That night Evelyn had trouble sleeping. His mind raged thinking about his marriage to Zaki.

" O Allah, please protect me and strengthen me to always be on your path. Don't let me give up on a child I might be carrying right now!" evelyn's tears just flowed without her noticing. How hard life he has lived.

His father went bankrupt suddenly and died of a heart attack. Then, not long after, his mother who felt unable to bear the departure of the father and poverty that approached their lives. He became depressed and went to a mental hospital.

Evelyn also has to accept the fact that her husband likes to play gambling and eventually sells himself to Zaki to pay his debts.

" O God at a time like this, I only have you. At a time like this, I can only rely on you!" evelyn said softly.

Raymond who saw and heard all Evelyn's grievances and sorrows that night. Raymond could only stare at Evelyn with a feeling of sadness.

Evelyn believes in Raymond that she will never tarnish their friendship with despicable things.

" You know for yourself, don't you, Ray? Right now my condition is really not possible to travel far. Especially on foot!" evelyn was sad.

" Well, how do we try to confirm your pregnancy Eve? We can't just guess, right?" asked Raymond with a disappointed face.

" You can buy a test for the midwife over there, Ray. Let's say that I'm currently in a weakened state and can't come to the examination itself!" evelyn told Raymond.

" Maybe you could ask for some vitamins and blood boosters so that my condition could be better!" evelyn said a smile to Raymond.

" Rey can I be honest with you?" evelyn asked as she stared intently at Raymond who had so clear eyes and so sincere affection for her. Evelyn could feel that affection from Raymond's eyes that always waged peace when he looked at her. There is no tendency there. There is only kindness and sincerity.

" My current husband must be looking for my whereabouts. His men are scattered everywhere Ray. If now I present myself in public and my name is listed in the health hall. It's only a matter of time for him to definitely find my whereabouts. I don't want to go back to him Ray. I'm comfortable and happy living here with you! Even though we live in lack and simplicity. I don't know why my heart is so peaceful and it's so quiet living here!" evelyn commented a sincere smile to Raymond who nodded his head.

" Okay Eve! I understand your difficulties, baby. Okay fine! Now I'm gonna come over there and buy you some medicine and tests. So we can check your pregnancy and we can confirm it soon. To be more careful in the future!" raymond said with a happy smile.

Evelyn just nodded her head she was happy that Remon was always being nice to her.

" Eve I'll also go to the market later huh? To buy an extra mattress so that you can sleep better with a soft mattress!" raymond said with eyes full of happiness.

" No need Rey! You buy a bed for yourself. Your body must be sore after a day of work in the fields. That night you slept on a floor with only a thin mat!" evelyn said with concern.
