7 years later.
In just 7 years, everything that used to be has completely changed. Same with the calls of some.
"Please young master."
An old man opened the door of the newly arrived car with his chauffeur. The man wearing neat clothes got out of the car. Black suits, and shiny leather shoes make it look charming.
"Call me like I used to, uncle Darma."
"That's because you don't look like a kid anymore." Mr. Darma patted the man on the shoulder with joy.
"It's just my physique. I'm still the old Aldrich. By the way how's mom doing?" Aldrich asked as he fixed the position of his watch.
"Miss Emma is actually fine. He was just pretending to be sick for you to come here."
Aldrich smiled. "I already know. Isn't my mom funny? I mean, how was it before I came?"
"He spent two buckets of fried chicken alone. Maybe after you enter, the mistress will act if the end is near."
Aldrich was astonished by Emma's recent dramatic nature. Though he just visited yesterday, but now says miss and want to meet. That unnatural attitude made her think back to Emma when she was pregnant with her first child. The attitude of being spoiled and wanting to be noticed was exactly the same.
Could she be pregnant again?
"All right, then what about-"
Puk!
Suddenly a small creature wrestled on Aldrich's back.
"Not to be uncle. I'm going in first." Feeling that his question had been answered, Aldrich immediately entered the house.
The house has changed a lot since Aldrich left it 7 years ago. Details that he did not see the development, such as the red spider lily garden made by Mr. Darma, and the mango fruit tree are some effects because he has lived here again. Just visiting a few days once could not make him remember in detail.
The house has doubled in size since Emma bought the house next to her and dismantled its barrier 3 years ago. The woman felt her house was less large for people, so expanded it with Wayne as the second homeowner.
Upon reaching the house, Aldrich is greeted by Emma, who is lying weakly on the couch. Thick blankets and compresses of his head were seen to be installed in a hurry. Must have put it on when she heard Aldrich's car coming.
"Uhuk! Uhuk! My son is old, he is 18, he rarely comes home. When I'm old, I want to see her again."
The drap! The drap! The drap!
Matt comes in a panic at Emma. "Hold my wife! Don't think about that kid again! He's grown up. Even without us, he's already an independent man."
Aldrich saw the drama in silence. He could not figure out why his adoptive parents were doing something so useless. Should he give me a cup? Or register them to audition to be artists? Even near the sofa he still saw the rest of the fried chicken crumbs, according to the story of Mr. Darma earlier.
"What are you doing?" Aldrich asked as he walked closer to Emma.
"Al's? That you? I'm sick now." Emma spoke in the tone of a dying man.
"You rarely visit here. Your mama got a lot of thoughts and pain." Matt perfects Emma's drama.
"His mind was probably covered in two buckets of fried chicken." Aldrich sat down near Emma who was shocked by the words of his son. How does he know?
Aldrich took off the small creature that was still attached to his back. "Why are you crazy like them? Maya."
It turns out that the one who wrestled Aldrich's back was a little girl with two pigtails. Her name is Maya, the daughter of Emma and Matt who is now 5 years old. White skin with large brown eyes. His face was as calm as Matt's, but when smiling it looked as nosy as Emma's. He is an overactive child and is often a fugitive of the house people. Because a second was not noticed, Maya was lost somewhere.
"I missed you. Let's play!" Just released, Maya re-attaches herself to Aldrich, and hangs on her brother's neck.
"Mama, why did you teach my sister to be a monkey?"
"Yesterday was worse. He's with Mr. Darma climbing up the roof to check for leaks. I've been advising him." Emma said casually as she folded back the blanket she used to play the drama earlier.
"Just advised?! This is a 3-story house! What if he falls? Mama should have scolded him. So that he won't be."
"Many scolded the boy was not good. It's good that he's strong anyway?" Matt said as casually as Emma.
"Be quiet, uncle, I'm not talking to you."
"I'M THIS YOUR PAPA KNOW!!!"
Since Emma and Matt were married, Aldrich decided to call Emma Mama, and Matt had to settle for Uncle. Actually Aldrich did that just to ignite his emotions.
"Mama, brother and papa are fighting again." Adu Maya's.
"Leave it." Emma took the remaining fried chicken she had hidden earlier and continued to eat it. But not yet bit him a bit, Aldrich immediately grabbed him.
"Stop eating unhealthy foods. Mama's pregnant, eat more vegetables."
"How did you know I was pregnant?! Matt! You said that to Al, didn't you? I told you it was a surprise!" Emma was angry while pointing at the confused Matt.
"No, I didn't say anything."
Aldrich picked up Maya and put the girl on his lap. "I guessed it myself. Because your attitude is the same as it was during Maya's pregnancy."
"It's hard to have smart kids, too. Can't be given a surprise. By the way don't you know Al? He said that he ate a lot of vegetables for his daughter, if he ate a lot of meat for his son. Because I already have a daughter, so now it has to be a boy." Emma pulled the chicken slowly from Aldrich's hand.
"Didn't you have a son? Next up it doesn't matter if it's women anymore." Aldrich kept the chicken away and ate it sadistically.
"Myk..." Emma was crying while rolling on the couch.
"Al, give that to your mama." Matt tries to get Aldrich's fried chicken for Emma.
"Uncle don't spoil mama."
"I'M YOUR PAPA!!!"
Aldrich was just indifferent and left with Maya, heading for the back garden.
"I want to get some fresh air while chatting with Maya. Oh yeah, just give your mama some boiled meat if she really wants a boy." Aldrich said as he sauntered away.
After Emma and Matt got married 7 years ago, Aldrich moved into the Hamilton family home, while Matt moved into Emma's house. There, Aldrich fired the entire housekeeper, and did all the housework by himself. It is used to prevent enemies in blankets. Sometimes Ryker stays and helps him clean up. Aldrich was quite happy to occupy the mansion all by himself. But the last 3 years, he was bullied by someone who likes to stay forcibly in his house.
"Sister, let's go jump lizard." Maya spoke with a flaring smile.
"What is a lizard jump? Brother doesn't know."
"Ah big sister is so old-fashioned. Jump the lizard how to crawl and then jump with two hands and two feet at the same time."
"Sounds hard."
"It's exciting tofu! Maya created it."
"My brother is smart." Aldrich rubbed Maya's head gently. She loved Maya as much as her sister.
"Sir, why are we playing outside? Jumping lizards can be in the house."
"So, I'm waiting for someone to show up."
"Someone?"
When I left, the car felt heavier than usual. There must be a kid there. Because the stowaway didn't protest immediately when the new car arrived, it meant that he was going to protest when I was outside the house. Let's just wait.
"We'll sit here first." Aldrich sat down on the garden chair and put Maya beside him. "How's school?"
"Fairly fun. But Maya's friends say Maya wasn't smart. And accuse Maya of giving money to the school in order to get to class." Maya bowed lethargic while squeezing her hands.
Thanks to Aldrich's upbringing in Maya as a child, the girl grew up to be a smart child. At the age of one year, Aldrich had taught him to count with children's games. Then at the age of two years, he can already do addition and subtraction smoothly. Over time his intelligence continues to grow significantly, until at the age of 5 years, he has sat on the bench in grade 3 SD.
"People who say that don't deserve your thoughts. They're just trash that envy you." Aldrich rubbed Maya's hand with a smile.
"Oh yes, tomorrow Maya there is a test, does brother Al want to accompany Maya to study?" Maya hugs Aldrich's arm spoiled as usual.
"I can keep you learning."
Suddenly another voice sounded. A man came and sat beside Maya. Both of his ears were pierced, and his hair was light purple.
Aldrich sighed lazily. See it? The guy really showed up.
"Huh! I don't want to be taught by Chris." Maya threw away her face.
"Basic midget!" Chris pulled one of Maya's hairpins.
"Huaaaa brother Chris is evil." Maya cries while hugging Aldrich.
"Snap, why are you here? Not afraid to meet your father?" Aldrich rubbed his sister's back to stop crying.
Chris shrugged his shoulders. "I was hiding in the trunk of my brother's car. I thought you were going to the company as usual. It's good to go on the road. Uh it was here. I hope I don't see him."
Chris, the boy was afraid to go home because he was always scolded by Wayne. As a result, Aldrich's house was used as a shelter during his rebellion. Chris almost entered the age of 15 years, but his behavior is so naughty that it makes Wayne growled. Instead of studying, Chris prefers wild motor racing, and going for free fights. His innocent nature that used to make it easy to be instigated by his friends at school, and follow their behavior is not good. Chris prefers to stay with Aldrich. Because Aldrich is used to advising such troubled people, making Chris not too far into the wrong world.
The broaches!
Everyone looked at the grass that suddenly moved. It turns out there is a boy who is two years older than Maya.
"Hello Chester." Sapa Aldrich's. But the child who stood looking at him was silent, then left with a mango in his hand. Maybe he just picked a mango from Emma's yard.
"Hey Chester! Just be careful if you tell dad I'm here." Shouted Chris.
The boy called Chester stopped walking and turned to look at Chris. "If you yell like that you'll get caught, you idiot."
The boy whose face looks like a copy of Wayne is his son with Karine. Chester was born on the day of Emma and Matt's wedding. He is now 7 years old. The child's nature was inversely proportional to Chris's childhood. Chester tends to be quiet and talkative. His daily activities are only filled with learning and learning. Sometimes he was frustrated because as many books as he read, still his intelligence lost to Maya. It also makes him not want to hang out with Maya. Her shame and envy made her dislike Maya. And for her brother Chris, Chaster would rather be considered to have no older brother. To him that stupid brother was just a disgrace. If his brother were Aldrich, he would be very proud.
"You-you"
"That's it, don't argue with the kids." Aldrich calmed down Chris who was about to get angry.
"Al, tomorrow-" Emma suddenly appears and is shocked to see Chris there. "Oh my goodness Chris! Why are you here?! When's that?"
"Sst! Aunt don't be loud. My father will know."
"You're okay, right? And... Hair color change again? Yesterday feeling green moss. Now so eggplant?"
"Please give me a better nickname."
"Tante, can I take one mango?" Chester yelled in the distance.
"Oh there's you too. You can, just take it. Don't tell me everything." Emma nodded in a friendly manner.
At first I didn't want to say either. But the voice of the foolish brother was loud. The father in the house could hear. I just didn't want any fights, so purposely disguised his voice with mine. Not that I care about that stupid brother.
Chester walked away to his house next door.
Aldrich smiled at Chester. The boy had already begun to accept Chris, and help him. Though from the beginning he did not want to talk to Emma about mangoes, but when Chris spoke he also talked. Intentionally disguising the sound huh? Smart kid.
"Why smile for yourself Al?"
"Ah no, what did you want to say?" Tanya Aldrich shifted the topic.
"Tomorrow there's an event at the orphanage. You have to come."
"alright. I'll clear my schedule."
In recent years, Aldrich has been visiting orphanages from Emma and her mother. When I first visited there, many people hugged him while crying. Although Aldrich at that time did not know why they were crying, it was definitely not a cry of sadness.
