Ch.17 - Approval
"Qing Ming, what about your mission? Is there any new information you've got?" asked a middle-aged man named Fang Mu, the Sect Chief of the Dragon Altar.
After returning to the Sect with Li Tian, Qing Ming went to the Main Hall to meet the Sect's higher-ups, report the information he could as well as ask for permission to join Li Tian.
"Chairman, I'm getting some very important new information. Previously I managed to infiltrate among their forces then discovered that the Red Crow Sect, White Shadow Sect and Ancient Dinasty were working together to gather all the formation experts in this Dongwan Mainland!..
I continued to search for information regarding the reason they gathered the formation experts for several days and finally learned that they wanted to open the gate to the Beast Continent."
"What?!" Fang Mu and the Elders who were in the Main Hall were shocked to hear the report.
"Are they crazy really wanting to open that portal?!" Fang Mu looked so emotional.
Beast Continent, it was indeed as the name suggested was the residence of the Spirit Beasts. But the Spirit Beasts there were something different, they were extremely ferocious and aggressive but had the same sense as humans. Unlike Spirit Beasts in general who were like ordinary ferocious beasts, moving based on instinct.
There used to be a large portal connecting the Dongwan Continent with the Beast Continent. Those Spirit Beasts were coming in ferociously making cultivators overwhelmed because of their sheer numbers.
Moreover, Spirit Beasts were stronger than cultivators of the same level because they had incredible strength and endurance.
But luckily after a long struggle, the cultivators managed to repel the Spirit Beasts and seal the portal.
It was no longer known what had happened to the Beast Continent after tens of thousands of years. Whether they become stronger than before or perhaps they become weaker.
But to be sure, opening that portal back would be very risky. If those Spirit Beasts came back and it turned out that they had already evolved to become stronger then it would be a new disaster for the Dongwan Continent.
That was what made Fang Mu and the Elders of the Dragon Altar Sect so emotional hearing Wing Ming's report regarding the plans of the three organizations.
"Chairman, this cannot be allowed, we must stop them before we go any further!" said an Elder firmly.
"I know but for now.." Fang Mu sighed. "You know for yourself that our strength has now decreased considerably. Even now we have to hide to avoid their pursuit. It sucks but we have to admit it!..
But that doesn't mean we'll keep quiet! We definitely have to do something to stop them from making even bigger messes!"
"Chairman's right! They've been too late! This time they can't be let out!"
The Elders voiced their agreement with Fang Mu.
"Oh then go on."
"Actually as I fled to return to the headquarters, the members of the Red Crow Sect who were at the Nirwana level chased after me. I had a chance to fight and get injured, I tried to escape from their pursuit to accidentally meet a young man named Li Tian!..
He helped me face and kill all the members of that Red Crow Sect. We got acquainted and he wanted to join our Sect."
Fang Mu and the Elders fell silent for a moment.
"Have you confirmed his identity is not from the Red Crow Sect or anything else?" Fang Mu was worried that Li Tian was an envoy from the enemy who was deliberately infiltrated into the Dragon Altar Sect.
"I'm sure he's not from an enemy sect because he killed all the Nirvana level cultivators chasing me. It was impossible for him to kill a part of the Red Crow Sect members if he was part of them. Moreover, he said he was from Xuanwu Mainland, not from this Dongwu Continent!..
Senior Li Tian has already saved my life, Chief. He is also very strong so it would be a great help if he joined our sect." Qing Ming tried to persuade his top brass to accept Li Tian.
Fang Mu discussed with the Elders until they got a deal.
"Alright but I want to see this Li Tian in person first."
"Well Chairman, he's out now, I'll drop you off." Qing Ming became enthusiastic, and he brought Fang Mu to meet Li Tian.
Upon arrival outside, Qing Ming and Fang Mu stopped when they saw how Li Tian was training Hu Ken and the others.
They could see that Hu Ken and his comrades' fighting styles had already changed, their cooperation and attack combinations were also very different from usual. Obviously they have made progress.
But this had even just passed 1 hour, how could their development be so rapid?
"Qing Ming, is that young man named Li Tian?" ask Fang Mu.
"True Chairman, he is Senior Li Tian. He could train Hu Ken to develop rapidly in a short time, he was indeed extraordinary."
"It seems that Li Tian indeed has an unusual ability, it would be great if he joined." Fang Mu muttered inwardly.
