System: The Death Game!

System: The Death Game!
Chapter 2: Another World?!!

"Ughs. Where's me?!" kei grumbled while he was still trying to get up after the incident. Unexpectedly, he was still inside his room, but in a dim state. Very different than usual.

Kei tried to find the light switch, turn it on. Unfortunately it didn't work even though Kei had pressed it over and over again. Therefore, he turned towards the window.

But when she opened the curtain, she was shocked.

"I-This, it's impossible!" Kei shouted as he opened the curtain, and found the world he saw.

This was his city, but it was much different! The city is destroyed by something. Few buildings are intact, with wild-growing plants where. Not only that, there was a strange creature that moved, resembling an animal. But Kei knew it wasn't the beast he thought it was.

The moonlight that illuminated slowly also added to the gripping impression. Moreover, the clouds that were moving slowly covered his light.

At that moment, Kei realized. His bedroom was completely destroyed, messy and not shaped like his old room. Whatever is true cannot be expressed in words.

But, seeing the terrible condition of the house made him remember with his family.

"Mother and Yuna?!!" instantly, Kei ran out of his room, and checked the entire house while shouting to call his mother and sister.

No one answered the call, there was only the sound of the whirring wind appearing. It only made Kei panic even more.

"Stranquilo, Kei. Panic will solve nothing. Well then, let's just reset it from the beginning" he said.

However, no matter how hard prayer tried, he really could not calm down. In addition, he who was sitting is now walking back and forth while continuing to curse.

"Damn! What the hell is this?! I remember when my body felt attracted, and my consciousness was gone. What the hell is going on? And also, what happened to this world? Was there a disaster?" kei said with worry.

He then remembered, that he had agreed to do the Eligibility Test. And instantly, a panel appeared in front of his face.

[Welcome, Individual No. 27. Now you will do a Test, by playing a game. If you can win this game, then you deserve the System.]

"Whoa!!" Kei was surprised when he heard a mechanical sound buzzing in his head. In addition, a writing earlier also appeared, such as explaining the words earlier.

Kei immediately understood, that in all games there must be a loss and a win.

"And if I lose?" ask Kei slowly.

[The individual will be removed from every world.]

The mechanical voice sounded like it was answering Kei's question, but in a flat tone when saying something terrible.

[Will you play? (Yes) / (No)]

Kei sighed looking at the options available before his eyes.

"Mostly this is a forced event, isn't it?" Kei remembered the incident in his room, when he chose (No) for the first time. Kei complained while slightly pointing at Yes's writing. Then, the panel disappeared, changing with new writing.

[Time left before the game starts: 4 minutes 12 seconds more. Here are the rules.]

Kei read the writing with the numbers that kept counting down it. And he realized.

"Game consists of 29 players. Just hang on to be last and you're gonna win?" read Kei a little confused. For a while, he did not understand what the writing meant, but within a few seconds, he understood.

"That means I have to defeat 28 others?!!" shout Kei.

***

"Fuck shit!!" Kei shrieked softly as he continued running in a small alley. The ground he stepped on shook, with an orderly vibration.

"I've been trying to support her, but!!" Kei turned in an alley, and continued running.

The sound of crushed objects continued to be heard behind him, while the sound of angry sounds emerged. The tremor that had been a bit slow was also getting faster, and Kei was also getting more panicked.

"It's impossible!!!" kei shouted as he tried to roll over, avoiding throwing gallon-sized debris from behind him.

Kei was now running from a six-armed huge monster. He accidentally met him while he was sneaking around while avoiding other Players in the city.

But he was just unlucky and met this monster on his escape.

"Nobody ever said that there would be monsters in this world!! I thought this was just a "battle royale" game that forced me to be the last one to survive, but it turned out that I was too naive!!" Kei shouted while running like he was going to cry.

Kei was surprised, but he had experienced this before.

No, not on the bus, but in this world. He had experienced this kind of feeling once. And not feeling it, the corner of Kei's mouth started to rise.

It was an announcement that featured the positions of the other Players in the game.

When the announcement happened, it was time, and no one could move in that space. It was similar to the time of the accident, where he could only speak while looking at his surroundings turning black and white like being played with.

("Bwahhh!! I was somehow saved!! But I can't be like this forever, can I?") asked Kei in that silence.

He looked at the unmoving monster before him, and slightly shuddered in horror.

("Because of this monster, no one dared to come near, did they?") kei asked quietly while watching the map showing the glowing orange dot. That is a sign for the other players.

The mark had already been reduced to 14, indicating that this was indeed a Death Game.

("Humm, I need to get out of this situation, and rearrange my plans. It's an advantage how people don't approach me. But it was an accident. Who would have guessed that the monsters of this world were filled with monsters?!!") inner Kei shouted.

He recalled that as he was walking to hide, a small ball-shaped object moved towards him.

Obviously Kei was scared, and kicking the live ball was as hard as he could. But who would have thought, it was a monster that would explode when it died, making its position known to this huge six-handed monster.

("Wait. Monster ball?") Kei recalled when he saw a pile of similar monsters in a trash can.

It was then that he came up with a plan, and just then and there, the announcement the System gave was completed.

Kei did not waste the opportunity, and immediately ran towards the huge trash can containing the ball monster.

"Eat this base of the nationad!!!" kei shouted as he threw the trash can with all his might. After that, he immediately ran and hid. Kei curled up, while covering his head with his hands.

The monster was enraged when Kei threw the trash can, and immediately caught it, smashing it with all six hands.

BOOM!!!

A violent explosion occurred, making Kei bounce from where he was curled up. Even the explosion could be heard throughout the city.

You could say, the explosion was equivalent to the explosion of 10 hand grenades combined into one. It would even be more reasonable to say that it was more akin to a bomb.

"Ugh. Damn~" Kei tried to crawl out of the debris of the explosion that surrounded him.

The body feels crumpled, with a torn shirt here and there. The bruise is also visible throughout the body, and blood is also seen flowing from various places.

[You defeated Hekatonchiere. Skill: Soul Eater]

"Did? What's the matter?!!" Kei cried out in bewilderment when he heard the sound of the System reverberating in his head. And again, it said something that Kei did not understand.

"Skills? Whatisit? Is it like an ability we can use?" ask Kei slowly. Then...

"Soul Eater!!" yelled Kei loudly.

Nothing's going on. It made Kei very embarrassed after realizing it. Even the crickets laughed seeing Kei singing the skill like a freak.

"What am I thinking?!! I'm so stupid!! Luckily no one was watching." Kei said as he started walking.

His body condition is really not good. Wounds all over his body. But it was still fortunate that there were not a few broken bones, making Kei still able to move well.

"Humm, I have to move. In 5 minutes, the location announcement will be coming soon." Kei dragged his feet to move towards a building.

According to him, the point only tells the position, but does not explain the height.

That was why he chose to go to a building, because it had many floors. He can outwit the enemy while recuperating himself.

He had no weapons, so he tied up some explosive monsters to guard.

Perhaps only Kei had the absurd idea of using the monster as his weapon, because the others were even very prepared for this.
