...💞 Happy reading 💞...
Aslan was staring at the floor, his mind was now wandering, thinking back to his friendship with his sister when they were little. It is still very clear in memory of Aslan the day where his parents had a big fight at that time until he had to part with his beloved sister.
Flashback on*
"You know how tired I am in the office huh? the husband came home instead of being welcomed, provided this cake is just angry!"
"Mas, I don't understand you, but think the children's feelings! have you promised them to come out of Aslan's birthday? where is your responsibility!"
"Yes, I know, but I'm tired too! office is doing a lot of work today. Can I cancel tomorrow?!"
The two adults who were currently fighting with screams, cheers and items thrown, looked very terrible at the sight of the two boys who were currently seeing the quarrel.
Aslan and little Chiara could only hide, hearing the commotion of their parents, the two little angels who knew nothing about adult matters had to be forced to understand by the circumstances. Little Aslan knew all this was due to her until finally their mother and father had a fight, again.
"Sister, mama and papa noisier again?" ask Chiara the little one, the innocent one. His clear eyes were terrified, hearing the voices of the two adults who were fighting the argument so loud that it echoed throughout their room.
Aslan, who knew her sister's fear, grabbed Chiara's tiny body, smothering her tightly. Although he himself also felt afraid to hear the noise and various sounds of objects falling so hard, how not, he said, a 9-year-old boy with his 4-year-old sister had to be forced to see and hear the quarrel of the two parents before their eyes. And this time it seems like the fight was really big to make their mother cry.
"Alah, you're the reason you're busy in the office, actually you're walking around the same as your secretary's cheating, right?!"
"Damnah!!"
Plakk!
Aslan glared holding his breath, as he saw his mother being slapped so hard by his father that she fell on the floor.
"So what you say?!" Baskoro glared fiercely, unhappy with his wife's accusations.
"So speech? you should be the one who can take care of your behavior. You think I don't know these two months you're often coming home late because you're busy with your affair?!"
Rasti rose with her eyes reddened in tears she pulled the collar of Baskoro's clothes, her own husband whom she had always respected.
"I've been patient all this time for the kids. Can't you understand me, I'm at home tired of taking care of your kids, but out there you're having fun cheating, where is your heart?!" the tired Berang Rasti hid all the pressure he had felt all along.
"Shut up!!" Baskoro pushed Rasti's body, embarrassed because the affair had been known by his wife he instead filed a charge back to the woman who had given birth to his two children.
"You think I haven't known all this time about your betrayal with Rudi, who she says is only a friend to you huh?!"
Rasti shook his head. "Family you!"
"You are silent, it's true my mother said, you are not a good woman!"
Rasti shook his head increasingly in disbelief, it turned out that during this time Parwita, her mother-in-law was the provocateur in their household. It is fitting that lately her husband's attitude has changed drastically, not only about the man's affair but the instigation of his mother also contributed to their quarrels so far.
"Rasti Setiawan, from today on this second I am mentally you, you are not my wife anymore.
Please get out of here!"
Rasti froze, not only he was shocked but Aslan who saw the quarrel both also shocked by what his father said. Although he was only nine years old, he knew what talaq or divorce was, which meant that his parents had officially separated. At least that's what the boy knew seeing from how the neighborhood and his friends were telling him about their two separated parents.
"Papa don't!" Aslan desperately comes out of hiding to protect the mother, but when he shows himself Aslan has seen his weeping mother and his father who stands with a beautiful woman. Aslan knew clearly the woman who had been with her father lately. Because of her father, she forgot her birthday today.
Aslan was not afraid of anything, the boy came forward stretching out his hands to make himself a shield to protect his mother.
"Dad, don't hurt your mother again!"
"Shut up! a child already dares to fight huh? just like your bundle!" Baskoro who was flustered with anger dragged his young son, he pulled Aslan out of Rasti who panicked immediately rose up after the son.
"Follow me!"
Aslan was only silent with anger that was quietly ignited blazing in his chest. Baskoro firmly dragged the small arm of Aslan and pushed the body of his own son out.
"Mas, stop! don't hurt Aslan too, he's a kid, he doesn't know anything?" Rasti grew sobbing, hugging Aslan's body.
"Have been quiet, I'm sick of it now! you two get out of here!"
Rasti rounded his eyes in disbelief. "How could you?"
"You'd rather have this affair than your own wife and children?!" rasti said while pointing to the woman next to her husband who was the cause of the destruction of their household.
"Shut up! get the fuck out of here! take your son too, I'm not sure that child is my flesh and blood!"
"Mas ... " Rasti was shocked to hear her husband's words. "How could you speak so in front of Aslan?"
Actually whatever incitement given her mother-in-law to the husband to be like this, Rasti really did not expect it.
Aslan who was still in his mother's arms raised her face looking at her father with a look of hate.
"Bad papa! I hate papa!"
"Shut up! go and lift your legs now?!" hardik Baskoro repelled with his firm, until suddenly little Chiara came out running with a loud scream.
"Mother, Brother Aslan!" the girl was about to approach the two but Baskoro quickly held back.
"No Chiara! you stay here with papa!"
Chiara rebelled crying out loud. "Wouldn't! I want the same mother and sister Aslan!"
"Chiara!"
"Sir Aslan!"
Aslan was stunned, his soul seemed to be drawn back after remembering when he and his sister separated due to the circumstances that forced that time.
At that time he hated his father, Aslan and his mother finally left their home carrying a trauma that left Aslan little because of the quarrels of his parents.
His father officially married the secretary who became his affair. But the law of karma was there, their happiness was only temporary when his father and his new wife died in an accident.
Until finally Aslan, the mother and Chiara were found again. After the tragic death of his father and his mistress, they regroup into a small, harmonious family, fond of the sorrows they live with. Rasti asked for understanding to his two children so as not to meet the family of Baskoro party, their father because Rasti already knows very well how their habits, especially Parwita who could have misled his son and daughter also to the wrong path even though he actually wrongly distanced the grandchildren with their grandparents. But Rasti did not want his two children to be affected badly to be forced to do that. Rasti takes her two children to go to her hometown and start a new life of three.
But it seems like God still wants to test them, three months they rebuild a small family that almost collapsed, Aslan and Chiara must return to grieve with Rasti's sudden death due to uterine cancer that turns out to be secretly lodged in the woman's body.
Aslan and Chiara are officially orphans. They both had to swallow the sad reality at their very young age.
But it was not long before they stayed together. At that time Aslan was disappointed when he had to work after school to fill their stomachs, he invites Chiara to play in a park intending to leave his sister for a while while he exchanges the junk he has collected to the besiegers for a few dollars to eat today.
When she returned, Chiara was nowhere. Aslan shouted, running to find his sister around the park, he had also asked the residents for help to find his sister but nil.
Aslan cried as quickly as possible, feeling like he failed to take care of his sister. The residents looked at him in sympathy until finally a luxury car came to them.
Parvita and her husband are coming. They intend to pick up Aslan.
"Sorry parents, he is our grandson. His sister has actually died a long time ago but our grandson cannot accept the reality until tantrums continue to think that his sister is missing." that is what Parwita explained to the citizens.
Aslan heard that rampage did not accept "So! Chiara is still alive, what did grandma say?!"
Parwita smiled reluctantly, apologizing to the citizens who were there and immediately pulled Aslan away.
"Let's go, baby." take Parwita, ask Pangestu, her husband to pull Aslan from there.
"Wouldn't! I'm gonna go find Ciara!"

Aslan rubbed the corner of the eye, recalling that painful memory carried a separate wound in his heart that went back gaping.
Until now though fifteen years have passed he still believes if his sister is still alive but somewhere, until that belief leads him to meet Kirana who reminds him of Chiara, his sister.
...---------oo--------...
Aslan walked gontai out of the treatment room, the nurse came staring worriedly at him.
"Sorry sir, you still haven't recovered why did you leave the room?"
"I want to get some fresh air sus, I'm stuffy in the room continue."
"But sir-"
"Let me watch, sus." suddenly the voice of a woman recalls from behind, Aslan and the nurse turned to the source of the voice.
Vania stood there, with her eyes still bright but the girl could still smile, she approached Aslan and the nurse.
"Well, the patient seems to need fresh air for the healing of his wounds as well, I will accompany, if something happens I can quickly call the paramedics."
The sister nodded only to be able to agree. "Well, if so."

Aslan and Vania walked around the park near the hospital, this night was so beautiful because the moonlight that highlighted the shade plus the beautiful sparkle of stars in the sky there as if accompanying their journey.
"Why did you come?" asked Aslan to the point, Vania found a look of dislike on the handsome face.
"Wrong if I want to see you?" ask Vania back.
"No. But it's best not because we don't have any relationship."
Aslan's words struck him, leaving Vania speechless for a moment. That made Aslan stop his steps.
"You crying?" guess Aslan.
"No." replied Vania quickly.
"But my words hurt you, right?"
Vania was silent, her eyes staring blankly.
"You don't need to be this hard fighting Vania. Our world is different, so you better focus on your life instead of keeping busy with me."
Recall the words of his grandmother Aslan also said again. "And what you said about me and Kirana to Grandma was so outrageous to Vania, because you all got it wrong."
"I'm sorry" said Vania slowly. "I was wrong but you were wrong with your treatment of Kirana."
"I just think of her as Vania's sister, you know that?"
"Yes, I know you told me everything about how Kirana reminded you of your sister Chiara." Vania turned her head to look at the man with a raised voice.
"But, your closeness to Kirana could be people's suspicion, I just don't want your kindness to be Boomerang for yourself."
Now it was Aslan's turn to be silent. "Thank you for worrying about me, but I can take care of myself."
The man turned away after saying that hoping for Vania to understand and stopped to interfere in her matters. But the girl ran after him.
"Aslan wait!"
Grepp's! Vania managed to pull Aslan's burly arm until they came back face to face.
Beside the big tree, under the moonlight, Vania pulled Aslan's body closer, something Aslan had never expected from her.
The tep! both of Vania's hands pulled each of Aslan's cheeks forcing both of the man's eyes to look at her.
"Listen to Aslan Mavendra, you can't stop a Vania Prameswari from chasing you. I'll stay here as your breath."
Aslan blinked with widened eyes stunned with the courage that Vania currently has.
"I'm sorry for my excessive attitude towards your good attitude with Kirana, I know you only consider her as your sister," Vania said again and then released her hand on Aslan's cheek, there was a krirrelaan in Aslan's heart when Vania did that. Actually they do love each other but circumstances force them to hold that feeling.
"Listen from now on from this second I will remain beside you, I will help you to search for your missing sister. Then Vania took Aslan's hand and wrapped it around her larger hand with her two tiny hands.
"I know you miss him so much ... "
Because Vania memorized the habits of Aslan who will always walk in the park when remembering about her sister.
Can they find the missing Chiara?
To be continued ...
