The Conqueror's Journey

The Conqueror's Journey
Chapter 4 A man holds a sword

And finally he got it and again the bird looked ordinary, making him wonder how could the bird be like that to a stranger, maybe he was a fool?

Treya noticed every inch of his feathers, for him this was the first time he held a bird, let alone this pigeon that if sold would be expensive. Until a while he saw a small roll at his feet, he unwittingly unrolled it and it read ‘mom I miss you.’ That alone made Treya think it was possible that her mother was around here and she returned it and put it.

A few days later again the bird landed near the treya, making the treya astonished. Does he not know where his mother is? Her thought.

He momentarily thought and realized that the letter he was reading had no address. How could? Her thought.

He approached the bird, as usual he was so faint. treya looked at the paper, yes indeed there was no sender name and recipient address, if only there was possible treya could help him, he said, but it didn't.

Treya rushed home with the bird and the paper in his hand.

At home he was confused what should he do, reply to her? Not good, give it back? Maybe the bird will get lost and come back.

Treya decided to retaliate. From then on he kept sending letters but the last letter he could not send and is now a memento.

Treya put down the piece of paper and went outside to visit his mother who was in the garden. Usually the mother will clean the garden or do something that is not profitable, for treya it is natural because there are no more things that need to be done.

“ibu!” Said Treya who saw his mother sitting on the steps looking at the hill in front of him.

“Have you bought a lantern?”

“already, but not a big one.”

“not what.”

Now Treya was sitting next to his mother and sure enough his mother did nothing useful; his mother planted flowers under the grove of fir trees, out of nowhere her mother got them, she said, for him it was a wasted effort.

“what are you astonished at?” ask her mother who saw the glare of Treya's eyes sweeping around.

“Yes, don't plants need sunlight. If mom plants like that doesn't it do a wasteful thing?”

Her mother smiled as if she knew what her son was thinking.

“No.” Treya showed an expression of wonder. “ibu just want to provide a life experience other than others, mother wants the plant to get a more challenging and difficult experience.”

“Why?”

“Because if the mother plants it in a place abundant from rain and sunlight, her life will feel boring, but if the mother plants it there, then her life will be challenging.”

Whether what his mother thought made him wonder, most people would plant it somewhere that was best for him and always take care of him, but wasn't what his mother planted a little strange!

“for sure you think that mom is weird.”

“No.”

His mother chuckles. “don't lie.” Treya showed an awkward expression after hearing her mother who knew her. “if you are already big and have someone nice to you, then you lean on her shoulder, too, make him something balanced and you will need it If it is really needed.”

“I understand, but is there any connection with what mom did?”

“already let's go.” He diverted the conversation.

Treya heard him a little disappointed, but he did not show it, for him now his mother was something most precious.

His mother walked slowly.

“if there is drizzle rain and bright sunlight maybe it is marked nature is having fun.” His faint muttering treya heard.

His mother continued to walk towards the river, treya just followed him from behind while casting his gaze to the right and left of the road. The atmosphere he felt was not much different from what he used to feel.

The gurgling sound of water faintly rang out to him which signified that they were already close from the river.

“mother isn't the water in the pool still full?” ask treya assume.

“not like that, mom wants to wash her face and hands.”

“why not in the pool?”

“The water is less clean.” His mother answered and cleaned all the dirt on his feet and hands.

The river water is so clear and shallow. The moss underneath is very clearly visible enveloping the small rocks share the way in the stacked. His mother was in the middle of him splitting the calm flowing water, even so, the water was as if to invite him to speak their own incomprehensible language.

“Ayo.” Take her mother in a soft voice.

Treya nodded.

...🌸🌸🌸🌸...

“where is the lantern?” Ask her mother who is in the living room.

“I get it.” Treya answered and went to get it.

After a few seconds left, finally treya brought back the lantern on the sidelines of both hands. “This.” His words gave up the lantern, but it seemed his mother did not want to hold him and then treya pulled him.

“Lumayan.”

“ya Ma'am, what will I do?”

“return it.”

Treya nodded.

In the evening after everything was over, Treya and her mother stood in the courtyard of the house.

In his mother's hand the lantern was already shining. They're gonna do it now. Even though they did it at home, it would not diminish its quality, as they were already at the plateau, although higher up the hill, but for them it was enough. They could have gone up the hill but, if anything was easy why was it difficult?

In the lower village there are several lanterns that fly slowly. Those who fly it are the elderly who cannot go to the hills.

The lanterns flew slowly.

The lanterns were red and white, flying slowly over the beautiful night skyline. The stars will not be outdone by him, they shine brightly even as the moon has prepared its perfect pure light. There was no cloud blocking them, it was beautiful that night.

From the valley it will look so beautiful. Complete already the lanterns from below and the stars above.

“What a beautiful.” Daniel muttered in the garden treya sendrian staring at the lanterns.

Danel had been there for a few days but he still wanted to stay there. Even though he had already found his person and that person was treya, he was waiting for it to do at the right time.

From the water will be seen the reflection of the shadow of the lantern that is getting higher and then the frog jumps nimbly making a circle in the beautiful water, and not far from it, the frog jumps nimble to make a circle in the beautiful water, some toads sing merrily like to welcome the event happily.

“See!” Said a little girl standing on the edge of the pot looking at the lanterns.

His eyes sparkled brightly. This was the first time he saw this event, for him it was one of the most beautiful experiences and it will be an unforgettable experience and was the first event he saw.

“Do you like it?” Ask her mother who holds the girl's hand tightly. He knew that standing on the edge of a cliff would be very dangerous especially with his son, a child who in unfortunately.

“Ya.”

His mother grabbed the boy and held him.

“Look!” Said his mother while pointing down.

The boy's eyes shone brightly looking at the lights of such a beautiful village.

...🌸🌸🌸🌸...

Treya and her mother held the lantern together which was red in color. Slowly they let go in prayer and hope, until a few seconds later they finish it and that is the last lantern to fly.

They did not leave, looking for a few minutes until the lantern flew high.

“What's beautiful huh?” Asked his mother while looking up at the lantern.

“Ya.” Answer treya who is still looking up.

“hopefully like this will continue.” His mother looked out into the valley.

“if mom dies, you can't be sad huh?” he continued to say that somehow, his mother said it with an ordinary expression like she already knew and only now did she say it.

Treya was surprised at what his mother said quickly he lowered his head. “no mother, you will always live to see me married until you have a grandchild.”

“Mother also hopes like that.”

His mother looked at treya who looked glum quickly she said, “don't think.” His mother said soothe and went inside.

Treya was still thinking about and asking why his mother had said that, if something had happened recently, if anything would have happened.

Treya took a deep breath, he did not want to think about it, the more thought of it the more the sadness would master it.

He decided to sit on the chair while looking at the lanterns that were moving away and shrinking.

The more he looked the more visible the lanterns were like moving stars. After the lanterns are not visible, treya enters the house.

The next day as usual They ate together. Her mother looked like usual but treya looked glum as if he was thinking of something and it was enough for her to suffer.

“What's the son?” ask her mother who realizes her son is moody.

“Eh, nothing.”

A few seconds there was no more talk between them until his mother opened the conversation. “for last night do not think, mother just joking.”

“I know Mom but, it feels like I'm really uncomfortable with that.”

“mom know, I just want to test you, but it turns out you make mom disappointed.”

“Means mother?” Treya stopped eating her and looked at her mother curiously.

His mother took a deep breath. “you are still like before, you must classify it and believe something that came there must also be something that went.” His mother continued to eat quietly.

Treya still seemed confused by her mother and did not understand what she was talking about, but she did not ask him and went back to eating.

After eating as usual treya went to the river while his mother would go to the garden.

On the edge of the waterfall, treya fishing calmly while thinking, what does her mother mean say ‘you should cycle it’

He thought for a moment and traced everything he knew from childhood to now. While thinking about it, he knew that he still remembered his father, but wasn't that natural? Remembering his father at the time and it was a heavy blow to him knowing that his father was killed until now does not know who the killer is.

Treya replaced the bait with a new one hoping the fish would eat it.

The bait he used was an earthworm he always used. The first moments of fishing he always brought anything at home but as time passed he began to gradually get fish. Ever wondered if fish get tired of eating worms? But don't fish eat worms? He decided to find out the other fish bait but until now did not know it.

“My luck may be away.” He muttered after he finished putting up the bait.

He cleaned his hands and then stayed silent.

mosquitoes will always accompany that makes it disturbed by the stings of many mosquitoes. When he first went fishing, he had small hills in some parts of his body. The hill is a mosquito bite.

“lain times blame incense.” Suggestions of his mother who saw treya like that.

At that time he always brought incense, not one, but several in case if later one incense has been used up and replaced it. He always did that until the mosquitoes no longer dared to approach him and now he is free to carry it or not.

He thought back and asked why his mother asked him that question.

Until noon he did not get the fish or break what his mother meant, and he decided to go home.

Upon arriving in front of the house, he saw some people were already lying lifeless. The fresh blood flowing scared the treya.

“Mother!” He quickly threw away his fishing rod and rushed inside. In her heart she felt an overwhelming fear, a fear of losing her mother, for her now her most important mother.

Upon arriving at the guest room he saw a person wearing a black robe holding a long sword. On the blade was blood dripping.
