TAGGED WITH OM RICH

TAGGED WITH OM RICH
05. I Agree, On Terms..

The atmosphere of the living room of the President Suite Room type hotel room changed quietly.

Everything was silent, dissolving in each other's thoughts. Richard broke the silence, inviting them to dinner.

“We should eat first. Maybe after the stomach is filled, the mind will become clearer.” Said the man.

Papa Roy responded with a nod of agreement.

“Ran, Re. Come on, let's eat first.” Mama Dona invited her reluctant children to stand up.

“Mama go first. Me and Rena will follow.” Said Randy who understood the mood of his sister.

Richard, dad Roy and mom Dona have been sitting at the dinner table, which is not far from Renatta and Randy's couch.

“You sure you don't want to marry Rich?” Randy asked in a whisper.

Renatta. In his heart now raged.

“How do you like that grown man?” Ask the brother again.

“I hate it.” Those two words were spoken from Renatta's lips.

“Really? Since when? Didn't you adore him so much?”

“That was then, now no longer.” Said the girl slowly.

Randy nodded his head.

“So you can't help our family?” Asked the thirty-year-old man in a resigned tone.

“Is there no other way? We can't go broke just like that ‘kan?” Renatta turned around asking.

“There. By selling some assets. And of course we have to live frugally.”

“Only that?”

“You can do?”

Renatta did not answer the brother's question directly. Back in his mind, how would he be if he lived in deprivation.

“Kakak is okay. But what about my mom and dad? They built this venture together when they graduated college. Brother can not imagine, if at this time they have to re-twist the brain so that the effort they pioneered from zero does not go out of business.”

Renatta looked at Randy. The man was looking towards their parents who were at the dining table with Richard.

The girl followed the direction of the sister. He could see, there was no happy look on the faces of his parents.

Moreover, looking at the face of the papa, the fifty-five-year-old man was seen to hold a lot of burden.

Renatta became unbearable. All this time, the father had given her many things. Love and luxury too.

‘I'm sorry, pa, ma. I shouldn't think about myself. And Rich, we'll see. How I'm gonna get you to bend your knees to me. I'll return my heartache to you.’

“I agree.”

After dinner, they sat down on the sofa.

Renatta has expressed his agreement. But he wanted to speak seriously and put some conditions on Richard.

Of course the man is. Whatever Renatta's terms are, it won't matter to him.

“What terms do you want to apply for, Re?” Richard asked, opening his voice. They had been silent for too long without a word.

Renatta looked at Richard with vengeance.

The girl was already embittered by the rejection that Richard had given her several times. And again, the authoritarian nature of the man while a lecturer made Renatta even more resentful of the man.

“Rena.” Mama Dona interrupted.

“Approve my terms, or I don't want to marry Rich.” The girl stared in anger.

“That's all? Don't you have any other terms?” Ask Richard casually.

It doesn't matter with the terms Renatta proposes. It's no big deal to her if their marriage is kept secret.

Richard only needed her and the girl to be legal in the eyes of his law and religion, to make it easier for him to be responsible to Renatta.

“You accept Renatta terms?” Ask Father Roy to Richard.

The forty-year-old man nodded his head.

“No problem, um. Provided this marriage is official in the eyes of our religion.”

“What do you mean, om?” Renatta.

Richard cut his lips. He knew what Renatta had in mind. The girl thought she could play with this wedding.

But unfortunately he was wrong. Once tied up, Ricahrd won't let go.

“I don't want much. Just one. Official marriage, both religiously and legally applicable.”

Renatta heard Richard's words. He just wanted to apply for a marriage contract with the man. But his intentions were read by Richard.

“You know, the principle in my life is to marry only once in a lifetime. So, don't even think of getting away from me after you agreed to get married.”

Renatta's eyes were perfectly rounded. He heard a threat behind Richard's words.

“Papa, he threatened me. Are you guys gonna let me marry him?” Renatta looked at his parents.

Hopefully, papa and mom or brother understand Richard's words.

“Darling, Richard didn't threaten you. After all, who better than her to be your companion?” Mama Dona answered the princess.

The mother's words further stunned Renatta. How could the middle-aged woman say that, as Richard blatantly threatened her?

“Mama.” The girl could say nothing more.

None of the members of the Setiawan family supported him to reject the match.

“So we have agreed. The wedding will take place as Renatta wishes. I'll just invite people from the civil registry.” Richard then broke up.

“Then what about your family, Rich?” Ask papa Roy.

“Om just relax. They will also be present.”

Richard's parents now live in Australia, with the man's younger sister.

“Good.”

“Wait. Then what about om promise to help our company?” Renatta interjected as the father and Richard would hug each other in agreement.

“You just calm down. Just prepare for our wedding. Work business, let it be our business men.” Richard said casually.

Renatta nodded slowly. To be honest, he had not been able to accept any of this. Everything was so strange and it seemed that there was something behind it all.

It was not a financial matter of the company, but Renatta felt that something else had happened.

‘Why doesn't anyone feel like Rich is threatening me? Papa, mom and sister. Do you believe in this guy so much? What are you keeping from me?’
