Ch.16 - Training
"Senior Li Tian, I have to meet the Elder first. I will report to them at once asking for permission to receive you in our sect. Sorry, before getting permission from the Elder, I couldn't bring you in."
"Oh, it doesn't matter." Li Tian nodded.
"Hu Ken, accompany Senior Li Tian here!"
"Good Senior Ming!" Hu Ken nodded obediently.
Qing Ming hurried off to meet his Elders, asking for approval by joining Li Tian.
"Senior Li Tian, are you a sword cultivator?" Hu Ken asked.
"Yes of course. Do you want to teach me sword techniques?" Li Tian raised his eyebrows.
"Are seniors willing to teach us?" Hu Ken's eyes seemed to shine with enthusiasm, as well as the others.
"It doesn't matter, after all I'm at ease and waiting for Qing Ming to return." Li Tian took out his sword. "You can move forward, I want to see your abilities before giving you direction."
"Good senior!" Hu Ken instantly pulled out his sword, as did his comrades.
Immediately after, the five of them darted out to attack Li Tian simultaneously. They surrounded Li Tian while launching regular attacks and good cooperation.
They were indeed fast, yet still they were Nescent Soul level cultivators while Li Tian was at the peak of the Nirwana level. So he could see all their movements very slowly.
So he could casually fend off and dodge all of their attacks without any significant difficulty.
Li Tian saw how they attacked as well as the techniques they used.
"They're pretty good at cooperation, but every combination of their attacks is very easy to guess. If they were to fight with cultivators with high skills then it would be very easy to face them." Li Tian muttered inwardly. "Let's give them a little pressure first."
Li Tian smiled faintly before starting to counterattack. In a moment, Li Tian made their cooperation start to disorganize.
Hu Ken and Qiu Li attacked Li Tian from two opposite directions by shaking the sword.
Xiang Fan only needed to shift slightly to dodge the attack until Hu Ken and Qiu Li's sword slashes clashed.
From the back side, Liu Xing attacked. But Li Tian immediately turned around to launch a slash until Liu Xing was forced to take a defensive position.
*TRANG!
Hu Ken raised his sword, streams of lightning enveloping his body. As he slashed out the sword, a wave of lightning like a tsunami wave came out.
Li Tian only concentrated a little bit of Yin-Yang energy on the tip of his sword then he aimed forward. The moment the lightning wave touched the tip of Li Tian's sword, the lightning wave instantly split into grains of energy that disappeared in the air.
"What's? What was that?" Hu Ken was surprised how his strongest attack simply disappeared.
"Why did you stop? Let's attack me again!" Li Tian did not wait for them to attack, he was the one who attacked first.
"Hu Ken, with the lightning element that you're good at, you're better suited in movement speed and agility, but you're instead stressing on the power of a slash. Try to focus energy on your ankle to speed up every step you take!" Li Tian began to give directions to Hu Ken and his comrades.
"Qiu Li, you're a wind element user, you're focusing instead on the speed of movement. Your wind element is also in use too conspicuously!..
Try to be more relaxed and your level of agility, the potential of the wind element lies in the power of the slash so there is no need for you to continue to focus on the power of slashing because the wind element is naturally strong in that. So try to speed up your attacks so you can spend more slashes!"
All the instructions Li Tian gave were directly put into practice by Hu Ken and his group. They can feel the change in themselves. Each time they move and attack becomes more comfortable.
It's just that because they are not used to the changes in each movement make their stamina drain faster.
"Alright, you guys seem to be getting used to it. We'll stop the training for a while."
Hu Ken and the others instantly laid their bodies on the ground. Their breathing was disordered from facing Li Tian.
"Senior Li Tian, you're so amazing, I can quickly overcome the weirdness in all my training in an instant." Hu Ken got up after his breathing started to get regular.
"With the existence of senior Li Tian in our sect, we can definitely restore the sect to its peak and destroy those bastards!" Qiu Li said excitedly.
"Not to think about it." Li Tian shook his head slowly. "Diamonds feel better now, right? So let's move forward. Next I will refine your combination of attacks and cooperation to be more aligned."
"Good senior!"
Hu Ken and the others instantly stood up, taking out their respective weapons before moving to attack Li Tian.
Their combination of attack and cooperation becomes worse as they resort to new moves which they are not yet accustomed to.
But because they have often trained together, they can more quickly achieve harmony. Of course it all did not escape the direction given by Li Tian. They were all able to sense the change from just a few hours of practice with Li Tian.
Those few hours of exercise achieved much better results than their many years of training. It made them admire Li Tian even more.
