The Destiny of the Undone

The Destiny of the Undone
chapter 9

It's near noon. Jisoo was accompanying her 'children' on the terrace while watching Jiwon and the others play football. Junkyu did not want to let go of his grasp from Jisoo, it made him anxious. His smile has not faded since.

"Jisoo-ya, that kid can occupy the room in front of you. I'll talk to Eommoni." Jiwon.

Junkyu looked at Jiwon in fear then looked at Jisoo while shaking his head.

"No need, Jiwon-a. He can sleep in my room." Reply Jisoo understandingly.

Jiwon could only breathe out a long breath. He knows Jisoo likes little children but still Junkyu is a stranger. The origin of the child is also still very vague and unclear.

"Junkyu-ya, meet uncle Jiwon. He's Eomma's cousin." It was obviously Junkyu.

"Eo-eomma?" Jiwon Mumbled.

"It's okay. He's not evil. Give him my regards." Jisoo's orders. Junkyu stood up slowly, bent his body ninety degrees and introduced himself.

"Hello uncle, my name is Kim Junkyu."

"Yes Junkyu-ya. Aigoo.. You're so sweet. Do you want to play?" Ask Jiwon kindly.

"If you want to play, it's okay. Uncle Jiwon will accompany you. Eomma will be waiting here." Jisoo tries to convince Junkyu that he will come to play. He knew very well if Junkyu wanted to play but was timid to try.

Junkyu nodded in agreement and was taken by his new uncle to come to the field. Jisoo didn't move. He stays there and sees Junkyu playing with his uncles. He's happy to see it.

"He looks so sweet." Someone said suddenly. That's Kyuhyung Abeoji.

"I was amazed by his mother who was so heartless to throw away such a sweet child." Further.

"Sometimes the world is cruel. I should have been more grateful for being wanted by my family." Jisoo's reply sounded sliced.

"Don't blame yourself. Your decision is the best. No one has the right to stand in your way to get what you want." Said Kyu Hyung taking a seat beside Jisoo.

"Yunhyeong told me that Junkyu called you both Eomma and Appa. Looks like that kid really never wanted to lose a parent."

"He was so innocent, that I could not bear to reject the call. I don't want her childhood to be ruined just because she doesn't get affection." Jisoo. She feels like a real Junkyu birth mother.

"Do something to relieve the trauma to the person. I'm sure he's like this because of his biological parents. Give her the understanding that at least she'll be comfortable here."

"Well, Abeoji. I'll try."

"Now help Yunhyeong. He's cleaning the stables by himself."

"Well, Abeoji." Jisoo.

"Eomim! I'm happy to play." Shouted Junkyu who had now approached Jisoo.

"Smart kid.. Play again with your uncles. Eomma will help Appa in the back."

"I understand, Eomma." Reply before returning to the field.

Jisoo smiled seeing her son excited before finally going towards the 'Appa' of Junkyu.

_______

There was clearly the sound of someone sweeping in, right from the direction of the stables. Jisoo saw the man painstakingly cleaning up the dirt there.

"Junkyu what are you doing?" Ask without stopping the activity.

"When playing with the others."

"Get straw in the back barn. Little by little to not be too heavy."

Jisoo works according to what Yunhyeong ordered. He went to the barn, took if one straw hug and carried it to the stable. He repeated it three times and now his body felt an itch. He scratched his neck and hands and now his skin looks flushed.

"Haish! Why is it so itchy?" Jisoo muttered as she continued to scratch the itchy part of her body. Jisoo did not realize that Yunhyeong was watching her while holding back a laugh. It's funny to see Jisoo like a child who hives after going to play in the fields.

Either out of pity or how, Yunhyeong approached Jisoo and gave him a bucket of clean water to clean his body.

"This. Cleanse body. The dust on that hay must make you itch."

Jisoo took the water in the bucket and rinsed her hands and neck. While diving drinking water, he also washed his face because as he remembered, he had not bathed since this morning.

"Fresh awakening! Thank you." Thank you." Jisoo said.

"It's done. You can come back. Thank you Jisoo-ya."

"really? Is there no other job? I really want to help." Jisoo pleads.

"Maybe you can bathe Junkyu. I'm gonna find my old clothes that the kid can wear."

"All right." Reply Jisoo sumringah. For him, if it was related to Junkyu, he would be so excited. Yunhyeong who witnessed how happy Jisoo could only laugh so loosely. The laughter he had almost never let out in his entire life.

"Junkyu-ya, let's take a shower. Aigoo.. Look at your body, it's so dirty!" Call Jisoo. Junkyu.

"Junkyu won't take a bath, Eomma. Junkyu still wants to play." Said.

"Later after the bath, you can play again with your uncles. Come on!" Bring it once more. This time the boy nodded.

Jisoo put down the toiletries and took off Junkyu's clothes. There he was transfixed to see the wound that filled the child's body. There are so many scars like minor burns, incision marks, even lash marks.

God, what they did to you, son.. Inner Jisoo.

She wanted to cry but it was impossible. Not in front of this kid. This kid still doesn't understand anything. Jisoo tried to distract her by immediately bathing the boy she thought was her son so that he could quickly cover the body full of scars.

"Eomma never bathed me. He was always angry if I asked him to bathe me, so Appa bathed me." Junkyu.

"Now your Eomma is no longer here. There are only Eomma, Appa, Haraboji and Halmoni, and uncles who love you. If you need anything, just say it." Jisoo was obviously in her foster child. Junkyu smilingly nodded and continued playing the water.

Yunhyeong suddenly entered with a set of clothes that Junkyu was about to wear. The same reaction was shown by Yunhyeong when he saw Junkyu's body. It was just that before speaking up, Jisoo gave her a code not to say anything in front of Junkyu. Yunhyeong understood and approached Junkyu with a smile.

"Fresh?"

"Yes, Appa!"

"Yes, change your clothes now so you don't get cold. Appa will help you."

Yunhyeong acted very painstakingly. He was like a father who had two children. So patient and attentive. It doesn't look like a twenty-seven-year-old man in general.
