The Conqueror's Journey

The Conqueror's Journey
chapter 2 of the past

Treya was sitting on the porch of the house looking at the horizon which slowly began to sink. There was no look on her face, no noise, just the sun slowly sinking, she just looked at him.

For 10 minutes he looked at her, his mother sat gently beside him. “after son, it may have been fate.” Said his mother who broke the mood. Although she was soft-spoken, but in her heart she was still not sincere for the sudden and terrible departure of her husband, anyone would definitely get hurt when he saw his family members so.

As a mother who became a role model for her child she had to forget that and throw away those thoughts.

Treya did not reply, he continued to look at the sunlight,

Her mother stroked her hair gently. “after son, until when will you like this.” He said as he stroked Treya's hair.

“Do you want your mother to suffer.” Her slightly raised speech, not meant to threaten but as a mother, no one wanted to see her child suffer.

Treya slowly looked at his mother. “what mother has been sincere with the departure of father?” Soft question.

Treya's mother nodded.

“Long.” Said Treya who looked at the eyes of his mother who still harbored sadness.

“How can I forget that incident?”

“But son, if you keep this up, mom can't let it.”

“I know Mom, I don't want to be like that either, but father's departure is too painful.”

Hearing Treya's reply, her mother could feel a deep sadness. He knows that the departure of someone close is painful but if not treated it will have a big impact. “ but if you are like this, your father can be sad to see it.” Her mother said gently to calm her son. Treya's mother was already aware that if she didn't stop this, it would make her sad and sad to the point of being swallowed by the darkness.

“But Bu.” Answer treya hesitating.”

Mother treya stroked her hair. “already son, if you don't want to make your father suffer, you can still fulfill his request.”

But Ms...”

“Nothing but-buttonal, you have to classify the departure of father and consider him happy in nature there.” Cut his mother convinced him.

“Give me time Bu.” Answer treya weakly.

“Mother will always be there for you.” He said with a smile on his face.

“Mom will go cooking first, do not forget to look for fish.” His mother rushed to the kitchen.

When she heard her mother say it surprised her, the one she forgot was not to fish.

Without much thought he rushed to fish.

Day by day it continues. Treya did not tell her answer, but she was more cheerful and began to accept reality. Though bitter and a pain of loss, but he realized that the pain would plunge him into darkness and infinite voidness.

More so than he did and made his mother suffer he always preoccupied himself with all his work that made him forget his father, although it was difficult, he kept trying.

His mother, who saw his son change to be happy, had made him realize, he was now the only person he had to be happy with - his son, and promised to give everything as long as it was good for him.

...🌸🌸🌸🌸...

“Nak, son, son.” Said his mother who made the reverie of treya disappear.

“Mother.” When he said that his head was already on his mother's lap.

“What do you think?” Ask her mother gently.

“No.”

“Do not lie”

“I said..” treya stopped saying and realized that he could not hide it anymore.

“I remember the death of father.” He answered low and looked at the village.

“Why can it be so.” Her mother's hands began to gently caress her treya hair.

“Why don't we just take revenge Bu?” ask back.

Treya's mother was shocked when she heard the question of treya, she never taught like that where did treya know her from?

“Not good as it is.” Answer gently.

“not good how, the person who made the wrong should get punishment”

“how do you know if the one who killed your father was wrong?”

“that alone he killed dad of course he was wrong.” The answer is a bit high.

“not necessarily nak.”

“Not necessarily how Mom, I know dad very well and why do you doubt dad?” tanyanya.

After mengengengung answer treya mother can not argue, what her mother said there is a truth, she does not know how the youth of her father, her father, she did not know,

“what should I do Bu?”

“click it, what has happened.”

Treya did not answer. His eyes were still staring at the village below.

For a few minutes, then went to his room. The shadow of his father is still clearly visible in his head making treya a little anxious about him.

Treya sat on the edge of the bed, probably to calm down.

Treya room is not too big but enough for him who always saves space. In the south there is a not too big bookcase that is equipped with some books that he collected. On the right side of the bed there is a table for reading complete with the chair, yes it is a place that always treya use to write or read.

On the table was a piece of paper containing.

Thank you too, I was really happy when I met you, if there was any time I wanted you to go here looking around, how was life in the village.

You were my first friend.

Maybe it was a letter he hadn't sent.

Treya took a deep breath and then lay down. Before closing his eyes, he looked at the piece of paper with a gentle smile and went to sleep, until a few minutes only the sound of crickets and breathing.

In the next day, he would like to go fishing. When he was about to leave, his mother asked him to buy a lantern that he replied and then left.

Once a year they will have that tradition. When the sun is in the North, they assume that it is the most perfect place for traditional activities.

In the afternoon treya came home with fishing gear. There was no sadness or joy on his face, he told him that maybe his luck was not good.

At the location of the fishing gear in place as usual and rushed to eat. Her mother as usual had cooked at times like this. Then he ate. No other sounds adorned, until his mother asked. “have you bought a lantern?”

“Not yet Ma, I will buy it tomorrow, in the morning.” Answer while stopping the activity.

“You grab vegetables in the garden ya.”

Treya nodded understanding what his mother meant, as payment.

After the meal was over they went to sleep as usual, the quiet atmosphere made them fall asleep quickly.

To the next day treya went to visit the garden that was at the turn of his house in the North. He had to pass through the grove of Cemara trees so high. The tree is now experiencing fruit season, the fruits are ripe and ready to grow new seedlings.

Treya remembered when he was a child who always picked up the Fruits of the Fir, for him it was amazing, the brown fruit made a special impression for him, he always picked up and played it. At first he would peel it off one by one until nothing else could peel off then he threw it away and again took another.

He was not alone; with his father long ago. The father who saw his son do that just smiled a little. Kids are always curious. “Do you like him?” Ask who approached Treya.

“Yes dad, I like.” The answer was light without looking at his father.

His father sat in one of the fallen trees waiting for his son to finish.

“father has always been like you as a child.”

“arnly!” said Treya while throwing away the fir and approaching his father.

“Daddy try to tell me how dad was when he was little?”

His father laughed a little. “when my father was little, Dad always played mud in the rice fields. During the time of plowing the fields, the father and the other children will run as fast as possible through the fields full of mud.”

“wah must be very fun huh?”

Her father nodded. “ya, what a pleasure, have you ever done it?”

“No, I don't want to do it, I hate my friends.”

“Why?” ask his father wonder.

“I just hate it.”

His father smiled a little, he understood what his son felt.he knew that such an attitude was indeed common among children, but if allowed it would be a disaster.

“you can't hate them.”

“I'll still hate them.” Said affirm.

His father took a deep breath, he knew that maybe one day his son would understand what a relationship was called and how important it was.

“father hope you won't regret.”

“ya, I won't regret.” After making sure his father did not want to ask again treya decided to continue the game again.
