THE SECRET OF NINA RICCI

“Well, then, I can go now, ‘kan?” The flat expression on Nina's face turned lightning after Commander Gerald finished his list of questions from her that day.

“You are not allowed to leave this place before our business is done, Mrs Nina!” Commander Gerald nimbly moved to block Nina's path to the door. The man even sat there like a door-climber.

Nina advanced her body and tiptoes up to the distance of her face and Commander Gerald was just a little off. “This is out of agreement, Mr. Detective Chief.” The glint on Nina's round eyeballs even made the entire pancaindra of the commander ambushed by hurricane la nina. However, Commander Gerald tried to keep the woman there longer. She knew that Nina was still the wife of someone, but Nina's bully-like attitude even looked adorable like a fierce female cat in her eyes. 

“Is Nolan Ricci, your husband, a stupid man?” The direct question from the commander was like an arrow piercing Nina's ear. Fortunately, his heart was taken by Sindoorah. Otherwise, it must have been a part of him that had been smashed to pieces by the commander's question. 

“I've only known Nolan in my lifetime, so I don't know how to answer your question, Mr. Detective Chief. Just so you know, Nolan is smarter than Olivia and Naomi, if only he did not have a concussion because it was the months of Naomi.”

“But, when compared with you ...” Nina looked more and more closely at the face of the man in front of her, so that the storm la nina who ambushed the commander, then turned into a wave of el nino. Did Nina realize that her arm could make her disappear in one hug?

“You seem to be stronger than Nolan, as well as Naomi.” Commander Gerald could then feel Nina's index prick on the biceps muscle behind her police uniform. “Does this kind of question relate to the case that befell me, Mr Chief Detective?”

Commander Gerald felt stupid himself when attacked by such questions from Nina. Soon, his walkie talkie rang. An officer spoke and Nina could also hear him clearly. “Sergeant Andi reporting. Sir, what exactly are you talking about with Nina Ricci? Everyone was watching in the CCTV room. It's a storm here. Replace!”

Commander Gerald Kontan is frozen. His jaw hardened when he realized what those brazen spies were seeing - inside the camera at the time. He and Nina Ricci were barely a distance away. Unfortunately again, his position seemed to have been cornered by the woman to stick to the wall. 

Alright, Gerald is single, but this is really ruining his reputation as a man! The commander immediately pushed Nina away from him. Only then did he realize that his attitude just now must have looked rude and misbehaved. 

“It's okay, Commander. I've felt how to be in your position.”

Commander Gerald's face heated up. Nina's words didn't help at all. The man returned to his formal attitude.

“There are still personal questions that you have not answered, Mrs Nina,” said the commander again insisted on holding Nina with him. 

“As long as it's not about my husband,” said Nina in an unnaturally flat tone full of emphasis. It was as if the woman was a statue that had no emotions.

"Why you revoke your own report. Is your husband's family pressuring you to hide it?"

The same question. Commander Gerald wasn't tired of asking.

"Master Detective Chief," Nina said in a sharp tone. If you need any information on Mr. Norman's case, I'm willing to cooperate. But, what happened between me and my husband's family, it was purely my personal business."

"Do I look like a weak woman hiding behind a man?" ask Nina sarcas.

Commander Gerald does not accept he continues to be pulled by Nina. So, the man sat Nina in the chair, and locked her body with his pair of sturdy arms, as if to captivate Nina from her desire to escape.

"You must have a reason. You love your husband so much that you're willing to cover up all his family's faults?"

Commander Gerald's conjecture unexpectedly pushes Nina to the bottom of the darkness. Nina recalls how she fell into the well and gave up her heart in exchange for the power of an underworld creature. Now, there's only revenge. The love glorified in the wedding vows that Nina hopes is as beautiful as fairy tales, it turns out only an illusion wrapped in the hypocrisy of the residents of Ricci villa. Stupidly, people like him actually become the fallout of the dark part. Nina would never be part of the sparkling Ricci family, no matter how pure her heart and all the effort she tried.

"Mrs Nina?" Commander Gerald pulled Nina out of the darkness. Just a moment ago, he felt Nina as if she was dying. The woman's pupils dilated.

After returning to reality, Nina pulled bland lips. "Do you really want to know my reason, Mr Chief Detective?"

"Yes." Yeah." Commander Gerald is now standing in front of Nina Ricci.

"Then your wish, we need a long journey."

"It's not far enough yet" Nina said behind Commander Gerald. The commander did not say much, he just gave what Nina wanted, which is to go to a place far from civilization. Farther from Ricci's villa, even the top of the hill. Nina seemed to want to take him to the top of the world.

When the path they were walking on was long lost among the weeds, then Nina asked the commander to stop his Ducati. Nina leads them to one of the hilltops directly opposite the forest at the foot of the mountains. The man seemed amazed because his mount was able to pioneer into the remote path.

Nina went down first to remove the helmet, then followed by the commander. Their hair, especially that of the long Nina, was waving in the strong wind. The woman was wearing stockings behind her skirt, which Commander Gerald was sure was unable to withstand the cold. However, Nina looked fine.

"What secret do you have that we have to come to this place so far, Madam?" the police commander asked curiously.

Nina curled her lips faintly, while her hands clenched tightly in front of her thighs. His manner suddenly shook the mysterious air wave around them. The woman stood up straight as if against the wind. Instantly the sky above them was enveloped by overcast. The wind is now blowing carrying moisture that condenses on their exposed skin.

Only then did Commander Gerald realize something. Nina Ricci did not speak, but the woman answered directly by foreshadowing the nature around them.
