35. Pick up Edward

After getting a message from his brother, Brian then followed the taxi driver to pick up the car of the brother who was parked in a mall not too far from their residence.

" What did it look like? Why would my brother have to go through something like this?" ask Brian to the taxi driver.

" I don't understand it very well either. But obviously, when I was about to deliver your brother, our car was followed by a group of strangers we didn't know. Therefore your brother sought protection from the police and now he is at the police station" the taxi driver explained to Brian.

Once they reached the mall, Brian then immediately took the car of the brother and he immediately went to the police station indicated by the taxi driver.

After being at the police station Bryan immediately handed over the clothes he had hidden in his jacket.

" Geez I'm filming a television about the mafia!" bryan said when he managed to get his brother out of the police station.

Edward had been looking around looking for the car that had been chasing him since noon and followed him.

" Look down I checked, this place is safe!" bryan said slowly.

Edward looked at his sister confidently. He knows Brian is a smart and intelligent boy and believes his brother can take him out of the police station safely.

" Who's really following you?do you have any enemies outside?" asked Brian, curious.

Edward was speechless and remembered the events of the day since he left the hospital and went to the mall to buy Evelyn's needs.

" Since I went to the hospital and came home, everything was normal. The strange thing was when I was at the mall and passed by a man. She seemed to keep watching me when I was shopping for necessities for Evelyn. He also had time to look at the note Evelyn gave me. From that moment everything became strange. There was always a group of people following me wherever I went." Edward told Bryan everything.

Bryan seemed to think very hard. For a long time she just fell silent and listened to all the stories from her brother.

" Did you know Evelyn's true identity? Maybe Evelyn is a criminal they're looking for?" bryan asked his brother.

Edward then recalled all of Evelyn's stories to him.

" Evelyn told me she ran away from her mobster husband and a criminal!" edward said in a lethargic manner.

Bryan looked at his older brother who had started to look glum.

" We'd better get Evelyn back to her husband. I'm afraid that maybe our family will get a bad thing because we're holding it!" brian said to Edward who immediately shook his head.

" Evelyn's life is very difficult and also very sad. I don't want to see Evelyn get so stressed out when we give her back to her husband!" edward refused.

" Then what should we do? Even if we stay with Evelyn and are willing to help her, our family will be in danger. They would definitely not let that happen!" brian said, expressing his opinion to Edward.

Edward then closed his eyes as soon as his head felt dizzy.

' I can't bear to let a nice girl like Evelyn into a crocodile cage. Evelyn once told me that her husband was a criminal!' Edward kept thinking. How can he save Evelyn without harming her family.

" Forgetit! What matters now is that we go back home first and discuss the matter with Evelyn. I'm sure Evelyn must have a solution to this problem!" They then focus on getting to the house immediately and remain vigilant maybe there are still those who follow them both to their homes.

Evelyn who saw Edward and Brian coming she immediately welcomed them both.

" You guys are okay, right? Geez! I'm really worried about you guys!" evelyn welcomed the two brothers.

" Evelyn's coming in is very dangerous if you put your face outside. I'm afraid that there are still people following me!" edward said while holding Evelyn.

Unbeknownst to Edward and Bryan Surya follows them into silence.

Surya immediately took a portrait between Evelyn and Edward who was holding hands and entering the house.

Without a lot of protocolers making the target suspicious. Surya follows the two of them and manages to find Evelyn's whereabouts.

" Mister I've managed to find the whereabouts of Miss Evelyn. He is currently at the home of a doctor named Edward Anderson. I'll send the address to you now!" Surya then sends a share lock and also the portrait he took when Evelyn and Edward held hands.

Seeing his wife being held by another man, Zaki immediately kicked his desk out of anger and jealousy. His emotions began to rise in his chest.

" How dare this man hold my wife's hand. It seems like he is tired of living!" said Zaki who then went straight out of his workplace to the location that was shared by Surya.

Once at Evelyn's place, Zaki immediately searches for the existence of Surya who is currently still hiding in the dark of night.

Surya is indeed very worthy of being a trusted assistant to Zaki. He is really professional and understands how to work so as not to be suspected by his target.

" Where's my wife? Quickly take me there. I can't let my wife linger with that brash man!" zaki held back his emotions. Jealousy in her heart as she recalled about Evelyn being held by Edward's hand.

Surya then invites Zaki to go visit Edward's residence.

Surya pressed the doorbell quietly. Even though he had seen Zaki who had been impatient to meet Evelyn.

" Patience Master and do not be careless in the house of others!" surya said, Zaki immediately barged in without excuse. When someone opened the door to Edward's house.

" Eh, who are you? Why enter into someone's house?" edward's maid immediately chased after Zaki who was like a fidelity. Once inside the house Zaki immediately opened the door of every room in the house to look for Evelyn.

Surya could only shake his head at Zaki's behavior which he absolutely could not control anymore.

Bryan and Edward, who are currently meeting their mother, are shocked to see Zaki barging into his mother's room.

" Who Are You? How dare you enter someone else's house without permission!" bryan said as he pushed Zaki's body out of his mother's room.

" How dare you push me, huh? Tired of your life like that. Have many lives? Quickly give me my wife back! Where is he?" said Zaki who lost patience while pulling the collar of Brian's clothes who had been very brave to push him until almost fell.
