Stain From you

Stain From you
Chapter 4 Marrying Gilda?

Gilda still tightly shut her mouth, and increasingly held onto her stomach. Pray in your heart, when Mateo's flaming phone is propped up on him. Gilda, who saw CCTV footage on Mateo's phone screen, then closed her gaping mouth for a few seconds.

“That night you didn't sleep in the guest room, son.” Gilda slowly nodded, stiff, along with a very forced smile. Mateo who observed Gilda's expression, did not divert her eyes at all. He watched Gilda's movements begin to change more clearly.

“That blind-morning are you out of my grandson's room?” mateo asked, which made Gilda's heart feel like it had been hit by a heavy blunt object. Gilda slowly nodded her head, and made the corner of Mateo's lips pulled upwards.

“But nothing happened, Grandpa. Grandpa need not worry,” said Gilda who tried to smile wider. “I and Edzhar just sleep, no more.”

“I haven't asked that far.”

Gilda was getting more difficult to breathe hearing Mateo's words as if she wanted to dig deeper. Gilda also felt that what she said just now was excessive, and was able to arouse Mateo's suspicion of his attitude. Gilda bowed for a while, before finally looking at Mateo.

“Please don't tell Edzhar or Carla about it. I don't want to ruin both of them, Grandpa. That night was just an accident that should never have happened,” explained Gilda as she grabbed Mateo's hand. “I'll stay away from them, I won't interfere with Ed and Carla's relationship, Grandpa. Let that night be a bad memory for me.”

Mateo was silenced. Gilda took her spoon, and put pieces of tofu and vegetables into her mouth. While chewing, he looked at Mateo who was pounding.

“You are sure that night was only the worst night, and will never be related to Edzhar in the future?” ask the old man who made Gilda stop eating spontaneously, and put down her spoon. “Be honest with me,” firmly Mateo who made Gilda inevitably look at grandfather Edzhar closely and began to open her mouth.

Biting her lips, Gilda's hand did not stop stroking her belly wrapped in her blue dress. “I'll take care of my baby alone,” she said later, and Mateo gasped.

There was a look of shock on the old man's face. However, the twinkle in his eyes could not be hidden. Mateo also glanced at Gilda's hand which was stroking her stomach slowly. “You are pregnant with Edzhar's child, and she is not an arbitrary fetus. Your prospective son is part of Martinez,”, said Mateo, who made Gilda swallow.

“I don't want to erase Ed's happiness, especially just for the sake of this baby I'm carrying,” gilda's gusto who sits more firmly and smiles loudly even though the net is glazed. His gaze was fully directed at the man before him. “I couldn't possibly destroy their wedding plans, just because it contained an accidental fetus,” Gilda said.

“Until any time the baby belongs to the Martinez family. So, think about your actions ahead. Really should you think,” explains Mateo in a more serious, but gentle tone. “Your words and Ed's been on her since that fetus grew up. I'm not going to hide his whereabouts from Ed. My granddaughter deserves to know.”

Gilda's expression looked even more anxious after hearing Mateo's explanation. That wasn't the plan. “Really, I'm fine taking care of him. I don't want to destroy Ed's future with Carla, Grandpa.” Threw Mateo's hand and held firmly while asking, “I beg you, let me live quietly with my future baby.”

“I don't want you to endure shame or misery in the future,” said Mateo as he pulled his hand from Gilda's grip. Mateo pulled back the chair and stood up. “Eat quietly,” he said as he patted Gilda's left shoulder briefly.

The old man walked away from the table where Gilda was eating. Followed by a young man who emerges from the other table. Mateo was accompanied until the two men got into a large black car.

Gilda who was aware of Mateo's words, grew worried. “I'm not a destroyer of people's relationships. I'm not a teaser. I never wanted this to happen, Ed. I'm sorry ..” whispered with his head bowed.

Gilda really doesn't know what to do now. He was sure that sooner or later Mateo would have exposed his secret to Edzhar. If that were to happen, perhaps not only would Edzhar hate her, Carla and everyone around her would look disdainfully at her.

This afternoon Gilda had just finished storing the leftover dough into the freezer. The employees had gone home first, only he and Dalila were still there. Once out of the production room, Edzhar's figure greeted him. The surprised Gilda stopped walking.

“It's done?” edzhar asked which made Gilda spontaneously nod. “Auntie I asked to go home first, because I want to take you out.”

“For what?” asked Gilda who tried not to get nervous in front of Edzhar. “I want to go home, it looks like I need a break, Ed. Can tomorrow only.”

“I can't put it off, because something I want to talk about is very important.” Gilda gulped her saliva at the sight of this intense gaze of her best friend. “I promise it won't be long.”

“Alright, wait a minute. I take my things first,” Gilda replied as she moved out of Edzhar's presence and into her dugout. The woman hurriedly entered while sighing deeply. “Is it possible that Mateo's grandfather told Ed?” gilda asked herself as she touched the belly of her queen.

Quiet a few seconds to calm down, after which Gilda took her bag and immediately went out to meet Edzhar who was waiting. Gilda was opened by Edzhar after the woman closed her bakery. The two got into Edzhar's private car, with Gilda sitting next to the man.

While controlling the steering wheel of the car, Edzhar suddenly asked, “Do you think I am not a good man?”

“Do you think I'm not a good friend to you?”

“I don't understand. Why are you suddenly asking something unimportant? Obviously you're the best friend, you're a good man.”

“Then, why didn't you open it to me?” edzhar asked as she glanced at Gilda's flat stomach. “You can hide our baby from me, Gil. Why don't you want to tell me?”

“Not that I don't want to tell you a story, I just don't want to ruin your marriage with Carla. I know how much you love him, Ed.”

“But what you've done so far is wrong. You're pregnant because of me.” Looking towards Gilda for a moment, before adding, “You won't be able to contain if I don't touch you that night.”

“If I say what it is after knowing I'm pregnant, will you immediately believe it?” Edzhar who was about to interrupt Gilda's speech was made silent by Gilda's words again who asked, “Despite the CCTV evidence at Mateo's grandfather's house, will you still believe me? That speech without proof will not be believed, even if I am your friend, Ed.”

“Then what are your plans ahead? Are you going to live with him without telling him who his birth father is?” Gilda, who was staring at Edzhar, turned her head to the left. He refused to speak. “You are selfish if you do that,” said Edzhar before increasing the rate of four-wheeled vehicles he was riding with Gilda.

Before stepping on the gas pedal, he directed his glance at Gilda's stomach while saying, “You don't need to worry, I'll be in charge.” The two are shrouded in silence during the journey as Gilda has no intention of reciting.

Gilda could not open her voice again after hearing the question as well as the last statement from Edzhar. The woman chose silence while bowing her head. His mind grew increasingly confused after Edzhar learned of his pregnancy which he kept secret from everyone, including the aunt.

Edzhar's silver car passed through a large courtyard belonging to someone he knew very well. Gilda had guessed from the beginning that she would be taken to Martinez's residence. Moreover, once Edzhar heard the news of her pregnancy, it was definitely sourced from Mateo.

He went down immediately after Edzhar opened the door. Gilda followed Edzhar's steps, walking behind the man with her hands holding the strap of her sling bag. After passing through the main door, Gilda could see the figure of Mateo sitting on one of the sofas in the living room.

“Come into Ed's room, Mona has prepared clothes for you there. Clean up before discussing and having dinner together,” orders Mateo when Gilda wants to join him on the sofa with Edzhar and the old man.

“Alright, Grandpa ..” replied Gilda obediently and immediately went to Edzhar's room which she should not have come to again. Mona, standing near the second-floor staircase, accompanied her up to her in front of Edzhar's room. The woman says that she is obliged to accompany Gilda on Mateo's orders.

Not much time is wasted on Gilda cleaning and wearing a plain light brown home dress. The woman went down with Mona. The main servant in Martinez's mansion was ordered to go to the back after Mateo asked Gilda to sit beside Edzhar, and cross with him.

“I agree with Grandpa's suggestion, I will marry Gilda.”

The newly joined Gilda, surprised by Edzhar's remarks to Mateo. “You should have been together. Grandfather who will take care of your wedding, and discuss the cancellation of your marriage with Carla.”

“Let me tell Carla, Kek.”

“Alright, grandfather will talk to Carla's parents after you talk to your fiancee.” Edzhar agreed. Then looked towards Gilda who was staring at the grandfather. “There's something you want to tell us?”

“Pregnant your son did not turn me into a bad woman,” said Gilda then bit her lower lip, holding back tears that were about to come down. “I'm not a cruel woman, I'm your best friend and Carla, I can't bear to see your marriage void.”

“My decision is round. I don't want my great-granddaughter to be labeled as an illegitimate child or whatever she calls it. He's part of Martinez that I have to pay attention to.”

Edzhar. “Follow Grandpa's plan, Grandpa wants to give justice to you and the baby in your stomach,” whispered Edzhar then continued, “Think carefully of our son's future.”

“As her future mother you should know, that a child born outside marriage will be looked at with one eye, Gilda. Do you want your child to be treated badly after birth without clear parents, son?”

Gilda shook her head. “But I thought about Carla's feelings, Grandpa.”

“You cannot get married without my blessing,” said someone who suddenly entered and made all eyes on him. The woman who was far above Gilda glanced sharply while walking quickly to where they were talking. The woman sat beside Mateo and said, “I never agreed my beloved son married an orphan girl.”
