Hao Zhao had just entered his inn building before the damp air was also stuffy himself, he felt, there wasn't much light inside the inn, the only one coming from the reception desk that no one was there.
“Excuse me, can I stay the night?" Hao Zhao after arriving in front of the table.
Silence, that was what felt because no one responded to Hao Zhao's words.
Hao Zhao did not give up on saying the same thing a few more times even though it remained the same as before, no one responded to his words.
Hao Zhao immediately glanced towards the door of the room near the reception desk, there was someone indeed behind his door who for some reason seemed reluctant to respond to Hao Zhao.
“Ehemm, can you stop paying attention like I'm not here? I know you're there, so please come out" said Hao Zhao, who opened the door shortly.
A young lady in makeshift clothes appeared from there, with a gloomy facial expression the young lady finally approached Hao Zhao despite all doubts.
Hao Zhao raised his eyebrows seeing this, not understanding himself why the woman was such a nervous person to talk to him.
“Ka— we do not accept guests, so please leave here immediately," said the young woman stammered.
Hao Zhao briefly looked at the young lady before him before saying, “Is this still related to how the villagers continue to pay attention to my movements when I arrive in this village?"
The young lady was startled, a moment after which she started to turn around before stepping back into her room.
“So, that's right?" hao Zhao asked as the new young lady put her hand on the doorknob to open it.
“Master, I know you're not stupid. You also must have guessed something strange with this village, so just go and don't be stubborn." The young woman with a long sigh that sounded after her.
Hao Zhao just wanted to stop the young lady from entering his room when someone appeared from the entrance of the inn, the old lady who just to walk around needed a log as a refutation, she said, that was what Hao Zhao caught after seeing it faintly.
“Grandma." The young lady who had just wanted to enter the room broke her intention, choosing to walk quickly to approach the old lady before hiding behind her.
The old lady noticed her granddaughter's unusual expression immediately staring at Hao Zhao coldly, after which walked slowly to approach Hao Zhao with her grandson who kept tailing.
“Who?" The old lady looked at Hao Zhao full of probing.
“I'm just someone who happens to pass by," Hao Zhao said truthfully.
“If you want to stay then just undo your intention, this inn does not accept guests," said the old lady with an unfriendly tone.
Hao Zhao who had entered the village from the beginning already had suspicions that something was wrong was happening in the village of course became more curious, related to what the reason the villagers are so wary of him is also why the grandmother and granddaughter of the inn owner are reluctant to accept outsiders.
“Is there anything going on in this village?" hao Zhao asked the new grandmother and granddaughter who wanted to enter the room near the reception desk.
“Master, haven't I told you not to be stubborn? Just get out of this village and don't meddle too far in things you shouldn't be fighting about" said the young woman, who still hides behind her grandmother when she said it all.
Hao Zhao was silent at the thought of something, as long as the grandmother and granddaughter of the innkeeper were undoing the intention to enter the room as if they did not want to leave Hao Zhao alone in their inn.
“Your words regarding me being able to leave here so as not to get involved I consider as good intentions, even so I refuse to accept that good intentions. So, can I find out what's going on in this village that makes the villagers seem so wary of outsiders like me?" asked Hao Zhao who couldn't get rid of his curiosity.
The new young lady wanted to babble to scold Hao Zhao when the old lady quickly stopped her.
“Prepare a drink for this Master," said the old lady.
“Teta—"
“Do it," cut old women fast.
The young woman was ultimately only able to do what her grandmother had told her to do, entering the room near the reception desk which turned out to be the kitchen, immediately came out the young lady with a cup of warm tea in her hand to serve to Hao Zhao.
Hao Zhao was already sitting opposite the old woman when the tea came, as long as the drink waited it was also just a silence that was felt because the old woman before Hao Zhao was just silent.
Hao Zhao only drank the tea a little as a form of respect, not too good to taste because the tea leaves used like it had passed the specified time limit.
“Sorry, if not too fast. Because that's all we have," said the old lady suddenly.
“Oh, it's okay. It's quite delicious" Hao Zhao said as he put a cup on the table.
Hao Zhao immediately looked at the old lady for not long before saying, “Keeping aside his pleasantries, is there anything you want to convey regarding this village?"
The old lady let out a long sigh, accompanied by her granddaughter who continued to forbid her from saying anything to Hao Zhao, the old lady finally spoke.
Hao Zhao only listened carefully, occasionally raising his eyebrows in surprise until the old woman finally finished with her explanation.
“That's all you want to know, so can you get out of here now?" ask the old lady afterwards.
Hao Zhao only looked at the old woman full of question marks, after conveying the problem that was happening in the village now asking herself to leave was certainly quite strange according to Hao Zhao.
“I refused because the purpose of my arrival here was to stay overnight" Hao Zhao said.
“See, Grandma? This guy is stubborn, thinking can make him go away just by saying what he wants to know is clearly useless," said the young woman ketus.
The old lady only let out a long sigh, after which took out quite a number of keys from her clothes which one of them was given to Hao Zhao.
“Stay then, one thing you need to know is that I don't want to feel guilty if anything bad happens to you" said the old lady.
The young lady saw her grandmother agreeing to Hao Zhao's request immediately expressing her disapproval, clearly knowing herself already how many stubborn people like Hao Zhao had to disappear due to something similar.
“Don't mind my grandson, he is very very very rare to meet special outsiders who are the same age as him let alone as handsome as you. Consider it normal if he is afraid of something bad happening to you," said the old woman before stepping into the kitchen.
“Nek, don't say anything unclear," said the young woman who shortly after walked quickly to follow did not want to feel embarrassed.
Hao Zhao only leaned his body on the back of the chair that was part of his grandmother and grandson, staring at the outside of the inn immediately grinned a little at him.
“Everyone who wants to help this village problem will almost certainly disappear somewhere .. obviously I will not be one of them," murmured Hao Zhao with a smirk on his widened face.
