Next day.
After thinking all night, Renatta decided to return home. It may be true that Randy said, he had to ask the reason behind the lies committed by his family.
“You sure you're going home?” Ask Bobby again.
Renatta nodded confidently. “It wasn't you yourself who told me to go home?” Ask the woman back. He was tidying up some of the items brought and bought by Bobby.
The man sighed softly. “Not so I mean. Is your heart sure to go home? I don't want you to do it because of forced.”
Renatta looked at Bobby with a very difficult look.
“Actually I don't want to go home yet. But your words have a point too. I need to find out why they lied to me. If it makes sense, I'll try to accept it. If not, I'll go again.”
“I'm sure they love you very much, Re.”
Renatta poked his lips. “If you love me, they shouldn't let me marry a murderer. By lying to me about a company experiencing financial problems.” Mumbled the woman.
“Killer?” Ask Bobby with a frown.
Renatta nodded. “The man who married me was the cause of my twin sister's death.”
“You sure?”
“I heard myself the man said so. And worse, all my family members know.” Renatta's voice rasped withstanding the cries.
Honestly Bobby doesn't know about this. During his time with Richard, he was only running errands to follow where Renatta was going.
Bobby never meddled in the personal affairs of his superiors. And today he just found out that Richard caused the death of Renatta's twin sister.
“According to you, is there maybe another reason that made them lie to me?” Ask Renatta back.
Bobby doesn't know what to answer.
“Maybe.” Said the young man carefully.
“Maybe your husband is not the real culprit. However, he was there at the time and could not save your sister. Therefore, he feels guilty.”
Renatta looked back at Bobby. The young man then put his shoulder out.
“Maybe like in soap opera, you only hear some of the words of your husband and family. So that makes you misunderstand, Re.” Bobby spoke again.
“What could it be like?” Renatta.
“Can you, ‘kan? So, it's better that you go home. Find out the truth. After that, just decide what is best for next.”
Renatta nodded in understanding.
“Good. I'll go home.” The woman got up, carrying her tote bag.
“Let me inter.” Bobby took over the bag.
Renatta refused. “I can take a taxi, Bob.”
“I'll take you.” The man forcefully pulled the bag, moving it to him.
“The distance of your home from here is quite far. It's the suburbs.” Bobby comes out of the room, forcing Renatta to follow him.
“But, Bob—
Bobby stared intently as Renatta wanted to take back his bag.
“You are so stubborn. Why would your husband want to marry a volatile girl like you?”
Renatta pursed his lips.
“What's the difficulty according? I'm just making sure if you really go home.” Say Bobby again while locking the door to his house.
He then took a helmet, and gave it to Renatta.
“Iya, yes. Why are you so chatty like this?” The woman also put a helmet on her head while snorting annoyed.
Seeing Renatta was busy, Bobby then sent a message to Richard.
‘Bos, miss home today.’
*****
Richard gasped at the message Bobby sent. His feelings become mixed. Finally, the wife wants to go home.
Richard sends some bonus money to Bobby for persuading Renatta to return.
Not to forget Richard also told the in-laws that Renatta would come home today.
“What do I look like?” The man ran into the dressing room to see how he looked.
“Ah, no. I have to look not okay. My wife ran away from home. And I didn't have time to take care of myself.” The man scratched his own hair.
He who was about to shave the fine hairs that grew around his face even, undo his intentions.
Richard went back into the room. He then contacted Dirga, to say if today would not come to the office.
The adult man then came out of his room. It's been an hour since Bobby sent the message. Maybe his wife will be here soon.
And just as Richard opened the main door of his house, Renatta came down from the top of Bobby's motorbike which stopped in front of the gate.
Richard quickly ran to his wife.
“Sayang.” The adult man pulled on Renatta's arm who was about to remove the helmet on his head.
The woman flinched. “Let me go, om.” Rebelliousness.
Richard is deaf. He then hugged the wife's body. “Where have you been? I miss you so much.” His words were full of haru.
“Om, release me.” Renatta pushes the body of the husband. He snorted annoyed. His head was heavy because he was still wearing a helmet.
“Thank you, Bob.” He said, returning the helmet to Bobby.
“Sama-sama, Re.” Bobby smiled. The young man also returned a bag containing Renatta's belongings.
“What is he an ojek builder?” Richard then reached into the pocket of his trousers to pick up the wallet, then took out a few hundred thousand bills.
“Thank you for bringing my wife home safely.” Said the grown man while blinking one of his eyes.
Bobby can only gape without understanding. But seeing the blink of the eyes of the superior, he also understood the meaning of the forty-year-old man.
“Sama-sama, sir.” He said while receiving the money.
Good for pocket money. Bobby's inner cheer.
The young man then left.
“He's not a motorcycle taxi driver, om.” Renatta said as her husband led her into the house.
“Whatever he is, I don't care. Importantly, he has brought you home safely.”
Richard was about to embrace the wife's shoulder. But the woman avoided him.
“I think, when we're not okay. So, don't expect to touch me.” Say it while away.
“Sayang.” Richard took care of his wife.
Renatta nodded slowly. His feet were about to step towards the house. However, Dona's mother's voice stopped the woman's steps.
“Rena, darling. You're finally back, son.”
Renatta stopped in place. He then turned his body.
Papa Roy, and mama Dona are walking towards him.
“It just so happens you guys came. There's something I want to ask you. And I hope, you can answer honestly without covering anything else from me.”
“Sure, darling. Whatever your question, we will answer it.” Said Dona's mother who was already in front of Renatta.
“We'd better get in first.” Richard then said.
They also entered the house.
The house assistants were happy to see the madam had returned.
“Take warm milk for my wife.” Richard's orders.
One of the house assistants nodded his head, then went to the kitchen.
“We sit down first, dear.” Richard took Renatta to the living room.
“I guess, we don't have to mince words. You better explain what I should know. Aren't there a lot of secrets you guys covered up?”
Papa Roy looked at the son-in-law. Richard nodded his head.
