Episode 24: The Presence of the Hope

Ming Yae waited for half an hour and Yue Bing did not come down to eat. Being impatient again, he went upstairs to call out to her once more.

"It's a long time." Ming Yae grumbled as she climbed the stairs.

Stepping to the front door of Yue Bing's room, Ming Yae knocked on the door several times, but there was no sound or movement present within the room. Ming Yae tried again, and it remained the same.

Ming Yae held the doorknob, turned it around, and it turned out that it was not in the key, "Sir Ren... I open it." He said as he opened the door slowly.

As the door opened, all Ming Yae saw was empty rooms no sign of Yue Bing at all. Looking in all directions, Ming Yae called Yue Bing, "Sir Ren..." By stepping into the room.

"Is he in the bathroom?" He thought with a look towards the small door at the end of the room.

Ming Yae slowly walked up to the small door and knocked on it while calling Yue Bing, "Sir Ren... Is brother inside?"

Since there was no authorization, Ming Yae opened it and it turned out to be empty. Closing back the bathroom door, she walked towards the bed and sat on the edge.

"Where is Ren?"

As Ming Yae muttered like that, she looked towards an open window. Waking up from his seat, he walked towards the window and looked outside.

The view he saw was quite unpleasant. Buildings that are damaged, cracked, some even collapsed. Trees that grow are not appropriate. And the sky should be bright, a little cloudy as a result of Starfall continuing to come out of the portal.

Ironically looking at it, Ming Yae smiled bitterly and said, "It's quite beautiful when viewed from a different point of view."

Sighing, Ming Yae stared down. He was surprised to see a crack on the floor that formed a leg.

"What's this?" He said by touching the crack.

He turned around and the crack became more and more apparent. At first she did not see this crack because of the focus of looking for Yue Bing. But at this moment, he was astonished and confused by what he saw.

As the focus looked at the crack, Ming Yae was startled with a pat on the shoulder by someone who suddenly appeared behind her. Without a second thought, Ming Yae kicked around horizontally.

*Duak* the kick was blocked using the hand, but the person who was kicked was pushed until it hit the wall.

Ming Yae then twisted her body to kick the person with her other leg, but she instead fell down as she slipped on an object tied with a cloth.

"Oh." Whimpering in pain, Ming Yae held her banged head.

"Hey. Do you want to kill me?" Yue Bing who was holding her leg, protested against Ming Yae who attacked her suddenly.

"Sister Ren..." Ming Yae's eyes widened to see the person she kicked earlier was Yue Bing.

"Yes, it's me. I almost fell to death from here." He complained that looking down there was an iron fence surrounding the inn.

As Ming Yae kicked the distance between the windows with her was quite close. If Yue Bing was pushed back a little, it was likely that she would fall. But fortunately, his left hand swiftly attached it to the wall.

Waking up from the floor, Ming Yae cleaned the back of her clothes and said, "Sir Ren where have you been? I've been waiting for my sister for over half an hour?"

Calming his almost jumping heart, Yue Bing replied, "I have a little business outside."

"What-what business"

Ming Yae stopped continuing her speech as a little girl slipped out from behind Yue Bing and hugged her.

Surprised by what he saw, Ming Yae drew the conclusion, "Who is this little girl? Is this your son?"

"Stop joking. How can I have a child if I've never done 'that' with anyone!" He rebuked with a little annoyance.

Gazing blankly ahead, Ming Yae seemed to think of something. Yue Bing waved her hand in front of her face and there was no reaction.

"Hello. Hey, Ming Yae, wake up!" He said by holding his shoulder and shaking his body.

"Ah? Sorry I was daydreaming. So, who's this little girl?" Upon realizing it he directly asked Yue Bing.

Hearing Ming Yae question, Yue Bing turned her gaze and brought the little girl to sit on the bed.

30 Minutes earlier...

The man replied pleading, "I-I don't know. I was just told by someone to catch him."

"Say who is that guy?" Yue Bing asked once again slowly whipping out the sword that stuck in the man's chest.

Previously, Yue Bing stabbed the man in the chest, but it would only hinder his movement not killing him. Because his heart was still intact and the sword blade was right beside his heart.

"Na-his name, Sung Kitae."

When the man mentioned the surname Sung, the sword that had not originally intended to hit his heart, now split his body in two.

[Villain's behavior detected.]

The blood dripping from his black sword, was still quite fresh. Yue Bing now had one additional grudge that she would take into account someday.

The little girl opened her eyes, looking blue eyes that were as beautiful as the sky as she knew she was staring at Yue Bing.

"Sister, where's the bad guy?" Asked the little girl while looking around her.

With a faint smile, Yue Bing replied, "Sister has already hit the bad guy, lest he get hatched and not try to kidnap you again."

"Well, really? Big brother is strong." With a cheerful smile and a face filled with excitement, it made Yue Bing's heart feel calm.

Overjoyed, the little girl hugged Yue Bing. But the next moment, he said, "Sister's clothes are dirty."

Yue Bing had almost forgotten to clean the blood marks stuck on her shirt as a result of the splash of blood that belonged to that person when she killed him.

"O-Oh this... There was someone who was painting the wall and it became splashed, deh." Reply Yue Bing made an excuse.

After which, Yue bing changed into asking back, "Sister Ren's name. What's your name?" He rubbed the little girl's head again.

"My name is Minetra, Jin Minetra." Answer with a big smile.

Yue Bing's eyes widened after the girl said her name. The name he once mentioned when he, Teressa, and Jin Haetus were having a party after victory.

(Based on the old man, I told you that time I was just kidding.) Muttering inwardly, Yue Bing looked at the little girl gently.
