The Eternal Fragments of Moonlight

The Eternal Fragments of Moonlight
Chapter 6: Promises and Flowers

The time was 13:00 when Alan and Laras were enjoying their lunch at one of the Food Courts inside the shopping center. Since morning they have been around spending time together from one spot to another.

Beside them were piles of groceries which all belonged to Laras. Among them are also teddy bears that they had obtained from the Game Center. Once in a while Alan looked at Laras he found Laras smiling widely at him while sitting on his hands and eating Beef Steak as a lunch menu.

“Hey, how?” Laras. “Lo enjoy our date today?”

“Sure.” Alan smiled.

Today Laras is being very sweet towards Alan. Although sometimes still looks arrogant when he speaks, but compared to his behavior at school every day, Laras today is much sweeter. He did not hesitate to hold Alan's hand as they walked. He drew his face closer while talking and when they took pictures in the photo box, Laras did not hesitate to embrace Alan's hand and lean on his shoulder.

Actually this is not their first time “jalan” together. Therefore, although sometimes still looks awkward, today Alan is quite accustomed to keep the attitude.

“After this, we watch.” Laras said while still smiling warmly.

“Aduh Ras, like I said earlier I can only until one hour today. Yes at the latest half two, because I have family business.” Answer Alan. “Sorry Yes Ras.”

Laras' face turned cold, but in an instant he smiled again. “You how again. If so we go home now just let you not late.”

Laras takes some of his groceries and a fairly large teddy bear beside him, then extends his hand to Alan. After taking some more groceries that were still lying down, Alan grabbed Laras' hand and they walked together.

They arrived at the stop in front of the shopping center and placed the groceries on the bench. Then Alan stood to wait for the bus to come while Laras sat among the groceries while holding a teddy bear.

"Oh yes, Race. Actually there was something I wanted to ask."

"Yep, I'm quite satisfied today." Barrel smiled. "Yes, even though I still want to continue."

"Su, thank goodness, haha. But that's not what I want to ask."

"Continue?"

"Emm." Alan paused for a moment. "Look at Race, do you have any of Mira's contacts?"

"Huh?!"

"Mom, it's not like that. I just want to know if you've been texting Mira lately? Like a chat or an email? You see yesterday, there was a strange message on his HP and the name of the sender of the strange message."

Barrel threw away his face without answering. Staring with nanar towards the vehicle passing by on the highway. After being silent for quite a while, he finally smiled faintly at Alan.

"Message? What message? I don't know." His word. "Do you think I don't have a more important job than sending a strange message to that jablay?"

"alright. Forget." Now it was Alan's turn to throw his face away.

The bus they will be riding is different. So that when the bus that Alan was going to ride came, he turned towards Laras to say goodbye. They could have run into each other. But just as Alan was about to get into the bus, Laras called out to him stammeredly making him turn his head once more.

At that time Laras was trying to walk towards him while trying to bring all the groceries and teddy bears that size is quite large. Of course as a result some groceries fell and scattered on the sidewalk. Alan immediately got back off the bus and helped Laras pick up his splattered groceries.

“I'll take you home.” Alan said as he picked up most of the scattered groceries.

“Still Alan, I know you are very good.”

Not long after, a bus with a major in Nitehake Temple came. They both went up and got carried away with him.

***

Alan immediately ran after he got off the bus. The goal is a flower garden on a cliff that is in the Teduh Range. He looked at his cell phone to find out the time. At 16:40 he was almost 3 hours late from the appointed time. He spent a lot of time in the house of Laras. I don't know what they're doing there, but it looks like Laras has given him a lot to do.

Alan tries to contact Mira but the number he contacts is off. Since her date with Laras, she has been reluctant to open her phone despite several times her phone vibrates. And it must have been from Mira, because now on her phone there are some logs of missed calls from her. It seems that Alan was afraid that if Laras found out he had an appointment with Mira that day, well everything would turn chaotic.

With breath and sweat on his forehead, Alan climbed the stairs that were on the cliff side of Mount Teduh. He was carrying a bag of donuts that he had bought before taking the bus.

Until the middle of the stairs his steps suddenly stopped. Faintly, the sound of violin came from the top of the cliff.

Alan sped up his steps and as he climbed the last steps, he saw a girl sitting on grass in the middle of the park. She wore a beautiful white dress that occasionally fluttered along with her long hair when the afternoon breeze struck. Both of his hands were busy playing the violin embedded in his shoulder.

Alan, stunned, decided not to say hello and waited for the girl to finish her violin.

“Well, if that was Paganini, Caprice no. 24, good right, Lan?” Mira spoke to the grass that was in front of her.

After a moment of silence. “It's great.” Answer Alan.

“Not long.”

“Ka, you should have said that you were here! Ta, I was.....”.

“Sorry, I'm very late. I don't think you're still here, Mira. I feel so guilty.”

“Nothing, I already have permission to leave the house until the afternoon, so all I use for violin practice here.” Her speech. “The plan, after the last song I will continue to go home but it turns out you came. Looks like we are indeed a match.”

Silent.

“Ma, that means we are dating to meet today.”

After a few silent gazes between them, laughter finally broke out.

Alan approached Mira and sat down next to her and opened the donuts she was carrying. They both then enjoy it while joking and occasionally Mira plays some songs with her violin.

He seemed very happy to show his ability to play the violin to Alan. Despite waiting for almost three hours there, alone without any certainty Alan will come, but all of it seemed to pay off completely with a few moments of togetherness they spent. Mira's never looked this happy before. Not this happy when she was with Dian. Also when he's with anyone.

“Mira, by the way after graduation, do you want to continue your career in music? I think you're very talented.”

“Yap, my dreams are to become a famous composer like Papah and my dreams after graduating high school later I want to study music in Germany. He said there are a lot of good music colleges.”

“Germany? How can it be the same? I also plan after graduating High School will continue school there.” Alan Sahut. “I lived there while still in elementary school.”

“Eh, have you ever lived in Germany?”

“Iya.”

“Means you can speak German dong?”

“Hmm... Yes?”

“Wah fun! Then you can teach me German from now on.”

At that time Alan began to teach Mira some conversations in German, some of which Mira already understood and participated in replying using German.

They look very cohesive and harmonious. As fate has indeed outlined them to be together. In the middle of the conversation, Mira sticks out her little finger to Alan and asks him to promise each other to make their dreams come true to Germany together. Alan also shrieked by wrapping his little finger. “Sicher” said.

“Eh, Lan. By the way if the flowers are near the fence, you know German?”

In front of the fence located on the edge of the cliff, there are rows of flowers with various shapes and colors. From the big to the very small.

“I didn't know so much about flowers.”

“Means now it's my turn to teach you, hihi.” Mira proudly said it. “Well, the colorful flower in front of the fence, the name is Gerbera Flower, the flower symbolizes a long-growing love. While the small yellow flowers there, the name Buttercup, the flower has a childish meaning.”

“Ah, very suitable with you, Mir.” Cut Alan.

“Huu... suck!” Said Mira. “But you are not the first to say that. And I think also the flower is enough to symbolize me, hihi.”

“Well if the flower is attached to the tree, you must know.”

“Hmm, Orchid?”

“Betul, continue if the flower that expands is big, you know the name?”

Alan groaned.

“That's a Chrysanthemum flower, or commonly called Seruni.” Unmistakably. “The flower has a deep meaning depending on the color. If the color is white as it is there, he symbolizes honesty and loyalty, while if the color red means love, if the yellow one means cheerfulness.”

“Wah you know a lot about flowers ya.”

“Iya dong, because I like flowers altogether!”

Alan frowned while continuing to listen to the explanation from Mira. Looks like he found a good idea. After this if you want to give a gift to Mira, then give her flowers. He'll be very happy.

Mira still continues to talk about flowers and indeed of all the explanations she conveys about flowers, in my opinion, everything is correct and explained in detail. Only one thing Mira missed to explain perfectly. About the yellow chrysanthemum flowers. The flower in addition to having the meaning of cheerfulness and joy, also has another meaning. That is as a symbol of love that claps one hand and love that needs to be watched out for.
