Chapter 1: The Beginning of Reincarnation

Yuqing City, November 2, 19XX

The wind blew strong enough, pounding the fresh air to cover the entire world. Black smoke soaring high above the sky, covering the shining sunlight. The streets of the city that was once crowded with people passing by to find a destination, are now a very terrible crowd.

An unwanted portal actually appeared all over the world, leaving everyone shocked and shrouded in astonishment. Portals of different colors open in the middle of the city, on the sky, in the sea, even in the depths of the forest and in the middle of the desert.

What appeared from within the portal was a strange creature that threatened the entire world. They attacked all the humans they saw without mercy. It makes the human population reduced drastically due to slaughter to reach one hundred million people.

All humans tried to fight the monster using modern weapons in the form of pistols, tanks, and even tried to use nuclear weapons. As a result, it did not make the slightest scratch for the creatures.

The creature was eventually called the Monster that came from another world, Ligot. As monsters grew, the human population decreased. As humans began to lose hope, there appeared someone with superpowers capable of injuring, even killing monsters.

That person was Yue Bing. First person worldwide to get «Awakening» process from this chaos time. He fought all the Ligots scattered around the world to save the human race.

From the moment he appeared, many people began to follow him in the process of awakening power. It happened because they absorbed something coming out of the portal that was shaped like a star.

The strength of the splinter is called «Starfall».

Starfall appeared at a time when the number of Ligots gathered within the portal had already exceeded the limit. Exceeding the boundary in intent is the portal itself open semi-permanently. As the temporary portal turned permanent, it would form the core of Starfall.

Yue Bing, the first person to awaken the power of a «King», travels the world to eradicate all Ligots. Along the way, he finds some trustworthy companions.

Until in the end, he reached a permanent portal called as the final portal, «Night Dream».

He enters the portal to fight against the last boss of all Ligots. If he managed to defeat him, the peace he had longed for long ago would be happening before his eyes instantly.

Yue Bing went inside and arrived at a stone gate engraved with the image of twin dragons and the image of a human. It gave him a feeling like a war was going on between them.

Seeing that, Yue Bing could believe that the information her partner was looking for was correct. The last boss he was going to fight was a white dragon whose height was almost close to a mountain.

Despite that, Yue Bing was not afraid even if she had to fight the boss alone. Because he was already very tired and wanted to rest immediately after a very long fight.

"This is the final hurdle for us to eradicate all Ligots in this world and gain true peace for the world." Yue Bing spoke to her comrades with high determination and confidence.

"Well, that doesn't matter. We will help you with all our might, so there is no need to say such shameful things." said one of them who carried a shield in his right hand.

The one who carried the staff and wore magic clothes nodded. "Alright, ignore him. I'll be with you even if it's hell, man."

"Don't be afraid to ask for my help when you're desperate." said the person carrying the dagger and bow while embracing Yue Bing.

Hearing that, Yue Bing almost shed tears at what her comrades had said. He finally made up his mind to defeat the boss and return with them.

"Thou-impossible!" yue Bing exclaimed at the majestic figure standing in front of her.

Yue Bing saw two enormous white and black dragon tails sitting on a large altar. They look not like ordinary dragons, but ancient dragons in the story.

"W-how could? It's different from the information we got." Yue Bing was startled as she spoke, muttering the contents of her current thoughts.

After knowing that, Yue Bing immediately looked towards her partner who gave the information. Instantly, his body trembled and limp. It was because his comrades did not come with him inside.

"I'm sorry, Yue Bing. I have to do this."

"We do this for our lives. So, I have no other choice."

"If the entire portal of the world were to disappear, we would again be who we were in the past."

They were all originally people who wanted money, popularity and titles. Those three things had blinded them to sacrifice Yue Bing and become enemies of the entire human race.

"Why are you..."

It broke through Yue Bing's naive thinking. From the beginning, they seemed to have planned this. His heart was broken and all the memories they made were instantly shattered in his mind.

The boss door slowly closed as the time period of entering the room had been met. Before the door was closed, Yue Bing gritted her teeth in annoyance and cursed them all.

"Fucking basics! This is how you treat your friends! From the beginning I shouldn't have trusted you!" he paused his words while putting on a very horrible face and glaring at them.

"When I survive this, I will come to you one by one to make and count this grudge!" continuing his sentence, he pointed the twin swords he held towards his three comrades.

After saying that out loud, the door finally closed tightly. In the end, Yue Bing faced a huge problem right in front of her.

Looking at the two ancient dragons, Yue Bing subconsciously muttered the contents of her mind. "Even though I said that, how am I supposed to fight these two dragons alone?"

The impossible battle won between Yue Bing and the two dragons finally happened and the result given was quite shocking. Yue Bing managed to kill the white dragon and the payoff from it was her right arm.

And the black dragon he was fighting right now was stronger due to the death of the white dragon. The outcome of this is pretty clear. The dragon was still in top condition, whereas Yue Bing was already exhausted physically and mentally.

The magic he was wearing had already almost reached its limit due to the lack of stats on Mana. His stamina was also drained quite a lot due to fighting the white dragon. His mentality was barely strong enough to withstand the intimidation from the black dragon.

Many conditions still make him lose this battle. And in the end, Yue Bing killed the black dragon at the cost of her life.

It should all be peaceful because the white dragon and the black dragon were gone, but Yue Bing did not know that the two ancient dragons were not the boss behind «Night Dream». The person behind all of this is...
