Ch.20 - Besieging the Enemy
Li Tian brought his troops to ambush the enemy troops who had been lured out of their lair.
The Ancient Dinasty Army that numbered several hundred people scattered out to look for the whereabouts of people who had attacked the city they were guarding.
Unfortunately they did not realize that it was all just a trap to lure them out until the Ancient Dinasty army could be massacred without having to involve innocent people within the city.
Currently, Jiang Wu who was in charge of fishing the enemy forces was already surrounded from all directions.
"Hahaha, a stray mouse from the Dragon Altar Sect. Those of you who are always in hiding eventually show up but in the end will only become lumps of meat that are eaten by insects." Yu Hai who was the leader of the Ancient Dinasty army in the city laughed at Jiang Wu.
"Is that so? I think you're the one who's gonna be the meat that insects eat." Jiang Wu still remained calm.
"Hm, death is before your eyes only you can still be arrogant!" Yu Hai gave the code with his hands. "Capture him for our interrogation, we can get the hideout of the Dragon Altar Sect later."
The subordinates of Yu Hai immediately shot towards Jiang Wu.
"Heheh, it's a pity that my help has come."
Li Tian's figure appeared beside Jiang Wu, performing a single twisting slash forming a perfect round, issuing a wave of ring-shaped slashes that widened, slashing out all the affordable enemies.
"Jiang Wu's good work, you've already managed to lure them."
"You.." Yu Hai and the others were shocked to see Li Tian's whereabouts. "A Nirvana level cultivator. Gawat, we can't deal with it, run fast!"
Yu Hai who was the strongest cultivator among them was only at the Transcendent level so there was no way they could face Li Tian who was a Nirwana level even with their large numbers.
The moment the Ancient Dinasty army turned around, intending to escape, they were speechless to see so many cultivators besieging them. Looking from his robe, it was obvious that the troops were from the Dragon Altar Sect.
They are completely surrounded. Now there is no way for them to escape.
"Senior Yu, what should we do? Their numbers were more, besides that there were Nirvana level cultivators on their side."
"Do we have to fight them or give up?"
The subordinates of Yu Hai started to panic.
"Rush up? You think they're gonna let us live by giving up? If we're already confirmed dead, at least we're down as many enemies as possible to come with us!" Yu Hai tried to raise the morale of his troops, he took out weapons, prepared for a fight.
"I see, you can vent your anger as you please." Li Tian only smiled faintly as he shook his head slowly, he understood what Jiang Wu was thinking.
"Thank you Senior Li Tian has given us a chance." Jiang Wu cupped his hands. "All right! Attack!"
Jiang Wu's shout signifies that the war has begun. The Dragon Altar Sect troops instantly took out their respective weapons then moved to attack the enemy forces. The same thing was done by the Ancient Dinasty army.
A big fight is going on. While everyone was fighting, Li Tian simply stayed on the spot, watching their fight leisurely.
But that doesn't mean he didn't do anything. He continued to watch the fight closely, if any of his troops were to be hit by a fatal attack, Li Tian would let out a thin wave of energy to protect his troops.
As for an attack that had little potential to kill, Li Tian let it go. This is to increase the fighting passion of his troops for revenge.
Jiang Wu himself was only facing Yu Hai. He deliberately took his enemy quite far away from the man because he had a personal affair with him.
Jiang Wu had a younger brother who was killed by Yu Hai. He remembered the times when his sister was killed late in front of his eyes a few years ago.
It was actually Jiang Wu who suggested attacking this city first because he knew that Yu Hai was on duty here. So he can instantly avenge her.
The battle between the two was fierce but it was clear that Jiang Wu was more domineering.
Every attack Yu Hai could have Jiang Wu resisted or he was agile. While on the contrary, Yu Hai always had trouble holding back Jiang Wu's attacks that were filled with anger and resentment.
On one occasion, Jiang Wu managed to slash at Yu Hai's shoulders until the entirety of his right arm was torn off.
"Aadrrkkk!" Yu Hai shouted in pain.
Without wasting any time, Jiang Wu stuffed his sword eyes into Yu Hai's wide-open mouth, making him fall to the ground.
"You used this way before to kill my sister, so I'll make you feel it too. But I'll make sure you feel something even more awful." As if Jiang Wu's psychopathic soul rose up, he created a sword again with Qi energy then slashed at one of Yu Hai's arms.
Jiang Wu stepped on Yu Hai's head so as not to move so it was just his body that was revolting in pain. If he let Yu's head move then the sword inside his mouth would tear his throat, allowing him to die faster.
Jiang Wu's grudge would not be satisfied if it only slashed both of Yu Hai's arms.
"Just calm down, this is just the beginning."
