Chapter 48 [Facing The Lich]
< Lich >
A mere creature of skeletal stature, the Lich is a powerful sorcerer skilled in necromancy who seeks eternal life using a rare substance in magical rituals to become an undead. Unlike regular skeletons and Undead, who are often described as mindless, the lich retains their previous intelligence and magical abilities.
"Isn't the difference in the level of the 24th and 25th floor boss too wide!!? On the 24th floor, the boss is level 200s. But why did the 25th floor instantly rise to 300 more?!!"
Aqua started to panic and thought of hundreds of plans in order to survive the Lich.
"Damn! Because we're too exhausted, fighting Lich and coming back alive would be difficult."
⟨ Low-down people! This king asked you, why did you enter my territory? ⟩
Turquoise was silent speechless. He was too afraid to talk. Aqua turned to her other comrades, it seemed like their circumstances were the same.
Aqua let out a cold sweat.
"O Lord, King! We don't intend to break through your territory. We just want to get down to the next floor or just get out of here if we're allowed."
Lich looked at Aqua coldly. Lich doesn't have an eyeball, just some kind of light in her eye hole. But the light was as if the eyes were staring at them.
⟨ Do you think I would let an intruder like you guys just like that?! ⟩
Lich's tone of voice sounded somewhat angry.
"Yes of course. If we can, we've left before" Aqua thought.
⟨ But since I am generous and you have been polite, I will give you guys a quote of ⟩
"Offers? Please tell this lowly offer to us, Your Majesty."
Aqua tried to duck as low as possible and spoke as decently as possible. If he were to be impudent here, it would be very dangerous.
⟨ I like a kid who knows yourself like you. So I'll offer you to join my army. Hows it? ⟩
"Join his army? No kidding!!!! Becoming a Lich army was tantamount to dying and becoming an undead!!!"
Aqua swallowed her saliva.
"What if we refuse?"
⟨ Brash! Refusing my precious offer is tantamount to asking to die!! ⟩
"Hahaha, whatever his choice, death remains the end. Then it's better to die than to be an Undead!!"
"It seems like there's nothing more to talk about. Everybody!!! Back to formation!!!!" squeals Aqua.
The four colleagues were shocked. They woke up from their fear and instantly entered in an attacking formation.
⟨ Very unfortunate. I don't want to kill a talented kid like you. But you asked for it! ⟩
Lich held up her magic wand high. A magic circle came out from behind him. From that circle, came out the undead army and the high-level skeleton.
"Magic without a slap?! He can too?!!"
"Ck, this is troublesome. Brother Turquoise, Lix and Yue! Please take care of the skeleton and the Undead!! Brother Rin!! Help me face Lich!!!" exciting Aqua.
"All right!!!"
They split up without wasting time. Turquoise, Lix and Yue herded the undead away and tried to defeat them. Aqua and Citrine advanced towards the Lich.
Lich casts magic quickly. Before the magic spell ended, Aqua immediately moved to attack him with a dagger from behind. The creature managed to dodge Aqua's attack and instantly completed its ropes.
[The Spear of Darkness ]
The dark spear shot out rapidly towards Aqua and Citrine. Aqua kicked at the wall and bounced herself in order to dodge while pulling at Citrine.
[ The Flame ]
Without waiting for long, Aqua immediately let out fire magic.
[ Barrier ]
Aqua's magic doesn't even burn Lich's cloak thanks to protective magic.
"Sister Rin!! Hold me well if you don't want to fall asleep!!"
"Ah, yes!!"
Citrine hugged Aqua from behind. The boy created a foothold with ice magic instead of flying. Although the ice quickly fell, Aqua managed to climb to higher ground.
Lich didn't just stay still, she snapped her wand and flew away.
After being on the ceiling, Aqua made a permanent foothold of earth magic.
"Sir Rin!!"
"OK!!!!!"
Citrine casts magic long enough. Meanwhile, Aqua took out dozens of magic circles from above.
[A Thousand Ice Bullets ]
Thousands of pieces of ice were traveling at high speed like real bullets. With such a large number, it was almost impossible for the Lich to be able to avoid it.
The barrier that Lich made was successfully penetrated. Some of Aqua's ice bullets hit him and reduced his HP. However with the regeneration of the HP Lich, his HP recovered quickly. With the quantity of bullets, Aqua could compensate for the Lich's regeneration speed.
"Don't you think it'll end here!!"
[Tornado Ice ]
A tornado is created, it carries shrapnel of ice inside. Lich was trapped inside the tornado and fragments of ice scratched his body.
⟨ A weak attack like this is not enough to defeat me!! ⟩
Lich chanted quickly. A burst of flames shot out from the magic circle. The blast was so long that it could burn the ceiling.
"Great!!!!"
[Multiple Layers of Protection ]
In order to protect himself and Citrine, Aqua took out a protective layer that had 5 layers. Even though it has been installed, the fire is still difficult to hold.
"Uhhhh... hot!"
Lich swung her wand to the side. Some magic circles were formed instantly. From those circles, various kinds of magic came out. Everything is an element of darkness, such as the flames of darkness, spears and swords, etc.
"So then, Lich could only use magic without slurring for dark magic!"
All of those attacks were thrown at once.
"Sister! Is it still a long time?!"
"Awhile more!!! Don't disturb my concentration for a second!" citrine Jerrits.
"Hurry up, I'm having trouble here!"
"Yes! Aye!"
Aqua stared intently at Lich.
"Dodging or taking refuge is inefficient. In that case, I just have to eliminate that attack!"
[Apollo's Arrow of Light ]
It was seen the light forming a man with his bow. The man shot right in the direction Lich was. The arrow sped quickly, all of the Lich's attacks had managed to vanish without a trace after the arrow had passed through it.
⟨ How can a brat like you use high-level light magic?! ⟩
The evil lich held the arrow of light with his various magic. Unfortunately thanks to his efforts, Aqua's arrow was successfully restrained and did not scratch the Lich.
⟨ I seem to underestimate the kids of today. Thank you for being able to see me fight seriously! ⟩
"Don't say much and just do it, grandfather!! In a fight, the one who loses the most."
Aqua provokes Lich and makes him angry.
⟨ Hmph! You brat! Then try to hold this!!! ⟩
Lich swung his staff violently to the right and to the left. Suddenly the atmosphere in the room deteriorated. The ground shook violently, the ceiling seemed to be about to collapse due to its shock.
[The Nine Death Gates ]
Nine gates emerged from the underground. The scary look and the air coming out of the gate was enough to tell anyone it was dangerous.

Aqua gulped, cold sweat started flowing from her nape.
"What's right... It's just starting to have Epic-level magic?!!!"
