After leaving the cafe, Zachary and his partner quickly broke through the morning human traffic in Trondheim Square with all the speed they could muster. There is no parking available for private cars near the square. So, they walked through the streets for about five minutes to get to the Trondheim Torg parking lot, where Ryan Bellmore left his vehicle.
"It's a nice car" Zachary said as soon as he saw Ryan Bellmore's vehicle. He was surprised to learn that it was the Mercedes Benz G-Class cross-country model, one of the most luxurious brands in the Norwegian car market. It was a ferocious beast from a black machine that stood out even in a place like Trondheim Torg, where many wealthy city characters often parked their vehicles.
"Thank you for your praise" Ryan replied, grinning widely. "I spent most of my annual income last year?"
"How much?" Zachary investigated, slowly starting to move around Benz to check on him.
"350K Norwegian Kroner," replied Ryan, equalling Zachary's move. "But I was lucky to get it in the second hand. When it was new, it probably cost more than double here in Norway."
"Oh, I guess it's cheap for a Benz given the prices of luxury goods here in Norway," Zachary said after touring the vehicle. "Don't tell me you're using this to race because it's gonna be so weird."
"Of course not" replied Ryan quickly. "I have another engine that I use to race. It's a Ford Mustang sports car, to be specific." He paused for a moment, moving closer to Zachary.
"If you want," he continued, his voice dropped. "I can invite you to the next race at the end of June. You will get the chance to see me race with my powered engine and also meet some socialites from all over Scandinavia. You'll definitely like it. Whether it's hot girls, would-be wealthy investors, plus good food and drink—they can all have a chance to take part in this race. So, do you want to come?"
"Friends," cried Emily from the other side of the vehicle, interrupting them before Zachary could give an answer. "Let's move. Zachary has to go back and rest. Remember he played the game last night."
"Aye, boss," Ryan replied before turning to Zachary. "Think," he whispered before opening the car door and getting into the driver's seat.
Zachary also made himself comfortable in the back seat next to Emily. And they went to the car dealership Muller Bil to meet with Audi's marketing staff. The traffic was not busy that morning, and they managed to arrive at the dealership in just twenty minutes.
"This is the place" Ryan announced as they stopped at one of the few vacant spots in the Moller Bil parking lot with the sign "Messaged to Customers". As soon as they got off the vehicle, they found an elegant slim blonde woman in a suit waiting for them, just a few steps away.
"Welcome to Muller Bil" he said, extending a hand to Zachary to greet him. "I'm Anna, and also Ryan's friend at this dealership. We're glad you're here." He added with a smile.
"Thank you" Zachary replied, grabbing his hand. "I'm Zachary Bemba. Thank you for accepting us." He smiled back at her.
"The pleasure is ours" she said and then greeted Emily before saying a few words to Ryan. The way he handles people shows that he is a professional who has long perfected the art of dealing with customers.
"The Audi people must have been waiting for you in one of the conference rooms" Anna said after they finished exchanging greetings. "If you're ready, I can take you there now."
"He's already here?" Ryan asked, looking surprised. "It's only been about 20 minutes since I called."
"He arrived here ten minutes ago," Anna replied with a smile. "She seemed to be dying to meet Zachary. Should we go in now? Or do you want to go around the showroom first before the meeting?" He investigated again, his tone formal and professional.
"Let's go in first," Emily replied after glancing at Zachary. "We'll decide what to do from there."
"OK, follow me," Anna said before turning around to lead the way to the dealer. Ryan immediately matched his steps and started talking to her. On the other hand, Emily did not follow them but patted Zachary's arm before pulling him back for a light chat.
"When we go inside," he said, his tone was serious. "Give me all the negotiations. We will only assess their offer. So, don't get lulled into any deal before we properly review it. Okay?" He asked, leaning his head slightly to hold Zachary's gaze.
"Sure, I understand," replied Zachary. "Don't worry. I'll do what you say."
Emily's face grew into a beautiful smile. "That makes my heart calm. Then let's go inside." He said and followed Ryan and Anna.
As Zachary walked through the entrance to the dealer, he—was blinded by the varying number of glittering slender machines aligned there. Across the showroom are neatly parked various models of Audi and Volkswagen car brands. Be it SUVs, convertible cars, or Sportback— - all of them are there, waiting for the eagerly wealthy customer to seize them.
"Can I have a look?" He asked Anna after taking a look at the surrounding scenery. "That's if we still have time before the meeting."
"Please," Anna said with a smile. "Audi marketing manager instructed me to follow your wishes. And I'm sure he's still discussing some things with the manager. So, don't worry. Take your time. Do you want me to give you a tour?"
"No, but thank you," said Zachary, looking back at him. "I'll move on my own and it won't take long. I'll probably finish the tour in a minute or two." He added before breaking away from the group.
He had been a bankrupt person in his previous life and could not afford even the cheapest new car. On many occasions, he often failed to raise enough money to meet his basic needs. But after playing a few games for Rosenborg in her new life, she was able to buy a new car that she had only dreamed of in her previous life. He could not hold his breath, feeling that everything before him was so real.
He quickly finished the tour and will return to his group. But, he turned around and retraced his steps after realizing that he missed a nice sporty engine parked on the far side of the showroom.
At first glance, it looks like another two-door vehicle which is a common sight in Trondheim. But upon taking a quick look, he felt that there was something more to it than that. So, he hurriedly pushed past a few others in the showroom and approached the black vehicle while slowly admiring its sleek bodywork, rims, and curves. When he was in front of her and tracing a hand over her delicate hood, cold to the touch, he immediately liked it and wanted to have it.
"Do you like what you see?" A feminine voice rang out from behind him as he still admired the machine.
Zachary turned around, and only the word "wow" repeatedly kept playing in his mind. He felt a tingling sensation slowly flowing down his spine, his heart starting to race as his eyes refocused.
A woman, not a woman, dazzling and hot like chili, stood behind him. Her hair was dark brown, falling over her shoulders undulating as if decorating her glowing porcelain-like skin. In her formal women's suit, she looked perfect, the epitome of perfection with all the curves in the right place.
For a moment, Zachary could not take his eyes off her as he felt a strong urge to attract her attention. For a second or two, he lost himself, studying his bright emerald green eyes that seemed to brighten the world.
But a moment later, he realized the fact that he was staring too much. His eyes shifted from the stunning woman's face, down to her feet, and finally to another vehicle nearby that was being sold as he tried to find something else to distract her.
"Do you like that machine?" The woman checked once more, the corners of her full-raised lips formed a charming smile. He seemed oblivious to Zachary's gaze, or if he realized it, he ignored it.
"Yes, of course," replied Zachary, switching to poker face mode. "It's good in the eyes, and I have a feeling that it's a powerful machine."
"Yes, that," said the woman, still smiling gently. "This is an Audi model**, one of our newest models from last year. As you can see, this is a two-seater convertible, easy to grip due to its highly advanced automatic manual transmission system." He recites English words with exotic accents that Zachary cannot pronounce. But, to some extent, it somehow resembles the female actors in those ancient Russian movies.
"The transmission moves smoothly and quickly, and you'll never feel turbo lag while driving" she continued. “This car has a powerful 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that generates enough power for almost any situation. Overall, the car is very responsive, with a strong throttle response and almost instant torque generated from that engine. This is the right car for any man with style."
"Oh!" that was all Zachary could manage because he was at a loss for words after hearing some new terms in the span of a few seconds.
"Do you want to take her for a test drive" the woman asked, taking a step toward the vehicle and tracing a well-groomed hand over her hood. Every move is sensual but also elegant. "I can tell you more about the car's outstanding performance during the test drive."
"Oh, not for now," replied Zachary, still in poker face mode. "I have a meeting with someone here right now. Maybe next time."
"OK, maybe next time," said the woman, her face beaming. "By the way, I'm Camilla. Camilla Schneider's. It's nice to meet you." He added, extending his hand.
"Zachary Bemba," Zachary replied, finally smiling. "The pleasure is mine. So, do you work here?" She asked.
"That's how it is" replied Camilla. "This is my business card with my phone number. If you want a test drive later or in the future, feel free to look for me. I'd be happy to help because I'm a huge Rosenborg fan." He said, handing over the business card to Zachary.
"OK, I'll do it" said Zachary, receiving the business card. "Thank you for taking the time to explain to me the information about the car" he added.
"That's no big deal," said Camilla, waving with disdain. "It's my job to help our customers. You may have to go to your meeting. Good luck to you." He added and immediately started moving on, perhaps to deal with some other customers.
Zachary first glanced over his shoulder, his eyes mesmerized by the woman's slow swaying of her hip as he walked away. "Well, that's pretty weird," he murmured before focusing on the business card in his hand once again. On it are the names of Camilla, phone numbers, addresses, and the words "Audi Marketing Team and Muller Bil, Norway" in plain letters.
"What's so weird?" Another voice interrupted him.
"Just speak for yourself," replied Zachary, hurriedly stuffing the business card into his jacket pocket. He then turned to face the approaching Emily. "You're also doing a showroom tour?" He asked, wanting to shift the topic.
"No" replied Emilia. "I just came looking for you. Have you finished your tour? Should we go and meet with the Audi guys?"
"Okay, let's go" replied Zachary, smiling at him.
