Emma was near her house. It's almost midnight. The journey from the orphanage to the house is quite far because of the location of the orphanage on the outskirts of the city.
Suddenly from far away, Emma saw someone standing in front of the fence. When hit by the spotlight of his car lights, it was clear that the figure was Aldrich.
Emma stopped the car. They stared at each other for a moment. Aldrich's facial expression looked serious, making him less and less like a 10-year-old in general. It was the first time Emma had seen such an ambiguous and intimidating expression from Aldrich.
"Not sleeping Al?" Emma asked as she got out of the car. He tried to smile as usual.
"Sister Emma knows, right?" Aldrich went straight to the heart of the matter, leaving Emma a little surprised by it.
"Yes already know."
Aldrich nodded slowly. "Then I'll go now."
"Go? Go where?" Emma is confused when Aldrich suddenly carries a bag.
"Go from this house. My goal has been fulfilled, and to go even further, it is very difficult to stay here."
Emma shook her head, and held Aldrich's hand. "I won't let you go!"
"Why? Emma's sister should have known that I was just hitchhiking to find out about the Hamilton family. I'm just using brother. Now it's time for me to fight them. Isn't Emma's sister afraid of getting hit?"
Emma could not answer. On one hand he wants to protect Aldrich and be a shield for him against the Hamilton family. But on the other hand, if this business was destroyed, what would he say to his late adoptive father?
"Rose Group does not belong to sister. If it is gone, is it no problem? The hard work of Emma's brother developing it for years will be in vain, and the sacrifice of Mr. Cassius to raise a child so that his business can continue, will also be useless. So then? Still want to keep me?"
Aldrich releases Emma's hand holding her. "Thank you for everything you've given me so far, I'm so happy. One day, I'll change everything. Good bye"
With heavy strides, Aldrich walked away from Emma. The highlight of the car lights illuminating his dark path made his heart even more sick. Ever since Emma left, she kept thinking about this. About when he should go? And why stay? After arguing with his own mind, he decided to leave now. Before the Hamilton family went any further.
"Wait!!!"
Emma suddenly shouted. Aldrich turned to him.
"You think I can't do both?" Emma walked up to Aldrich with emotion. "Maybe you forgot who I am. I'm Emma Rosaline, who can do both. Protect you, and protect the Rose Group. Who is the Hamilton family? They can't scare me one bit."
Aldrich looked at Emma. He did not understand what this woman in front of him was thinking. Emma's weird, but this time it's weird. Does he not know how powerful the Hamilton family is? Why would you dare to take an attack from them?
"So, don't go okay?" Emma crouched down in front of Aldrich, then hugged him. "Whatever you want to do, just do it. The rest, I take care of it. It's not pampering you, it's my affection. Even if I get hurt, it doesn't matter. Most importantly, you stay here to encourage me."
May it?
"Could indeed? I asked for help, brother?" Aldrich's tears suddenly fell. But he is not sad. Why even cry?
"What are you talking about? Of course I can." Emma let go of his embrace, then rubbed Aldrich's head slowly. "But promise me one thing."
"Promise?"
"Promise not to leave me." Emma thrusts her little finger at Aldrich, and despite doubts the boy finally hooks his little finger.
"I promise."
"alright. Let's show Hamilton's family the devil how terrible we are."
"Yes." Yeah."

Emma sat next to the dreamy Aldrich at the dinner table.
"Don't want to sleep?" Emma asked while eating Ron's cooked chicken soup for dinner.
"No interest." Answer Aldrich briefly.
"Oh yes. How do you know I went to find information?"
"Uncle Darma said, brother went to the beach. Although usually Emma's sister does do random things, but it won't be that weird. I think Uncle Darma misheard. Then that almost similar word was parlour. So it must have gone to the parlor."
"Geez, when I clearly said the parlour, why could it be the beach? Haha." Emma scooped up her soup, and asked again. "Trus why do you know that I have information in my orphanage?"
"I remember when Emma's sister first visited my mother's grave. Brother's expression looked puzzled after reading the name on his tombstone. Like a person who is surprised, but forgets something. I'm guessing that Emma's sister read her name somewhere. So, when I found out Emma's sister went to an orphanage, it must have something to do with it. Because my mom is from the same orphanage as my sister."
"You know, that our orphanage is the same?"
Aldrich nodded. "Through the brooch of lotus flowers in the photo that you put on display."
"Oh that one." Emma smiled and rubbed Aldrich's head. "After this, we will not be separated."
