TAGGED WITH OM RICH
54. All This Time I've Been Fooled.

Arriving at the room, Renatta put his clothes on the laundry basket. After that, he charged his phone.

The flat object had been powerlessly dead since the second day of his escape.

When the phone is connected to electrical power, the communication device turns on.

Lots of messages, and notifications keep that phone ringing. A few missed calls from Richard, Randy, Papa Roy, Gista to Dirga were shown on the screen.

“It turns out they're looking for me.” Renatta muttered while putting his phone on the dresser.

The woman then decided to take a shower. He also brought a change of clothes into the bathroom. Renatta was just in case if the husband came, then he was dressed.

Richard went into the room after a while. He did not find his wife in bed, but saw the door of the dressing room open.

The man then approached inside.

Renatta came out of the bathroom and changed his clothes. The woman also saw the arrival of the husband, but she ignored it.

Seeing his wife's behavior, Richard became anxious. He hugged the young woman and took her to bed. But what power, their relationship has not improved, so Richard has to hold back.

“Sayang.”

Richard made a sound after a moment of silence. Renatta, who was combing his hair, glanced at the husband.

“We have lunch first. Mama has made your favorite food.” Richard then said.

“You think you can persuade me with lunch?” Renatta said cynically.

Richard took a slow breath. “No. It's lunch time.” Answer the man later.

“Should mom cook?” Renatta asked with a throb.

“You've long since left home. It's only natural that mom makes your favorite food.”

Richard slowly approached.

“Please stop thinking badly about your parents. Everything was my fault. Don't leave it to others.” He said after being behind his wife.

Renatta looked at the husband from the reflection of the mirror. The man's face looked different than before, due to the fine hairs growing around his chin.

“You owe me a lot of explanation, om.” Renatta muttered, but Richard could still hear him.

“Yes, I know. I'll explain anything, honey. As long as you sit and listen. But before that, let's have lunch first. These few days, you definitely do not eat well.”

Renatta shifted his eyes. Indeed, as long as he was gone, the woman ate irregularly.

“Let's go down. Mama and papa are waiting under.” Richard persuaded his wife.

Renatta gave up. He came down for lunch. His stomach was also asking to be filled.

The dining table was awkward. However, Mama Dona still serves food for the princess.

Papa Roy and Richard join in.

Renatta did not refuse the treatment of his mother. He just kept quiet, then enjoyed his lunch without saying much.

“You want to add more?” Dona's mother asked the princess and Renatta replied by shaking his head.

“You mother I peeled the fruit after this?” Ask the middle-aged woman again.

And Renatta came back slowly.

Papa Roy who saw the princess continued to refuse, gestured for the wife to be quiet.

Mama Dona was only able to sigh slowly.

“I'm done.” Said Renatta who then got up to bring his dirty dishes to the kitchen.

“Let me talk to Rena, ma.” Said Richard who understood the uneasiness of the mother-in-law.

“You talk slowly with that girl, Rich. He's very stubborn. Papa knows him very well.” Papa Roy.

Richard went into the room, and saw the wife sitting on the balcony.

The man then approached.

“What om don't go to office?” Renatta asked as the husband took his place beside him.

“Since you left, I have rarely been to the office.” Richard replied, leaning back against the couch. The man spread his hands behind the wife's back.

Renatta glanced at the glance and then chipped.

“It turns out all this time I was fooled.” Grunt the woman.

“What do you mean?” Ask Richard.

“Don't during this time, om pretended to reject me. Yes, ‘kan?” Ask the wife.

Richard chuckles. “I deliberately rejected you.”

Renatta squinted his eyes. “So the story was just fiction?”

“Which story?” Ask Richard again.

“About om who promises to take care of me for life?”

Richard turned the corner of his lips.

“It's true, baby. You know, after Rianna was pronounced dead, you were the first person I looked for. I always held you, until a few days after Rianna was buried.” The man went back to telling me about their time.

“Every night I have a dream about that bad event. When morning comes, you are the first person I look for. I arrived at the family home Setiawan.” Said Richard while gently rubbing the wife's shoulder.

Renatta looked beside him. The husband's eyes looked empty.

“Looking at my behavior like that, papa decided to take me to a psychiatrist.”

Renatta gasped at the husband's words.

“Psychiatrist?” Convincing question.

Richard nodded slowly. “Not only me. But also Randy. She also has nightmares, and cries frequently. Papa Roy also took him to the psychiatric expert.” It was clearly Richard who was increasingly making Renatta gap in disbelief.

“Kakak too?”

“Ya.” Richard looked at his wife. And it just so happened that the woman was still looking at him.

“The three of us were at the scene, baby. It's just that you were five years old. Maybe your memory doesn't hold up to the events of the day. And I'm so grateful. Because that way, you won't have any trauma.” Richard grabbed the wife's fingers.

“Let me alone experience that trauma.” His words then kissed the back of Renatta's hand.

“Om traumatized?” Renatta still doesn't understand.

“Yes. I'm traumatized to lose. Therefore, I do not want to lose you. When things start to improve. I was declared healed, I promised your parents, in front of my parents. That I will take care of you all my life.”

Again Renatta was stunned to hear the words of the husband.

“Then why did you reject me then?” Ask the woman curious.

Richard chuckled, he grabbed the wife's head to rest on her shoulder.

“You were twelve years old then. What does the world say, if a thirty year old man is dating a minor?”

Renatta nodded in understanding. Now he finally knows the real story.
