The Heavenly Tiger Swordsman

The Heavenly Tiger Swordsman
Entering the City

Hao Zhao had just arrived at the nearest city at that time, where the day had touched the night which meant that it had been all day Hao Zhao continued to move nonstop until he finally managed to get there.

“City of Dahan Autumn?" muttered Hao Zhao, trying to ascertain if it was really the city that the bandits were referring to earlier.

Hao Zhao had indeed managed to get quite a lot of information from the bandits interrogated by him, including the fact that the bandit group turned out to be supported by the power of the city lord Dahan Gugur.

The main headquarters of the bandits themselves had Hao Zhao know there was not far from the city, making Hao Zhao decide to first visit the city.

Hao Zhao had a plan to first clear up the city lord, so that what he would do would be smoother and not have much interference.

Each city is usually taken care of by a noble family, where if Hao Zhao immediately cleaned up the bandits then he would not have time to silence the nobles in the Dahan Gugur city.

Where if that happened, it was not impossible that he would become an imperial fugitive that Hao Zhao obviously did not want that to happen.

“If this Empire is still the same as the one I know maybe I will not hesitate at all, but the empire two hundred years after? I mustn't be careless," Hao Zhao muttered as he shook his head slowly.

Not daring to think of Hao Zhao, it had already developed to what extent the empire he had known before. Remembering two hundred years is not a short time, though, Hao Zhao would not even be surprised if it turned out that the empire now had many top-tier warriors who might have equivalent strength or could be stronger than him.

“Not to mention now that resources are not as rare as that, this must have affected the martial world as well as the level that can be achieved by the swordsman," said Hao Zhao slowly, still so cool with his own mind.

“Hey, stop there. Don't even think of cutting the queue like that!" exclaimed one of the city guards, when he saw Hao Zhao who stepped in did not match the entrance queue of the gate.

Hao Zhao only realized from his daydream when the guard's call was heard, where Hao Zhao only realized that to enter the city must first queue himself in order with the others.

“Number of people who want to enter this city? I don't remember any town like this two hundred years ago." Hao Zhao who was after had to wait for quite a while until he had a chance to be examined by the city guards.

There were about two city guards back then who were in charge of inspecting everyone who wanted to enter, where one of them was the same guard that reprimanded Hao Zhao earlier.

“Hey, Son. Next time never try to cut the queue again, you think just because you have a lot of money can you do anything at will?" The guard rebuked Hao Zhao once again, though not too loudly as the guard realized how Hao Zhao looked.

The luxurious robe followed the noble-looking face, which was because of this even though the guard was annoyed by Hao Zhao's actions. Didn't dare that guard to trouble him any further.

“I'm sorry, before I didn't pay attention to my steps." Hao Zhao answered as he could, lazily arguing as well not wanting to be made difficult to enter by the guard.

“Have it, forget it. Now can I see your identity card?" The guard raised his hand.

Hao Zhao heard it immediately tried to search in his pocket the identity card in intent, where this kind of card was something the imperial residents should have as an identifier.

“At last I'll see you." Hao Zhao before handing over his identity card.

The city guards immediately received the card that Hao Zhao gave, before surprisingly forehead questioning what exactly card Hao Zhao gave.

“Hey, are you out of your mind? What card did you give me?" The guard with an annoyed face, never thought a younger generation like Hao Zhao would dare to try to play him like that.

“Hey son, are you trying to play me?" asked the guard once more when Hao Zhao was just silent.

“Making what? You asked for my identity card and I gave it to you, where's my fault?" Hao Zhao was quite confused.

“Son, rather than testing the limits of my patience like this you better tell me from a distinguished family or noble family where you come from." The guard continued to try to contain his anger, still holding the suspicion that Hao Zhao was not from an ordinary family.

Hao Zhao was asked something like that of course immediately shook his head slowly, not thinking he could answer because he was indeed not part of any noble family.

The city guard frowned looking at Hao Zhao's head, before his expression turned worse and said, “Then are you part of a sect?'

Hao Zhao again shook his head slowly, making the city guards immediately touch the peak of his patience limit.

“Where are you from? I'm asking for an ID card you don't have, I'm asking you if you don't want to answer. I told you to stop trying to test the limits of my patience!" exclaimed the city guards looked carelessly over Hao Zhao.

“Calm down, what I gave you is my ID card. Why are you angry like this?" Hao Zhao began to question the actions of the city guards who he thought were so self-absorbed.

“What? You think I can't see or anything so I can't tell which one is real and which isn't?" The city guards started taking out their Identity cards as an example to show Hao Zhao.

Hao Zhao noticed a quite striking difference between his Identity card and what the city guards showed immediately frowned, before patting his forehead remembering that everything that existed now was so different.

“This Identity card was two hundred years ago," murmured Hao Zhao, beginning to understand why the city guards seemed so upset at him.

“Hey son, if you still do not want to tell your origin or show your identity card you better get out of here. Because of you those who want to enter the city become obstructed, so stop just getting here." The city guards allowed Hao Zhao to step aside so as not to hinder the queue.

Hao Zhao whose original purpose came was to enter the city certainly did not just comply with the request of the city guards, feeling more wasted time according to him to come back later when it was actually possible.

Hao Zhao immediately recalled what he used to do when something like that happened, where had already reached into the pocket of his robe Hao Zhao before taking out a sizable coin pouch containing coins that came from within his s.p.a.ce ring.

The city guards saw that immediately in shock, don't think a cloak pocket can hold a bag of cloth containing so many coins that it feels strange to also wonder where the big bag containing the coins came from.

“I gave you this, so can I come in?" ask Hao Zhao.

The expression on the city guard's face right after Hao Zhao's remark immediately turned happy, where the guard smiled widely before receiving the large bag of coins.

“You're pretty good, son. Now come on in." The city guards let Hao Zhao in while opening the gate, seeming unwilling to bother to check the number of coins he got for being so sure that the contents of the pouch that Hao Zhao gave would not disappoint.

Hao Zhao just stepped in to enter the city not paying the slightest attention to the various kinds of praise that suddenly kept the city guards hurling, saying, even the offer for an escort though did not Hao Zhao care at all to understand what kind of person the city guards were.

“Nothing has changed, it remains the same," Hao Zhao muttered as he shook his head slowly, never thinking there would still be such a guard in his lifetime now.
