"Dad!"
Half-running Trias approached Mr. Sutopo who was doing the ritual of taking care of his beloved teak stick. Every day Mr. Sutopo often took the time to just clean the stick. The old man painstakingly wiped every surface of the stick that had been given a special liquid of wood cleaning with a micro fiber cloth.
"Dad had to rethink the decision that Dad just bequeathed the entire inheritance to his granddaughter! That brat has even tarnished our family's good name!"
Trias spoke with his neck veins that expanded twice. Reni who accompanied Trias put on a clearly visible look of anxious face.
"Aran that even Dad always uploaded turned out to be just a boy who couldn't even hold back his biological desires!"
"Then, Arun! Cih, that brat can't even take good care of himself! I could have thought of handing over all of Dad's inheritance to those useless boys!"
Trias continued to scatter, Reni withdrew her smile. He is proud because Trias has memorized all the scenarios he has prepared.
"Honey, calm down" Reni rubbed Triassic's back to calm him down.
"Dad, I asked for Father's wisdom! Disenfranchise the two unknowing boys from Dad's list of potential beneficiaries!" trias toilets.
Mr. Sutopo only glanced at Trias, but his attention was again focused on his beloved wand. The old man was still busy rubbing the stick until it was unusually slippery and shiny. The handle of the stick made of dark blue agate does not escape from the fuses of other fabrics with special cleaning fluid stones.
"Dad!" the Triassic felt neglected.
"Hmm, Trias, what are you talking about?" asked Mr. Sutopo without being sidetracked from the stone in his stick handle.
Trias and Reni looked at each other.
Is this old man senile?! Inner triassic.
Is this old man deaf? Inner Reni.
"Ehem, Dad," Reni cleared her throat. "Trias meant, it seems like Dad should reconsider Dad's decision to appoint an heir who will later receive all of Dad's inheritance."
"We think Aran and Arun are too young. They still can't think and act better. Aran even tripped over the scandal of immoral deeds. Who could have guessed that the perfect Aran was still a boy who could not control his desires" Reni continued.
"Not to mention Arun, Arun is exactly like Kak Surya who is less responsible for his life. Please consider further. What would happen if the two boys who can't even take responsibility for him were to take responsibility for our extended family?"
Reni tried to explain as much detail as possible to parents who had been considered senile.
"Trias, Reni" said Mr. Sutopo.
The sharp-eyed old man threw his gaze at the two people before him.
"I gave them a chance to take responsibility for what I gave them."
"What-what?!" furious Triassic.
Trias clenched his hands, his jaws hardened.
"Responsible to find the ring of Daddy's first love?! That's what you call responsibility?!"
"Dad already! Why do you constantly think about your first love? I've had enough of you hurting me because I'm still obsessed with your first love!"
"Did you still continue your obsession with finding your first love for those useless boys?"
"Is that the kind of responsibility that you give to your grandchildren?"
Trias asked Mr. Sutopo a question.
"Trias enough!" Mr. Sutopo gave the order.
"No, Dad! I won't stop until I feel like I'm getting justice!" sergeant Trias.
The middle-aged man's emotions were completely ignited.
"Uncle, Auntie! It's all up to Grandpa! After all, the treasure that Grandpa will inherit is Grandpa's treasure! Not your treasure!"
Trias and Reni were shocked to hear the voice of someone echoing behind them.
"Aaron!" ryan and Trias.
The eyes of the two immediately followed the figure of their nephew who was always relaxed. A typical wayward child who always denies parental orders.
"So, it's up to Grandpa to share what it looks like, in what way, for anyone, it's not something you can set and specify according to what you want!"
Arun immediately sat on the sofa with a sneering sneer.
"Shut your mouth!"
Trias' emotions are getting ignited, Reni tries to hold Trias.
"Darling!" Reni gripped tightly onto Trias' arm.
"Arun, what a coincidence that you came. What brings you here? Do you also want to complain about the scandal made by Aran to grandfather?" ask Reni.
"Scandal?" Arun's eyebrows are wrinkled.
"Yes, the Aran scandal that perverts in public places really tarnishes the good name of our family. Aunty really did not expect Aran to be able to do such a lowly thing," Reni continued.
"Oh so. But it's a pity that I'm not interested in Aran's problem, Auntie" Arun said.
Reni held her breath, a sense of resentment creeping back in her body.
"So, what are you doing here?" ask Trias.
"Well, since Uncle and Aunt happen to be here right now, I want to announce my wedding plans" Arun replied.
"What?!" trias and Reni.
"And I hope Uncle and Aunt can let me talk alone with Grandpa" Arun said.
Trias and Reni were still flabbergasted, before Reni finally withdrew Trias.
After making sure that his uncle and aunt left in a dumbfounded condition, Arun returned to face Mr. Sutopo.
"Grandfather, explain to me, what do you mean by Grandpa's first love ring?" ask Arun.
"So I happened to hear my uncle say that."
Mr. Sutopo is still silent.
"Well, I did feel that the search for the ring was a little strange. There must have been something in that ring until Grandpa made a contest like this. There's got to be some other intent to the search for the ring, right?"
"Grandfather could have found the ring himself without the need for me or Aran."
Mr. Sutopo tapped his finger on the surface of his stick handle made of dark blue agate.
"Yes, Grandpa does have the intention and purpose for the mission that Grandpa gave you," Mr. Sutopo said in the end.
"Grandfather plans to pass down Grandfather's entire inheritance to one of you who first found the ring. If the owner of the ring is a single woman, then you must marry her, "Sutopo explained.
"Haha I expected!" Arun laughs.
Mr. Sutopo squinted his eyes.
"Ehem, Grandpa, is the ring really worth it?"
"The promise on the ring is far more valuable than the ring itself."
"Either, Grandpa gave all the treasures that Grandpa has to you that can fulfill Grandpa's promise to the owner of the ring," continued Mr. Sutopo.
Arun fell silent, observing his grandfather who was staring at the agate in his grandfather's grasp.
"But Grandpa, I'm still entitled to be a candidate right? Well, suppose I find the ring first, I'll still get Grandpa's entire legacy right?"
"I certainly can't marry Grandpa's chosen woman, because I'm already married to my lover."
Mr. Sutopo looked straight at Arun.
"What if this were the case, if I had found the ring, I would have inherited it, and Aran would have married the woman" Arun said.
"Arun, why are you the one who arranged it?" ask Mr. Sutopo.
"I'm just giving advice, Cake," protested Arun.
Arun grimaced towards Pak Sutopo.
"So, Grandpa, can Grandpa pay for my wedding?"
"No!" replied Mr. Sutopo firmly.
"Kakeuk!" Arun lamented.
"Your marriage is your responsibility!"
"Grandfather! Please, I don't have any money!"
"Well, if you don't have money, go find it!"
