Chapter 14 - The Mazoku Movement

Finally, summer came. There was no strange occurrence at all.

Ethan sits at God's desk in God's usual Office. His face that fused with the table was really very lethargic and tired.

"Mana and Miasma had gotten more and more congested the past few months.A lot of reports from the Adventure Guild about novice or senior Adventurers getting injured when entering the Black Forest and Dungeons around… then what am I supposed to do? Damn it, Mom and Dad are going to the Royal Capital." Ethan grumbled.

Ethan is serving as a temporary Lord when Lord and Claire leave. Lord and Claire were going to the Royal Capital because there was an urgent matter to be resolved immediately.

But according to Ethan, they're just going for their honeymoon. This was clearly visible from the faces of Lord and Claire who were very happy when they left.

"Well, but they shouldn't leave an 8-year-old to solve all these problems…." Ethan continues to grumble while still doing his job.

Just then, a knock interrupted Ethan's mind.

Knock Knocks.

Ethan immediately fixed his facial expression and also stopped working on the documents.

When Ethan gives her permission, Mia goes into Ethan's room carrying some stuff in a sizable backpack. Ethan can't bear to see that.

"Just put it in there, it's gonna be heavy" Ethan said.

Mia nodded and immediately put her luggage on the floor. Next, he gave me a letter.

"Young Master, Clarissa gave a report to you about the Cafe."

Ethan who heard that became a little interested. Cafe, has been opened since 1 month ago, and the results are quite good where visitors come quite a lot.

Ethan receives the letter and immediately breaks the seal and reads it.

The sales are really hard. The orphanage does not need to worry in the near future about financial matters. This is good news.

"Mia, immediately tell the Knight Commander to gather all the Knights and evacuate the residents. And send a reply to the Adventure Guild, ask them to prepare for Adventure at the South Gate."

Mia, don't ask any further. He could tell from the Young Master's atmosphere that this was a very serious matter. So, he just bowed and bailed.

"I understand, excuse me," he said and left immediately.

Ethan immediately retrieves the ordered item from Mia, a bow and a number of arrows.

"This kind of thing happens when Mom and Dad aren't around, how lucky I am" Ethan says in a melancholy voice.

Ethan moved on when he was done preparing.

"Let's see for ourselves."

Ethan's goal this time is the Black Forest, which is reportedly about to experience Stampede soon. Yes, a Stampede was reported to be imminent by the Adventure Guild in its report.

With and supported by his and hers, Ethan soon finds a place where Miasma is very dense, and also a presence in very large numbers.

"! This... quite a lot... 5000? ...7000?"

7000 life marks appeared in Ethan's detection, this was a very large number and their races were likely diverse when viewed from their Mana waves.

"Their strength seems to be a little above Big Rat.no, there are some that are extremely strong."

After running for a few minutes, Ethan finally reached the place of the Monsters. Finally the original figure of the sign that Ethan felt entered his view.

Ethan frowned staring at the horde of Monsters in front of him. It was a collection of Monsters of various Races.

"Goblin, wolf, and Kobold as well as some Orcs and Ogres. Several upper-level species also appeared," Ethan murmured.

"In addition to that." Ethan's gaze leads to the biggest Monster of the Monster Horde, no more precisely to his head. "Mazoku? They've started to move, yeah…."

A Humanoid figure with goat horns and purple skin sat on top of Wyvern's head, and there were not only one, but three of them. The appearance of Mazoku indicates that Mazoku and the Devil have started to move.

"So it seems to have started yes" Ethan murmured.

Ethan then immediately prepares his bow and arrows.

"Well, let's subtract at least 100-200 from them."

Ethan gives the Enchantment towards his arrows and aims towards the Ogre and Orcs of the Monsters.

Pshu!

The arrow flew and stuck right at the neck of Ogre and Orc.

"!"

The arrow managed to give instant death to the Ogre and Orcs that were hit. This at least slowed down the arrival of the Monsters.

Mazoku, who felt there was something strange immediately looked down from their Wyvern.

"Hey, isn't there something strange? I feel there is a Mana reaction" said one of them.

Hearing that, his comrades were confused by what he said and they laughed at his words.

"Hahahaha, what are you saying? Do you think there's a human coming?"

"Perhaps there will only be Dragons who dare to come to this place,"

Mazoku who said that something strange happened earlier, was upset by it.

"Hey, look down. The Orcs and Ogres had suddenly fallen to the ground!" His voice pointed towards the Monsters.

His comrades frowned and looked downwards.

"What the hell are you-"

His words came to a halt when they saw about 200 of the Orcs and Ogres falling on the ground. Of course it was impossible for them to say that there was nothing strange anymore after seeing the strange happenings.

Incredible intimidation was unleashed from those three Mazoku.

"It looks like there's a rat here. Should we go look for it?"

"Hmm? If it is seen that nothing else has fallen from the Ogres and Orcs, it looks like the rat has escaped."

"Hmm, maybe-watch out!?"

Shhh.

An arrow suddenly came towards one of them.

"!"

The arrow was stuck right into the heart of one of the Mazoku and caused instant death for that Mazoku. This of course caused the other Mazoku to panic.

"What's!? Hurry up to b*the bastard!"

"Damn it, get him!"

The direction of the arrow was clearly visible, so they could tell where the attacker was.

But, Ethan is not stupid, there is no way Ethan will remain there when his position is already visible to the enemy. He soon escapes when Mazoku is still confused by the death of his partner.

Ethan who was running had a very serious face.

"That Mazoku, they are equivalent to Adventure Rank B, so it might be a little difficult."

Adventure Rank B was very few, there were probably only 1000 People in the entire Continent, and in Mallorca there were only 120 of them.

"Huh... seems to have finished my bias life," he said bitterly.

Ethan immediately decides to return to Mallorca City and runs without looking back at all.
