Real Purpose

There was a time when he had given up on life. Continuing to feel the pain and suffering because it was made as an experiment is certainly not an easy thing.

He can leave at first. Can be separated from all the pain even though it is temporary. But in the end, he returned to that place. A place where he always felt pain. The place where all her happiness and hopes for life were dwindling, was getting lost and finally disappearing.

I thought ending a life would be better. At least there will be no more suffering and pain that he experienced. He was tired of continuing to endure all the suffering and pain that never ended.

But, dear God has other plans.

Destiny makes him go the other way. He did not know this included good things or vice versa. But for now, all he could do was live it. Although in his heart he still hopes to regain the happiness and freedom he always hoped for so far.

Slowly the young man's eyes opened displaying a beautiful bead of eyes. Her sight was slightly blurry making her have to blink several times to recover her sight and adjust to the light of the lights entering her sight.

Ah yes, now he was outside the Dark Devil. Beside him, a silver-haired young man fell into a deep sleep. His right hand seemed to hold the young man's hand, which made him hesitate to move for fear of waking the silver-haired young man.

He glanced at the clock that showed at 4 a.m. The young man next to him was still asleep.

Rei looked at the young man's face fixedly. A familiar feeling came back to him. It feels like I've seen that person, or actually know him. But he can't remember that. Or maybe just his feelings?

But... Is he really safe here? He was afraid that he would eventually be used again as a weapon or something.

Since the incident was repeated again, he could no longer trust anyone carelessly. Not everyone can believe it now, even those who look good.

Rei took a deep breath. On the other hand, he also thought about Revan's state. Is she okay? He shouldn't have to worry because now Revan is in Shadow Agent right? But... I don't know why those worries keep coming.

Sunlight barged in through the window. A cold wind woke Rei. He glanced slightly towards the wall clock. It's 7 in the morning. He fell asleep again. The young man beside her was no longer there. Obviously, he must have woken up.

The open door caught Rai's attention to look in that direction. From behind the door, Erano walked in while drying his hair using a towel. It was obvious she had just finished her bath.

"Oh you're awake apparently. How's your condition? Is anyone still sick?" Erano asked as he walked closer to Rei.

Rei fell silent and tried to sit down. "I'm fine. If you can tell, which side are you on?" Rei asked directly at his core.

Rei nodded. "I just don't want to be used anymore."

Again the silver-haired young man sighed. He walked towards a study table beside his bed and pulled his chair and sat himself there. "As I said, we're on your side. I am Erano, as well as you who became the victim of the human trial of the Dark Devil. But thanks to Revan's help, we managed to escape safely. But unfortunately, Revan's back in the trap."

Hearing Erano's explanation, Rei rounded his eyes. So they're going through the same thing as her and Revan? But... Why did he never see them, and could not even remember them from the same place? "What was it before we met?"

Erano certainly nodded. "Yes sure. We were pretty familiar first. You always call my name by abbreviation. Erano's name is good. But... After we left, I was forced to erase your memories of us."

"Deleting?"

"Yes. I have the ability to control others, including their memories. I erased all our memories together. I'm sorry..."

"So, like Revan... You have special abilities too?"

"But I'm happy..." Rei turned his gaze at Erano who looked smiling while staring at him. "Because Revan is happy now. I guess... That's enough isn't it?"

Rei slightly looked at the grim. If only Erano knew how Revan struggles to finally get happiness like that is not an easy thing. There is a lot of pain and suffering that must be experienced. Even in the hate of the person who became his life expectancy. Although it is true, now he is happy there and can return to his family.

"Then I still want to bring Revan to join us. Her... Esper too, right? The more power the better."
