SIMULATION
THE CAUSE OF ME*

While Sandra was still overwhelmed with grief, suddenly a call from the Great Ruler Control Center appeared through a flat board that served as a watch. Vemo was surprised and looked at the hologram display intently.

“Don't worry, Sandra. Trust all of us if the Great Ruler will survive. You focus on your mission. You are innocent of anything, so ... don't make this mission a burden for you,” said Matteo who practically made Sandra stop her crying.

“And you, Vemo,” call Matteo who now turns his eyes on the man who has the barcode on his face. Vemo stared at Matteo sharply. “Protect Sandra. Help him complete the mission and return home to Great Ruler safely. I can count you, ‘kan?” matteo asked as he raised one of his eyebrows. Vemo chuckled with a nod. “Saranku. Pause for thirty minutes as long as you travel to level 9. You two can ride WolfBot. You can save energy all the way to the next mission,” Matteo continued and the two nodded.

Sandra strengthened her heart and mental. He wiped away the tears and stood up straight. The three wolves approached.

“You can count on me, Otka. Come on,” invite Vemo steady and Sandra welcomes with a handshake.

Vemo and Sandra riding WolfBot. Sandra activated pause mode to charge her human body in the simulator along with a robot in the field that charges the battery before dark.

Before pause mode was activated, Rey had given mission instructions. Sandra is directed to a river that was once called Kherlen in Mongolia.

Sandra is increasingly convinced that Baatar and Russ-King are working together, but Baatar's involvement is not smelled by the Great Ruler.

Five years ago, Russ-King wanted the destruction of the Great Ruler and wanted to rule it. The country once came to attack, but succeeded in failing.

The attack kills Rey when the Captain kills the first mutant by decapitating the wolf's mutant neck, but the mutant's sharp fingernails also crumble Rey's robot head before the neural connection is severed.

Rey died in the simulator room after suffering brain damage due to a sudden nerve disconnection.

The Sandra simulator control center.

The general looked tired and he was asked to rest by medics. But this time, Matteo chose to remain in the control center space by venturing into his RC accompanied by Spectra, Purple and Roboto.

Matteo fell asleep in seconds after being given a vitamin injection like Sandra to stay in top shape when he woke up from his sleep.

Apparently, an old memory makes it like being in a dreamland. He heard Lala's voice in his head.

That memory was when he fought Derga for the first time with the Blue Colosseum as himself.

Matteo sees himself stepping out of a gate where his human body is in the simulator room as one of the new generation User B level robot controllers.

Matteo saw all the residents of Great Ruler cheering for him to provide support. He also saw Vice President Lala introduce himself to the audience at the Colosseum.

"B-One is controlled by the Colosseum who is now in the simulator room with our experts who will help operate it" Lala said.

“Colosseum Blue ..” said Matteo shriveled in his sleep.

Some officers who heard glanced at him at a glance, but returned to work on their respective tasks.

Matteo saw two camps opposite each other. The Father—Morlan—s with scientists from the Division of Biological Sciences handcuffed and guarded by laser-armed E-level robot users.

Until finally, when Lala introduces an enemy that must be fought by B-One. The faces of all the spectators, both in the Colosseum and at home, were pale when the iron door opened.

The mutant is twice as tall as the B-One Robot. People began to guess the mix of species from the mutants.

The mutant head is like a shark. It has two small hands with sharp nails on the abdomen, two hands dangling like a human to the calf with sharp nails, and four hands with nails shaped like fishing hooks on the back. The animal can stand on two legs like a human, but on tiptoes.

Matteo's eyes widened. He felt the hair on the surface of his human skin bristling, shuddering in horror at imagining that it was a human being combined with an animal. The General looked tense with his heart pounding.

"Start!"

Derga's deadly curvature made the spectators cover their ears with both hands. Matteo was surprised because the sound of his screeching until it penetrated the ears of his robot.

The B-One controlled by Matteo, but back then the Blue Colosseum that took its place, had yet to launch an attack. B-One and a mutant named Derga look at each other sharply.

The two walked around the arena like they were judging each other. Until finally, a fierce fight happened. However, Matteo realized the advantages of his mutant opponent.

"Crazy! That mutant can't die!" pekik Matteo analyzed the results of his attack.

B-One looks desperate because the mutant is very aggressive and constantly attacks him. B-One began to show the ability of the sophistication of weaponry in his armor.

Matteo looks earnestly dropping Derga. Apparently, the memory makes his body like a response like when fighting in the Colosseum.

Everyone in the control center began to observe the movements of the General who looked tense like having a nightmare on his RC.

But suddenly, Matteo's smile blossomed while he was still asleep on RC. However, as long as he closed his eyes, the General was delirious and it attracted those around him.

They came to Matteo and surrounded him. Those people were curious about the general's strange-sounding mutterings.

Until finally, his memories shifted when Vice President Lala read the decision of the trial and the fight at that time at the Colosseum. Matteo was still able to talk to his father.

Unfortunately, Morlan said nothing, and just looked at the B-One robot standing straight in front with an expressionless face. The father seemed indifferent to her, even at the last moment, when they could still speak.

“Dia ..remembered by memories with Morlan. Poor, General,” said Xili like knowing the pain of Matteo's heart that still closed his eyes, but his mind back to the past.

“Hey, get back to work. Soon Sandra is back online,” said Vice President Lala suddenly behind the crowd.

All the officers in the control center were shocked and rushed to sit in their respective work chairs. Lala smiled faintly as she approached her niece who looked saddened by her past.

“You're not alone, dear Matteo. Aunty has promised Aurora to look after and love you like our own child,” Lala said, leaving a sweet kiss on the General's forehead.

“Mother?” call Matteo soft as if he were mengingau.

Lala was startled and instead stood beside him staring at the sparkling brunette man sharply.

“What do you remember about your mother, Matteo? Tell me,” asked Lala while stroking Matteo's head gently.

Who would have thought, that touch brought the mind of the General to the time when the mother—Aurora Dimensia—still alive.

It's just, the memories that returned to him when the tragedy of the death of the mother in front of his eyes.

Matteo saw the Father—Morlan— quarrel with the mother in her house. Matteo was terrified and hid behind the glass wall of the living room.

“You poisoned the mind of our son, Aurora! He now has a dual personality, and that's not normal! It would ruin his mentality! You make our son confused with himself!” said Morlan snapped with sharp buying eyes at the wife.

“You made Matteo like a child without a human soul, Morlan. He was cold-hearted and inhumane. He became a haughty, stubborn, arrogant, and merciless young man! It was not like that the soul of a leader that Great Ruler needed to create peace in this broken world!”

“Oh!” pekik Matteo was aghast when he saw his father slapping his mother's cheek until Aurora fell on the floor while holding the corner of his bloody lips.

“I will retain the Blue nature in Matteo! I don't want my son to be a man like you who only thinks about power, but forgets his loved ones!” aurora shouted back as she stood up and held onto her bruised cheek.

“Arrghh! You!” morlan was furious with glaring eyes.

Matteo saw his father ready to hit his mother again. Blue's soul within Matteo moved. He ran to stop the violence from his father.

Matteo pushed his mother backwards to avoid Morlan's slap, but it caused Aurora to slip and hit her head on the edge of the display table, which had a sharp edge made of stone.

Instantly, Matteo's eyes widened as did Morlan. The father stared as Matteo ran up to the mother, who was lying unconscious with eyes open and fresh blood coming out from the back of her head.

“Mom? Mama! Mama!! Harrghhh!” yelled Matteo hysterically when he found the mother dead because of her involuntary actions.

“Matteo! Matteo!” call Lala trying to wake her niece who had a nightmare because she screamed loudly until the entire body muscles stiffened and her face was red.

“Mom! Huh! Huh!” his breath was finally able to open his eyes and return to the real world.

All the officers in the room approached again in shock at the cry of the General who suddenly mentioned his mother. Lala looked panicked and held onto Matteo's face tightly.

“Matteo ... Are you okay?” ask Lala sadly.

Matteo looked puzzled and his breathing was wheezing, but slowly he shed tears.

Lala immediately hugged her nephew tightly as Matteo cried looking so sad. Lala stroked Matteo's back gently trying to calm his nephew's heart and mind.

“Aibi ... I .. I killed mom .. hiks, I killed her,” Matteo said, surprising everyone who heard.

Lala instantly let go of her embrace and looked at the sharp Matteo who was trying to stop her crying until her face wrinkled. Lala held onto Matteo's cheeks tightly looking sad.

“I ... I've been thinking it was you who killed Mom, but it was me, Auntie. I pushed him and .. hiks, mom died because of me. I was just trying to keep mom from getting hit by dad because of their argument, but I .. I .. I even got mom killed,” Matteo closed his eyes tight.

Everyone fell silent to the General's confession that everyone had never known.

Residents of Great Ruler had thought Aurora died of illness, but the truth had been revealed from the lips of the boy—Matteo Corza.

“No, Matteo. It's .. It's not your fault. What you did to protect your mother, but .. We never knew anything bad would happen to her. This ... is already God's will. Relax, and forgive yourself. Aurora must understand it because .. she always forgives the mistakes of her loved ones,” Lala said soothingly as she stroked her nephew's tender arms.

Matteo could not answer and seemed to be trying hard to stop his crying.

Everyone was compassionate with the suffering and regret of the General who had been held unwittingly, and only revealed after twenty years.
