Sometimes Friends are the Enemy
Part 7's. Caught

Betty ate while thinking about when she would pretend to be sick. He ate on his bed. Her grandmother did not move from there and just sat in front of her granddaughter while watching her eat. It was his grandson's favorite meal, which his grandmother purposely made for him.

But, because the food was quite tasty, Betty subconsciously raised and folded her legs while eating her food voraciously. His style is like the fathers who are eating in the stall. The foot he lifted and bent too, was the foot he bandaged. So his grandmother became astonished as she continued to pay attention to him. Then he said,

"Kan, your legs are hurting!

But why are you able to stab her casually while eating?"

Betty was silent because she got sniffed. While forcibly swallowing the food inside his mouth, he silently mutely. He slowly lowered his leg but said nothing and continued to eat his food while trying to ignore his grandmother's questions.

Then suddenly, her grandmother tried to touch Betty's feet wrapped in bandages. But Betty quickly screamed as if in pain so her grandmother wouldn't suspect her more.

Then Betty took her feet away from her grandmother and covered her with a blanket as she said and whimpered,

"Oh Grandma, my legs hurt a lot. My leg almost broke because

That closet. I can't walk. I think this one week Betty can't go to school."

"Hush still. You're like an SD kid. Once if it hurts again. It's already! Grandma's going first. Lots of work in the kitchen. Wash dishes, nyapu, mopping, and wash your dirty clothes. Now all the housework, forced grandma to do it herself. Grandma could die quickly from exhaustion."

"Don't say that, Grandma. Betty doesn't want to get sick like this either. Who the hell wants to get sick? Crazy people don't want to."

But after her grandmother came out of the room and locked the door, Betty also began to express like a healthy person. His complaints and complaints stopped. His grandmother, who had listened to those words, immediately drew the conclusion in her heart that her grandson had lied. Without saying much, her grandmother opened the door and walked up to Betty and pulled the blanket. He also pressed down firmly on Betty's legs wrapped in the bandage.

"Who...! Sick grandma!" His shouting.

"Shut up!

"But grandma. Betty's feet hurt."

"Open or not?

Then he said inwardly as he opened the bandage slowly.

"Damn! I'm busted.

Finish me for lying to this slang granny."

Then after all the bandages were removed, her grandmother could see that her grandson's legs were fine.

His grandmother was very angry because she had been lied to. But he said nothing but just stared at his granddaughter furiously and then went into the kitchen.

Betty followed her grandmother and apologized. But her grandmother always ignored her.

Betty continued to persuade her grandmother tirelessly and apologized. Until finally his grandmother stopped her busy life and invited Betty to sit at the dinner table. His face was very serious as if he was going to tell a very important story.

Then in that quiet and tense moment, her grandmother stretched out her hand and tightly clasped her grandson's hand while looking at him intently and then sadly. Betty became misbehaved because of the sudden change. Then his grandmother began her words. He said,

"Son, grandma's sorry for being too hard on you. You're my only granddaughter. And grandma wants granddaughter to be a successful person later. The one who can answer all the charges of people, and who makes grandma proud."

"What does grandma mean?" Betty was doubtful.

"Grandmother wants you to be an honest child."

"I'm sorry Betty yeah grandma. But Betty didn't mean to lie to grandma. Betty was just afraid to bring trouble to her parents. Because Betty thought, they would definitely punish without listening to the explanation first."

"What's your problem?"

"So, I'm afraid my friends bully me grandma. And I'm not ready to hear it. Betty made a mistake."

"You know? Grandma's time is still your age, grandma never cares what people say. Not even until now. Although this heart hurts, but grandma tries hard to ignore it. Then when she grew up, she fell in love with a man who was also an employee at the factory. The man was nice to grandma. But grandma didn't think that she was just pretending. Grandma believed in his words. But two days after he received the money, he was already out of sight. Grandma asked her friend. And he said he resigned and married another woman. Grandma's heart is broken. Grandma's hopes ran aground. Tired money for years is gone. Grandma did not think why she was so willing to deceive grandma. Grandma loved him so much.

I think Grandma wanted to go look for him and finish him off. But where? Then grandma thought, it's just a waste of time and effort. My grandmother was very depressed at the time.
