Raven.

The fire dragon made an enormous fireball in front of its mouth, even the Raven below could feel the heat from the fireball.

No way! How could I avoid such a big fireball Raven thought surprised to see that fireball slowly heading towards her.

“Special technique, Hundred Shadow Blaze!” said Raven, there are so many magic circles around Raven that cast Shadow Blaze, the Shadow quickly gather to make protection around Raven. The ball smote the defense of the Shadow Blaze, most of the defense was destroyed, Raven was slightly injured on the part of his right hand as he tried to keep control of Shadow Blaze.

“I am impressed by humans for your hard work, say your name” the fire dragon said on telepathy.

“Raven, are you the ruler of this region? Where are you hiding the Princess?” asked Raven firmly.

“Hahaha after more than hundreds of years there is someone who wants to take back the Princess? Moreover, you are a human being, whether the party has run out of sense so entrust the Princess to you. Man why do you want to save the Princess, the Devil nation has deceived you” the fire dragon said in telepathy.

“I don't care, quickly tell me where the Princess is!” raven said seeing the dragon was upset.

“He is inside my body” said the Dragon.

The Demon King's daughter was inside the dragon's belly, she was sealed with magic chains wrapped around her hands, left and right legs.

“If you want to save him then kill me. If you cut off my two horns then I will die, I hope you can do it human!” said the Dragon excitedly inside the telepathy.

“No need to bother, I will chop off your head” Raven said.

“How arrogant are you human. But, listen to my command of man, or you will regret it”

Man's fight against a mighty dragon, who will win? If viewed from a physical point of view, the human side could not possibly have the chance to kill a dragon alone. But it's different for this human...

Raven pushed her body with wind magic, she made a sword from her fire shir. Raven tried to attack the dragon by scratching its head several times, Raven's attack looked like a very fast flash of light.

The fire dragon retaliated by spouting lava from its mouth towards Raven, quickly dodging Raven but the attack continued to be carried out by the dragon. Moments later the dragon stopped attacking Raven, he aimed his lava spurt towards the volcano's vent, as the attack exploded.

What did the dragon do? Think Raven

Amongst the billowing smoke, several small fire dragons about the size of 2 adults were born as a result of the fire Dragon's attack.

The small fire dragon was part of a large fire dragon, more effective at attacking a human with a smaller body size.

Raven did not expect that the one that came out between the mountain blast was a small fire dragon, she was caught by the little dragon.

“It looks like here is the end of your life man” said the fire dragon inside his telepathy.

Raven had run out of sense to face the fire dragon, even now there are so many small dragons that become a bully of his focus. Looking at Raven's expression that was like despair, the attack could not be mempan to the dragon, the dragon's skin was very thick and protected by magic.

Raven was brought by those little dragons before the huge fire dragon. The huge dragon performed a paralyzing magic to Raven, rendering the body immobile and losing consciousness.

Raven muttered to herself in her dream, she knew that her enemy this time was really very strong, there was no chance of harming the fire dragon.

Raven looked at his two hands, he was in a very dark mind room. The dark room seemed to depict Raven's endless despair.

I give up, it seems that the world is filled with beings beyond all reason. Damnit damnit! Try to have power!

“Strength? Don't you already have it?” said someone who answered Raven.

Who'sis that? 

“It doesn't matter who I am, if you want strength then leave this body to me” the voice continued.

No, I don't want to borrow power from others! I'd rather die than rely on you!

“Other people?” the voice paused for a moment “I am you Raven, the true nature of you who wants to become the ruler of the world, thirst for power, thirst for power, the embodiment of all your anger” replied someone who was very similar to Raven but whose eyes were dark red, and had both demon horns. 

Raven was shocked to hear those words. The voice seemed to represent the dark nature within him that he had been enduring all along.

"What do you mean? I don't want to be part of the darkness!" raven said firmly.

The voice smiled cynically. "Unfortunately you have no other choice" 

The voice laughed wickedly. "You're so naive, Raven. But say what you want. Give me control."

I want to save the Princess!

Raven gave in to the impulse and let the dark forces enter her. His body trembled and his eyes turned dark red. In an instant, he felt an unimaginable stream of energy flowing through his body.

Raven's body was dropped from the ground, the great fire dragon was convinced that Raven had died because of her magic. While one of the fairies near Alfred fell to the ground, Alfred immediately saved him. There's only one fairy who's been a favor to Raven.

Raven opened her eyes. Raven returned to the battlefield with the fire dragons and the little dragons. This time, he used his dark power to fight them. Black flames smouldered from his sword, and Raven's attacks were so powerful that it cut the little dragon in half with ease.

Bright blue eyes, the aura of darkness within Raven had risen. The huge fire dragon was shocked to see the drastic change in Raven. Raven's attack easily pierced through the dragon's protection, and with a single move, she cut off the dragon's head.

The dragon did not have time to react due to the sudden change of Raven.

When Raven turned around, she saw something shocking. The fire dragon he defeated suddenly changed shape into a much stronger ice dragon. Now, the ice dragon was standing before him, its bright blue eyes emitting a powerful ice power.

"Your looks piss me off!" exciting Raven.

“That's great, you are the first human to see my true form” the dragon said in telepathy.

“To honor the strength of determination and courage then I will tell you my real name, I am the Frost Legendary Nightmare Dragon Emperor, the most feared dragon of the entire Demon land!” said the dragon excitedly in his telepathy.

“Who cares about your name, because soon you will die" said Raven.

Raven made a sword out of the darkness, and wind and fire magic flowed around her. He launched a fierce attack on the ice dragon, Raven made an enormous magic circle to create an enormous black fireball towards the dragon. However, the ice dragon easily destroyed those attacks with its deadly ice power.

The power of darkness within Raven was weakening even more. Every attack he made drained his energy and threatened his own life. 

Raven clasped her sword tightly and launched her final attack. Raven channeled most of her dark magic energy into the sword. He dashed towards the ice dragon, after the distance was close enough, Raven threw her sword right towards the ice dragon's heart.

The Raven Sword shot out extremely quickly and struck the heart of the ice dragon, it pierced through the chest and shattered the magic crystal that was inside the ice dragon's chest.

Raven used her dark power to free the Demon King's Princess sealed inside the dragon's belly. The Princess, who looked weak, was hugged by Raven.

After successfully eliminating all Beseker Dragons in sight, Alfred approached Raven who was rescuing the Princess from the belly of the ice dragon.

“Raven! What are you doing! Get out of there! The dragon still has both horns!” alfred was worried.

Booms!

The explosion from the ice dragon sent Raven and Princess flung to the ground. Raven looked up, Alfred was trying to hold off the mana explosion as a result of the ice dragon's corpse, the two dragon horns continued to absorb the surrounding mana and would slowly make the dragon lose consciousness and go berserk due to the excess magic energy.

Alfred exerted all his magic energy to open a dimensional gate, then Alfred pulled the ice dragon with chain magic, Alfred pulled as hard as the ice dragon's power to enter the dimensional gate, alfred, too, had to get caught up in the gate with the dragon.

“Raven, I entrust the Princess to you” said Alfred smiling.

In the end the ice dragon was completely defeated and with the loss of the main energy, the first gate connecting the demon and human worlds closed slowly and in the end vanished without a trace.

Raven saw the incident, but she couldn't do much. Raven had already reached her limit, she was expending too much magic energy, Raven slowly closed her eyes in exhaustion.
