OLD RICCI CASE

"We didn't find the two women Mrs referred to" a security guard told the boutique manager.

“You do not try to lie and cover up your crimes in front of me, Madam,” the manager said to Nina who was cornered in the manager's indoor seat.

“I'll pay for that dress!” Nina retaliated no less fiercely by leaning her upper body towards the man.

“It's not that easy! If a label shoplifter like you is left without legal action, one day surely you will repeat it again!”

“Yes!”

The manager then wrapped Nina in his arms, trying to intimidate, so Nina was intrigued for a moment to fly the skinny man to the wall across the room, had he not remembered Sindoorah's number two message-do not use his powers overtly in public or his existence could have been traced so easily. Who cares about that kind of lame rule? However, Nina did not want to be caught before she managed to avenge her.

Should Nina trick this manager into taking him to some remote place and then break this guy's nose as a lesson? “I've told you, ‘kan? I'm not lying,” Sergeant Andi said as he drove Commander Gerald in front of Nina Ricci. The woman was confined in one of the temporary cells with two other prisoners. He was removed from the inside after Commander Gerald himself secured his release.

Nina looked bored at the two men. His mouth was frothy to explain to the manager, then to Sergeant Andi about the actual incident, but his alibi was still not accepted. Nina only wished that she could shake off the disturbance quickly without having to exert any force prematurely. 

“Why are you here, Mr Chief Detective?” nina asked against Commander Gerald's eyes bravely. A pair of shady eyes belonging to the man was increasingly clouded when trying to brush off the scent of hostility that was spread by Nina among them. “Has something happened with you and Mrs Nina, Sir?” investigate Sergeant Andi caught the commander's unease.

“Ya-”

“No!” Nina stared fiercely at Commander Gerald. Do not try to tell the police commander a small exaggerated affair that night. Well, for Nina, she had traded her heart for Sindoorah's ability, until such a thing was a pebble that she had kind of ignored halfway through. 

“Sorry, Mistress. You misunderstood.” Commander Gerald immediately straightened out the awkwardness of his position in Nina's view. 

“Maybe you forgot the time I told you that I am the Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit, then of course I have the right to investigate the case that befell you now. However, what I meant earlier was our private conversation in my room the other day."

"You mean?"

Commander Gerald sighed for a moment. "I promise to close your case. But the truth is, we are still investigating. Then, the incident that befell you right now is obviously a huge setback that your opponent can use to obstruct our investigation.”

“Oh.” Nina's mouth is round. For the first time, he hoped that he would again have the ability to read the contents of the heart. Nina was slapped by her own stupid preconceived notions. Of course a kiss stolen from him was not a problem for the police commander before him!

"Sergeant Andi, can you leave us now?"

After the two of them sat down at a table in the warden's room, Commander Gerald's attention shifted entirely to Nina.

"Mrs." Commander Gerald looked at Nina expectantly. "What do you really want by hiding the crimes of your family-in-law? I'm sure if your report the other day wasn't a mistake like you admit."

Nina countered back with a calm water ripple, but hidden the depths beneath. In the commander's vision, Nina was many times more explosive than last night. Three days is fast enough to get to know a Nina Ricci.

"What's in it for you, Mr Chief Detective?"

The man was stunned for a moment, as if considering something. Commander Gerald locked onto Nina's gaze so that the woman would not betray his words. "Far before I knew you, I moved to this city to replace my father who was also a Kareskrim. Back then, my father tried to open up an old case that befell the Ricci family."

"The accident of my father-in-law. Norman Ricci?"

"Yes." Yeah."

Commander Gerald nodded firmly
