PHGP 08 | Caring for aching Kiran

Welcome to read🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻

"So what's wrong with her body?" shaka asked the doctor who finished checking Kirana's condition. For a moment the man turned to look at Kirana who was still closing her eyes on the bed, there was a feeling of guilt that now appeared in Shaka's heart.

"His body temperature was very hot, he probably had a severe fever and for his fearful response, the patient seemed to be traumatized."

"Trauma?" shaka's forehead creased as soon as he heard the doctor's explanation.

"Yes, the patient is traumatized. So many burdens that he seems to bear alone, plus maybe a dark childhood makes patients feel threatened to end up rebelling for no reason. I suggest, try to invite the patient to talk, treat him gently, so that his traumatic it can be slightly eased. And if it gets worse can directly consult a psychologist, for further treatment."

Shaka was stunned, he turned his head towards Kirana back who still had not opened his eyes. Never did the man think that Kirana had such a severe problem that it caused trauma.

"I've prepared the medicine and its instructions, you can give it to him once the patient is conscious. Then excuse me."

Shaka nodded then he escorted the doctor to his doorstep. As soon as she was about to turn around again, her grandmother and mother blocked her path.

"How's your wife doing, Ka?" ask Helen and Renata, worried. They hurriedly came here after seeing the doctor leave.

"The doctor said it was just a fever, Oma, bun." Shaka replied. He didn't tell me about the trauma Kirana was going through didn't want them to worry more.

"Have you given medicine?" ask Renata.

"Yet bun. He was not conscious yet" said Shaka, suddenly his guilt grew. He did not understand why, for sure he was responsible for what happened to Kirana at this time.

Renata was shocked to hear it. "Is it as bad as your wife's condition, Ka?"

"It's improved bun. Just waiting for him to wake up, you don't need that big."

Renata sighed in realizing Shaka's seemingly indifferent attitude to Kirana's current condition.

"Ka, mom and grandma already know the real story of your real wife," said Renata, slowly.

Shaka breaking. "What kind of story did he tell you?"

"Not to be that angry." sergeant Helen quickly, join the conversation, see the hue of anger on Shaka's face at this time. "Ka, pity the girl, for whatever reason if you don't want her, just let her go. Than he keeps getting hurt being next to you."

Shaka pensive. Release Kirana? can he do it?

"You knew? Kiran turns out to be sold by her own uncles and aunts, the poor girl has a tragic life, even though you married for your own purposes, but try to treat her well."

"What your mother said was right, Shaka, we had a chat this morning. Kirana has a very bad life, do not add to her suffering again. Try to open your eyes and your heart, your marriage is so fast, you still need a lot of time together and adapt" Helen said, giving her advice to Shaka, hoping that the man understood and could treat Kirana well.

"This gives it to your wife later if she's already human." Helen gave him a tray that he had been carrying, containing a bowl of porridge and warm drinking water.

Shaka accepted it with a slight hesitation. His eyes looked at the tray the grandmother gave him with a raging mind.

"Remember this Ka, even if you don't love Kirana, try to treat her well." Helen rubbed the man's muscular arm.

After that, the two women left Shaka with long thoughts.

...---------oo--------...

This morning Kiran was only able to wake up from her long sleep. He felt a tremendous pain on his head, extremely throbbing.

As soon as he turned his head, his face was already directly faced with the face of a man who was staring expressionlessly at him.

"T-mister .. you." Kirana flinched, she was about to get up but Shaka held her back.

"Don't move much." Shaka said in a cold voice as Kiran forced herself to get off the bed.

"No need." said Shaka. The man then took a new tray that the grandmother had just given him, there was a bowl of porridge that still reflected a little smoke, drinking water and medicine.

"Drink this water first" Shaka ordered a glass of water to Kiran.

Instead of welcoming, Kiran just stared strangely at Shaka's sudden change of attitude.

"Why did this man turn nice to me?"

"Wait for what else? take water. Take it easy I don't put poison in it."

"T-no sir, it's just ... "

"Fast accept it or I'll be mad!" shaka said that every word made Kirana not to continue her speech.

In such a cruel face Kiran also according. He took a glass of warm-toenail water in Shaka's hand and drank it in half.

"Is it better?" shaka asked seemed indifferent but somehow Kirana felt like there was a tucked of sincerity there.

"S-it's mister .. " replied Kirana a little nervously. A sudden change of good attitude like this actually raises a new alertness in Kirana's heart.

"Even if you don't love her but at least treat your wife well."

The grandmother's words were reverberated in Shaka's mind. The man sitting in bossy style slowly changed his sitting position as he watched Kirana closely. Is now concern beginning to perch in his rock-hard heart? Can he treat Kirana well?

"T- What do you want?" Kirana asked in surprise, upon seeing Shaka who took the bowl of porridge and stirred it slowly.

"You have to take medicine, so you have to fill your stomach first" Shaka said casually, not caring if Kirana was desperately holding back her surprised expression.

"S-I can m-eat myself then." Kirana was about to take the bowl because she felt bad, but Shaka kept her away.

With a still stiff face and cold inner voice Shaka spoke again. "You want to go against my orders?"

"Of course not sir ... "

"Eat according!"

Kiran shuddered, she said nothing more. Too many changes in Shaka's attitude that make the mind more chaotic. It's strange! that was the one word that appeared in his brain for Shaka's current attitude.

"Open your mouth!" shaka said, instructing as his hand thrust a spoonful of porridge in front of Kiran.

"I never did this to anyone else. You're the first one to make me have to feed you, so open your mouth!" shaka's word again when Kiran found him did not respond at all.

Finally Kiran nodded quickly in response, she did not want the man to be angry anymore, Kiran also received a bribe from Shaka and chewed the porridge slowly.

While outside, there was Helen and Renata who turned out to be quietly observing behind the door. They smile and clap each other, happy.

"We succeeded my daughter-in-law, finally Shaka wanted to open a little heart and want to listen to us" said Helen who was immediately nod by Renata.

"Yes mom. I'm happy to see how Shaka has started to get noticed, hopefully this will be a good start to their relationship."

"Aamiin, hopefully yes. Yeah, well, now that we're gone, let them enjoy the moment together even longer."

Renata nodded again at her mother-in-law's proposal and the two women left to let Shaka and Kiran both stay longer.

To be continued ....
