Hachisaku~sama part 2

this is very important," he said in a loud voice. "you have to tell us exactly how tall he is?"

"As high as the garden fence," I answered, beginning to feel fear.

My grandfather bombarded me with questions ...

"Where is he standing? When did this happen? What the hell are you doing? Did he see you? "

I try to answer all the questions as best I can. Suddenly he rushed into the hallway and made a phone call. I can't hear what he's saying. I looked at Grandma and she was shaking.

Grandpa went back into the room and talked to my grandmother.

"I have to go for a minute" he said. "You live here with the boy. Don't take your eyes off her for a while. "

"What's going on, Grandpa?" My yelling.

He looked at me with a sad expression in his eyes and said, "You are liked by Hachishakusama."

After which, grandfather rushed out, got into his truck and left.

I turned to my grandmother and carefully asked, "Who is Hachishakusama?"

"Don't worry" he replied in a trembling voice.

As we sat nervously in the kitchen waiting for my grandfather to return, my grandmother explained what had happened. He told me that there was a danger haunting this area. They call it "Hachishakusama" because of its height. In Japanese, "Hachishakusama" means "Eight Feet High."

A very tall woman and her distinctive voice

"Ro ... Po ... Po ..." in a deep voice. It seems a little different, depending on who sees it. Some say she looks like a skinny old woman in a kimono and others say that she is a girl in a white funeral shroud... One thing that never changes is the height and sound it has.

Once upon a time, he was captured by monks and they managed to handle him in a ruined building on the outskirts of the village. They trapped him using 4 small religious statues called "jizos" which were placed in the ruins of North, South, East and West and he should not be able to move from there. Somehow he got away.

The last time he showed up was 15 years ago. My grandmother said that anyone who saw Hachishakusama was doomed to die within a few days.

It all sounds so crazy, I'm not sure I should believe it.

When my grandfather came back, there was an old woman with him. He introduced himself named "K-san" and gave me a small piece of crumbling parchment, saying, "Here, take this and hold it." Then, he and my grandfather went upstairs to do something. I was left alone in the kitchen with my grandmother again.

I have to go to the toilet. My grandmother followed me to the bathroom and didn't let me close the door. I'm starting to get really scared about all this.

After a while, Grandpa and K-san took me upstairs and took me to my room. The windows were covered in newspapers and many ancient writings had been written on them. There was a small bowl of salt in all four corners of the room and a small Buddha statue was placed in the center of the room above a wooden box. There is also a bright blue bucket.

"What's that bucket for?" My toot.

"That's for urinating and your poop" replied my grandfather.

K-san sat me down on the bed and said, "Hurry up, the sun will set, so listen carefully. You should stay in this room until tomorrow morning. You can't be out in any circumstances until 7am tomorrow.
