The Conqueror's Journey

The Conqueror's Journey
Chapter 1 misfortune

It did not feel like he had arrived at the river. He put the fish and fishing gear on the rock and then sat down next to it.

Sometimes he looked at his house. After feeling better, treya approached the river and then he scooped the water by fusing his two hands like manganggkuk. Without thinking much, Treya drowned his face in water, the dinginya water made his face fresher then he again picked up the fish and fishing gear and then continued the journey.

He never looked for fish in the upstream river, he considered that the fish in the lower river was bigger and easier to find.

He walked slowly, feeling and making sure every stone he was on.

The upstream river has neat rocks that always decorate the river flow, the stones are very strong to grip the ground. Above it is always covered in light green moss that makes it look more beautiful.

After crossing the river, he felt sad because he could not feel the coolness of the river anymore.

He arrived at the wooden staircase leading to the hill, the stairs were slightly uphill and crooked. On its side is decorated large trees that make it fresher when riding

As he looked at her, he took a deep breath, his heart not to complain, but to prepare himself. This was a great challenge that he had to overcome, he believed that the greater the hand the greater the reward.

Treya began to climb the stairs, every step he took felt heavy, the higher he stepped the heavier it felt to step. Sweaty water began to pour out from his body soaking every inch of his skin and clothes, even though it was exhausting that he had a trick that he always wore at this time.

His mother once said, ‘if you want to achieve something do it by enjoying every step you do and forget something you want to achieve, do it, focus your attention on the step so you will easily achieve it’ that trick is what he always does, but today what he did was a little different, a little different, she imagined her mother's reaction when she got home, so she would forget what she was doing. In other words, he ignored the one in front of him with a shadow of his mother's reaction as she arrived home.

5 Minutes passed and he reached the top. A sense of victory and satisfaction approached him, once in a while he turned to look at the village below and said, “ is beautiful.” He stared at her for 10 seconds and continued on his way.

When the matari light was already on display keforeean treya had arrived in front of his house. She quickly ran in as if there were no doors blocking, “mom! mom!” The trials are looking for her mother.

At first she searched in the room but nothing, quickly she searched for it into the kitchen, “ibu!” Her screams made her mother who was cutting vegetables surprised, “it was mother when...” she said stopped when she saw her son carrying a big fish quickly she said, “how can you get it?” his mother's face was very astonished, only this time he saw such a big fish.

“Maybe I'm lucky Bu”

“You were always lucky huh?” his mother smiled and continued her work.

“Maybe, but..” replied treya who is humble considering the events of 3 years ago that befell his family.

“Not been thought of. Have you taken a shower?”

“But.” answer treya in low voice.

“Then you take a shower first yes.” Said his mother in a tone of spirit.

Treya nodded then gave the Fish he caught then rushed to take a bath.

After finishing the bath, Treya rushed to his front yard. He was sitting on a long chair facing the lower village, he was looking at the scenery of the village. The afternoon Sunlight that illuminated the left side of the valley with a beautiful as if it would be a farewell to the valley.

10 Minutes later the Sun is fully sunk but the sky is still clearly visible, no clouds decorate it just a beautiful blue color. He faintly began to hear the sounds of night bugs that seemed to welcome their day cheerfully.

Treya looked at the lantern village that looked beautiful at night. Light began to appear one by one like a beautiful pattern. Even though it only looks like a grain of yellow light from torches and lanterns, it is still beautiful.

When he looked at the light, he remembered his family being together like a full moon surrounded by beautiful stars and always complementing.

At that time they were still complete and had not moved on the hill. They live happily like a true family that never lacks.

His father spelled as a farmer, although his father always enjoyed every work process he did. Besides that his father can fight very well which makes treya wonder and ever asked his father why his father who can fight chose to be a farmer rather than an adventurer?

His father replied “adventurer must have a soul ready to kill and risk life and always ready to lose,” his father was silent for a moment and said, “father has neither, dad wants to grow affection for plants that are always innocent of his fate.”

“But dad, isn't dad's ability so useless?”

His father shook his head, “ abilities you can use to protect you and your mother.” Answer it calmly.

That conversation was the last meeting treya had with his father before he died without cause.

The next day Treya as usual opened the door of the house, how surprised when he saw his father lying just outside. His body was filled with incision wounds, blood flowed profusely with the position of grabbing something. He quickly approached her and shouted to her mother.

“What's up, what's going on?” she said when she saw her husband lying lifeless.

“I don't know Mom. When I opened the door, I saw my father like this,” he replied in tears. His mother then held his father's hand after that put it gently. His face dimmed for a moment.

Treya who saw the change in her mother's face asked, “What's wrong with Mom's dad?”

“Your father has left us.” He said sadly. Her tears did not flow, but her face looked very sad.

“Can't be Mom! This is impossible!” he cried with deep sadness.

“That's patient yes nak.” While rubbing treya's head.

“This is impossible!” he said with sadness.

It is a heavy blow felt by the family when someone suddenly leaves it. Can treya and her mother take it?

After his father died, he and his mother suffered serious bating injuries. The days which they always filled with laughter and jokes were no longer seen as in the very depths of the earth.

This morning they ate together, although they were seen eating but they seemed not to feel the incoming taste touch his tongue. The breakfast that is usually always beautiful is now only quiet, empty and dark that looks and sounds.

After they had breakfast, treya usually goes to the river preferring to stay on the porch of his house staring at the morning sunlight whereas his mother usually goes to the garden with gaiety preferring to stay in her room reading books. Despite being seen reading the book she only looked at it with empty eyes without even batting her eyes.

In his mind there was nothing like empty paper that had not been touched by ink; clean, silent and had no story to write.

Until a few days they keep doing that, which makes their home like there is no life at all.
