Chequek!
The door leaf of a nursery opened, Damar and Wulan rushed into the room, found the figure of the woman they helped was conscious and was sitting leaning on the headboard of the bed accompanied by a nurse.
"I'll excuse you" said the nurse.
"Thank you Sus." said Damar.
The nurse simply nodded then hurried away leaving them inside the nursery. After the sisters came out, Damar and Wulan threw eyes at each other after seeing the smile of the foreign woman they helped. The foreign woman smiled at them. Yeah, of course you are. If not towards them, to whom else would the woman throw her sweet smile.
Damar and Wulan stepped slowly, approaching the bed of the foreign woman who was still smiling sweetly.
"Aunty is okay?" ask Damar.
"Thank you yes. You have helped me." replied the woman, seeing both.
"Where does Auntie know?" ask Damar.
"Suster said that I was brought by two Junior High School children here and you found me collapsed on the side of the road. Right, right?" brighten the woman with a painted smile.
Damar and Wulan looked at each other before they nodded at the same time, poking at a smile despite how awkward it felt, talking to a stranger.
"My name is Rumi. Your names?" the woman asked, looking at Damar-Wulan in turn.
"I'm Damar. And this is my sister, Wulan." replied Damar, introducing the younger brother.
"Wulan Room! The name of a legendary figure of folklore on the island of Java. I've also heard of lovers with that name. But now, I met directly with a pair of brothers whose name is Damar Wulan." explained the woman named Rumi.
Damar and Wulan gave a faint chuckle, looking at Rumi who had improved his condition and also giggled.
"It's nice to meet you guys" Rumi said.
"It's nice to also meet with Auntie" Damar said, greeted by a nod of Wulan.
"If not for you, maybe now I have become a corpse and ready to be buried" said Rumi, giggling softly.
"Don't talk like that, Auntie. It just so happened that Wulan and I just went home from school. And while we were walking, suddenly we saw Auntie across the street." Damar said, telling Rumi the chronology.
"Yes, my head was heavy. Since yesterday I was trying to find my brother's address in Jakarta, but I have not found the address." said Rumi, suddenly sad.
"Indeed Aunt Rumi doesn't have her sister's address?" asked Damar, seemingly wanting to know a lot about who the foreign woman named Rumi was.
"I have, Damar. But only his workplace address and that address was on the street. The path where I passed out and you guys found me." replied Rumi.
Damar and Wulan looked at each other again, both shuddering at the same time after hearing Rumi's story.
"Indeed the name of her sister's workplace Aunt Rumi what if I and Wulan know?" ask Damar, intending to help because it does not have the heart.
"SMP Jaya Mandiri's. My sister works there. Do you know where the school is?" rumi answered, asking Damar Wulan.
"What a coincidence! We went to school there, Auntie. If you may know, whose name is Aunt Rumi? And what kind of teacher is there? Who knows we know and we can help Aunt Rumi" Damar said.
"My brother is not a teacher. He worked as a personal assistant to someone at that famous school. Her name's..."
Drrrrt!
Rumi jumped, hearing the sound of her cellphone on the nightstand vibrating. Meanwhile, Damar-Wulan's eyes were also directed toward Rumi's mobile phone that shook.
"So soon, Damar, Wulan. I'll take the phone for a minute."
Damar's curiosity was forced to be undone, finding Rumi's cellphone suddenly vibrating when she was eager to know the name of the older sister who was lying on top of the hospital bed at this time. Damar nodded faintly, giving Rumi the freedom to pick up the phone out of nowhere. Damar turned his head, looking at the sister who was nodding along.
I don't know why his feelings are getting so bad. There was anxiety, fear and uneasiness that had enveloped his heart until this very second. Feeling something that he was unable to describe with a sentence after hearing the story of the foreign woman before him.
Damar felt something stirring his heart. But Wulan who can catch the signal from the twin mas also tried to calm him, reaching for the sturdy hand to hold, calming him even though difficult. While Rumi looks fun talking on the phone with someone behind the phone.
"I'm sorry, I'm ignoring you guys" said Rumi, who had finished picking up the phone.
"It's okay, Auntie. We understand." said Damar, smiling and trying to be friendly.
Rumi smiled proudly, looking at a child of Damar-Wulan's age who had a helping soul, different from other children their age in this era. Rumi's hand stretched out, putting her phone back on the nightstand.
"Thank God, finally my brother called me too after a few days he had no news. Now he's here after I tell him I'm in the hospital. You guys don't go home until my brother comes. I will introduce the handsome and beautiful angel who is in front of this to my sister." said Rumi, looking sparkling happy.
"But it looks like me and Wulan should..."
"Just a second. He won't take long." cut Rumi, make Damar more and more riled.
Damar could only nod, smiling knots yet thin from being forced. While Wulan who saw the anxiety on the face of the twin mas, was astonished. Because, since meeting Rumi in a state of fainting, Damar has shown a strange attitude in front of him. But Wulan tried to remain calm. If he is agitated, then Damar will also be more agitated.
"Lady... Can I ask you something?" timpal Rumi, looking towards Wulan at Damar's side.
"What Aunt?" ask Damar, astonished.
"Since then I have not heard Wulan speak. Only you answered and responded to me. As for Wulan, she just nodded. Your sister's fine, isn't she?" said Rumi, looking at Wulan with a peeking look wanted to know.
Damar jerked. Actually it was common for him to face questions like this related to the younger brother who could not speak and hear without an implant tool, but because it had been a long time no one had asked him that question, made him momentarily silent. Then turned to look towards the sister who nodded faintly in agreement, stroking her arm.
"My sister can't talk, Auntie."
Rumi was stunned, turning to Wulan who had given a sweet smile towards her since, understanding Damar's reply which sounded very heavy, making Rumi feel guilty.
"-you mean? Speech tuna wulan?"
"Strong-talking tuna, Aunt."
"I'm sorry, I don't know, Damar."
"It's okay, Auntie."
Kruyuk!
Kruyuk!
Damar turned to the source of the voice coming from beside him. Wulan gave a smile, pressed her stomach that had been holding her hunger since earlier while looking at the twin mas.
"Hungry grandfather? Why didn't you say?"
Wulan just smiled broadly, embarrassed to say the words of the mas in front of Rumi who seemed to be holding back laughter. While Damar sighed harshly, cursing himself for being insensitive to the circumstances of his sister. Though the clockwork has occupied its position above the peak of time, indicating that lunch time has arrived and must be implemented immediately.
"The adek here first yes. I'm going to the hospital cafeteria first, and I'm buying Adek lunch."
Wulan nodded, pointing both thumbs of his hands at Damar who stroked his head. While Rumi who saw the friendly scene among the sister brother could only smile bitterly, making him remember the brother.
"I'll take Wulan for a second, Aunt."
"Yes, Damar. You just calm down. I'll take care of Wulan like I'm looking after the child myself."
"Thank you Auntie."
Rumi nodded. Damar left Rumi and Wulan in the room.
"You're often called adek yes with Damar? The same! Me too." asked Rumi, trying to shake off the awkwardness.
"Any time, Auntie. That's the call dear Mas Damar and my other brother, every time they call me." said Wulan, of course with sign language because he had not brought the note for a long time.
"So Damar's not your only brother?" said Rumi, understand the Wulan language.
"Mas Damar is my twin brother, while the other is my cousin's sister. I am all male and only I am female. But wait, Aunt understands my language?" wulan replied before a moment when she realized that Rumi could understand the language.
"Yes, pretty. Not only do I understand, but I understand because I teach this language in my hometown. Not only in the city, in my village there are also many children like you. So I started teaching and training kids like you for free there. Yes, count for practice in the afterlife." said Rumi, looks sparkling.
Wulan clucked in awe, hearing Rumi's amazing story for an adult woman her age. Mature age for a woman like her, who should already have a family and live happily. But an unlucky fate sided with him, forced to undergo the powerful spin of time left in the destiny of life, suffering from a deadly disease that others could not confirm whether he would be cured or not. Makes Wulan remember the onty.
"Wulan... Why daydream?" said Rumi.
"No, Aunt. Looking at Aunt Rumi, I became reminded of my late onty. He's my papi's twin sister. If he is still alive, maybe his age is the same as Aunt's." replied Wulan, smiling sweetly at Rumi.
"I'm sorry, I don't know. I am often surprised when I hear your story. There are too many surprises in your life, Wulan." said Rumi, wiping Wulan's hand on the side of her bed.
"It's okay, Auntie." replied Wulan.
"If I may know, late onty what did you die of?" ask Rumi.
"Because of blood cancer, Auntie. Twenty years onty I've died. And not even this one month, her husband also left, following Onty due to cancer as well." said Wulan, with his flagship language.
Rumi's original smile disappeared from nowhere when she saw the sign language of the little girl beside her. Making his mind drift instantaneously, thinking of a self fate that was almost the same as his late onty Wulan. A blood cancer that made him die, leaving the world and loved ones behind.
"Aaaaa. aaaa.." said Wulan.
"Ah yes, sorry Wulan. I became dreamy." said Rumi who realized from his daydream.
"Auntie's okay?" ask Wulan.
"I'm fine. Your story just scared me for a moment. I was afraid that I would also end up like your onty, but I had to remain optimistic to heal and I should not give up so easily. Yeah, isn't Lan?" rumi replied, understanding Wulan's gesture.
Wulan nodded quickly while giving her two thumbs up. Rumi's words in the initial sentence had made him feel guilty, but Rumi showed back his spirit to recover from the deadly disease, not wanting to give up until the point of the final blood, making him sigh in relief.
Chequek!
The door leaf opened violently, revealing the figure of a well-built man pouring into Rumi's nursery. Making Rumi surprised but his smile flashed for a moment, seeing the figure of the man he had been waiting for since and there was no news of the past few days on the pretext of being busy and being outside the city. The man ran over, approaching the smiling Rumi.
"Rumi... Why are you? Why could it be here? Why are you in Jakarta? Why didn't you call Brother?"
Rumi gave a faint chuckle, looking at the older brother who was showering himself with four questions at once. While the sturdy man looked frowned, grunting amusedly with the attitude of the sister despite their age was not young.
"I'm fine, brother. I just fainted from exhaustion and I came to Jakarta to look for Brother for sure." said Rumi, calming the brother.
"Are you sure you're okay?" ask the man.
"Yes, Brother. I'm fine." replied Rumi.
The man heaved a sigh of relief, his head that felt heavy as a result of hearing the news of the brother entering the hospital was now downcast. Not yet aware of the presence of a little girl across the bed the sister who looks sculpted since earlier.
Wulan swallowed her saliva strongly. Since the door leaf opened strongly, Wulan's eyes were perfectly rounded. Capturing the figure of a very familiar man in memory, made him sculpt in an instant.
"Sister.introduce this Wulan. He and his brother helped me. They took me to this hospital. They're very nice, aren't they?" said Rumi, grabbing the shoulder of the brother who is still down and trying to control the breath.
"Ah yes, because of the rush to come here to see you, Big Brother has forgotten that there is someone else here. Thanks for you sud..."
The sturdy man's words that had originally looked towards Rumi were instantly cut short as his eyes fell on the little girl across from the sister's bed. The man's lips clenched tightly for a moment, finding the figure of the little girl who was sculpting with cold sweat on her face.
"Guaranto...!"
