Chapter 27: Practicing Magic

While still in the room, Reina sat back in her chair like before. While Touya sat on the sofa with Alicia who was next to him.

There was one thing that caught Touya's attention when he met Vritra.

“Hei, miss.”

“What's up, Touya?”

“About lethal archaic and all things related to the dragon knights of darkness. What are they all?”

“I think it was my fault for not explaining you in the first place. But, it will be a little complicated.”

“It's okay. I'll listen to it.”

“Good...”.

At that time, Reina began trying to explain to Touya about Lethal Archaic and its history.

The Lethal Archaic is a powerful weapon that is scattered throughout the world. Not just one or two, but even more than our own finger count. Every Lethal Archaic, it had power that was beyond common sense. They also have a master who is chosen or attracts their attention.

Vritra, the dragon knight of darkness. He was a dragon figure who had a powerful ability in the history of Lethal Archaic. However, in thousands of years during Vritra's lifetime. However, a demon who had just learned of his true identity in the know had no magic energy at all. Weak and useless, only able to take shelter behind a strong person.

Now, the demon has the name Asakura Touya. The first demon, the only creature chosen after thousands of years by Vritra, the dragon knight of darkness.

Reina tried to briefly explain the existence of Vritra that appeared inside Touya's body. Although he did not know the reason, but in reality Vritra chose Touya as his master.

“For thousands of years... no creature selected by Vritra?”

Reina shook her head.

“There is absolutely nothing. You were the first one chosen by him.”

“But, why me?”

Yeah, why Touya?

Everyone would be confused to find out that Touya was chosen by Vritra. How could a demon who didn't even know its own origin, and didn't have any magic energy be chosen by the dark dragon knight?

“I also don't know the reason. Who knows the reason it is only Vritra, the dragon of darkness himself,” said Reina

The atmosphere of the room was silent for a moment. The confused Touya continued to wonder in his own mind.

Suddenly, a familiar voice from Vritra appeared and was heard again.

“Do not think too heavy, Asakura Touya.”

The voice was not heard through Touya's mind alone. However, his voice sounded like he was talking and was inside the room. Even Reina and Alicia themselves had heard of it as well.

“Su-voice it-!” reina muttered

“Knight of the dragon of darkness?!” keep up Alicia

“Vritra?! Where are you?!” touya

“Below here.”

Vritra's reply made Touya look down. Right at the back of his left hand, Touya had a black aura that radiated strongly. The magic and aura are so distinctive and powerful that it can be easily recognized that Vritra came into being.

“You... being black smoke?” ask Touya

“Yes. This is the easiest form I can take to speak directly to the outside world. My magic gathered in a gauntlet that fused with your left arm. So the part most centered by my current magic is this left arm of yours,” explained Vritra

When the two of them were talking, Vritra's attention shifted to Reina who was one in the room.

“Ah, daughter of demon king Zephkiel Alloces. Reina Alloces's. This is the first time we met ya,” said Vritra

“Knight of the dragon of darkness, Vritra. It is an honor for me to be able to talk to you,” muttered Reina

“Huh, a demon king's daughter says honorable. Somewhat cliche to hear it,” said Vritra

“You are known as a selfish dragon who has never had a master for thousands of years. And after that long life, you chose Touya as your first master. May I ask why?” ask Reina

“My answer is only if I am interested in this boy. Why, are you not satisfied with my answer?” sahut Vritra's

“Same as no. It's just, a little curious,” said Reina

Their short conversation stopped there. Vritra spoke back to Touya who was always listening.

“Hei, Asakura Touya.”

“A-what's up?”

“Ya!”

Touya's excited reply made everyone in the room feel it. And Vritra himself….

“Good. I'm waiting for the development you've given me. Don't disappoint me!”

Wush…!!

The black smoke that surrounded Touya's arm, disappeared slowly leaving no trace. Vritra's body in the form of smoke was followed by his voice and presence that disappeared completely.

True to what he said, Touya said to Reina.

“Nona...”.

“What's up?”

“I... want to start my magic practice!”

A big smile on his face. Fists and strong determination were implied clearly from the look in his eyes. That feeling flowed directly into Reina and made her understand Touya more deeply.

“Alicia!”

“Ya, miss.”

“Deliver Touya training to you.”

With Reina's orders having told Alicia to train Touya, the two of them went outside the club room. Just behind the club building, there is a large forest from the school.

Both are not far in front of the forest. Alicia who was standing before Touya was trying to train him about magic energy.

His body position is fixed. Touya opened his left palm and tried to concentrate all the magic energy onto his palm.

Almost a few minutes passed and there was no progress at all. Even Touya himself was sweating because he was too trying to concentrate and did not produce anything.

Alicia who saw an oddity stopped him first.

“Try stopping first,” said Alicia

Alicia walked slowly towards Touya. He held her arm and tried to examine her from all sides.
