A man was in a hurry to enter a restaurant. Seeing a middle-aged man waving from one of the tables, the man immediately approached him.
"Sorry Uncle, Aunt, I'm late," Arun grinned towards his uncle and aunt.
Trias could hide his sour expression, but not with his wife, Reni. It had been two hours they waited for Arun to come to fulfill their invitation. Reni even had a chance to argue with Trias so they better go home and arrange a meeting at a later time.
"You're always late, so, I'm used to saying it" Trias chuckled.
"Arun is always busy, but I don't know what he's busy with!" Reni sneered while laughing.
"Haha, sorry, sorry!" Arun laughed thinly.
The waiter immediately came to serve food according to instructions from Reni, new food can be served if their guests have arrived.
The meat steak immediately sat before the three of them.
"Let's eat soon, it's been a long time since we've never had dinner together like this" Trias said.
"Right, as I recall, I think it was my grandfather's birthday ten years ago" Arun said.
"Haha, Arun, we should gather together more often even if it's just dinner" Reni said.
Arun cut up his steak.
"So, what did Uncle and Aunt mean to bother inviting me to dinner like this?" ask Arun.
Trias and Reni stopped cutting their steak meat, both of them throwing glances at each other. The two gave a code to talk according to the plan they had arranged before Arun's arrival.
"Ehem, so look, Arun, it's about sharing the inheritance from my father that I heard he said he gave terms to both of you, I mean, you and Aran," Trias said cautiously.
"Well, how did you know about Grandpa's terms?" ask Arun.
Trias and Reni looked at each other again. They certainly knew because they eavesdropped on the conversation.
"We know where it doesn't matter" Reni said.
"Yes, more importantly now, have you met those requirements?" ask Trias.
Arun chewed on the piece of steak. Wagyu beef is so soft and makes it seem reluctant to talk before swallowing.
"It must be very difficult yes, finding someone, let alone just capitalized on photos from ancient times," said Reni.
Arun still did not answer.
"Don't Aran find her first?" ask Reni.
"Okay, I don't know. Aran did not say anything to me" replied Arun, raising his shoulder.
"Of course Aran won't say anything to you. You're in the middle of a competition" Trias said.
Arun did not say because he again chewed the next piece of steak.
"Arun, how about we work together? Uncle and Aunt will help you" asked Reni.
Trias heaved a heavy sigh as he got a cold response from Arun who preferred chewing steak instead of talking.
"Arun, to be honest, you must have realized that this competition was only a formality. You must have known that my father was clearly more on Aran's side" Trias said.
"Yes, your grandfather must have deliberately held this competition to maintain your pride. Hold competitions to be considered able to give justice. Look at your uncle, did your uncle get justice?" reni asked as he rubbed Trias' arm.
"While it should be that everyone is competing, you, Aran, your uncle, and your father, should be like that, right?" Reni put emphasis.
"What your aunt said is true, Arun. Your uncle should also be entitled to the inheritance of your grandfather" Trias said.
"If we work together, Bibi is confident that we will win this competition and get your grandfather's entire estate" Reni said.
"We can divide it by 50:50, that's enough for Uncle," continued Trias.
"How, Arun? Do you agree with the offer Uncle gave you?" ask Trias.
Arun took a sip of mineral water, while Reni showed a careless expression because she was tired of talking at length but there was no response from Arun. Like an insurance agent who explains until his mouth froths but the client is still reluctant to make a decision.
"Arun, instead of Bibi doubting the ability you have, it's just that Aran has more of an edge that will make him win the competition! You won't get anything if you don't cooperate with the other party, especially your uncles and aunts!" reni toilet.
Arun frowned as soon as he observed the expressions of his uncle and aunt who were seen trying to cover up their irritation.
"Uncle, Auntie, did Uncle and Aunt also convey the same thing as this to Aran?" ask Arun.
Reni and Trias are shocked to hear Arun's question. Both of them did not expect to get such a question. The instantaneous question made them cranky.
Did Aran tell Arun about his uncle and aunt's negotiations?
Trias and Reni had met with Aran first to offer negotiations, but Aran refused. So they turned to Arun. The two looked at each other.
"W-what do you mean, Arun?" ask Reni to pretend.
"Why do you think we're telling Aran the same thing?" ask Trias.
Arun can read suspicious revelations from his uncle and aunt.
"Arun," said Reni.
"Uncle and Bibi are trying to help you face Aran, because Bibi believes you must need our help" Reni continued.
"Your grandfather has even sided with Aran, you really won't have a chance" Trias said.
"Uncle, Aunt, I haven't even done anything yet, yet you've looked down on my abilities. To be honest it really hurt my pride" Arun grinned.
"No-no, Arun! We didn't mean to look down on you!" sergeant Reni.
"Yes, we're just trying to get you some help!" connect Trias.
"Uncle, Aunt, I'm really grateful to you who've been trying to help me. But it feels like this competition will be unfair to me and Aran as well" Arun said.
Not to mention if it turns out you guys are double agents, inner Arun.
"I will live this competition fairly according to grandfather's orders, that's my decision" Arun continued.
"Thank you for the food, excuse me" Arun said goodbye.
"Arun! Wait!" sergeant Trias.
"Arun, back! Or you'll be sorry!" exclaim Reni.
Arun did not care, he still left his uncle and aunt.
Cih, you Uncle and Aunt! His inner.
"Basar kid doesn't know it's lucky! I'll make sure he'll regret his decision to reject our offer!" grouse Reni.
"Huhhhh! They are both of them!" furious Triassic. "How's this? What do we do?"
"The two rancid brats really wanted to master my father's treasure, and I could only be a spectator like this! I can't, Reni! Can't!" lamented Trias.
"Darling, didn't I say clearly that Arun would regret it?"
"What do you mean?"
"We'll see! Because I've prepared another plan as a backup!" Reni smiled at the sumringah.
