The House of Jennifer
Beginning Story

Jennifer's having breakfast with Grace. The two are constantly talking about marriage. Grace is the sister of Jennifer's mother, aka the aunt of the woman. Since Jennifer's mother ran away with the man she loved, Jennifer's relationship with her mother has become tenuous.

Only Grace can be used as a refuge for Jennifer. Grace was not only a aunt to Jennifer, but she was like a friend to her. Grace is single at the age of three. Jennifer is very comfortable talking to her.

When Jennifer was pregnant, only Grace was always by her side, supporting and empowering her. Jennifer gave birth to a beautiful baby named Velly Lawrence. But pregnancy until the birth of her baby remains a secret that she has kept until now.

...ΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩ...

"You sure you want to marry that guy?" grace asked in disbelief.

The woman did not believe in the decision of her nephew who suddenly wanted to marry his own superior.

Jennifer just nodded her head lazily. How many times has that question been asked by her aunt that left Jennifer at a loss for words.

"You're crazy Jenny. How can you marry a man who..."

"Stop aunty.." sergeant Jennifer, "this is my decision" he added.

Grace let out a long sigh, the woman again shook her head.

"I know you can't forget that guy. I know you love her very much. But you made Jenny's mistake. You've been keeping your baby a secret. The real baby is..."

"Tante.. I beg you. My baby will remain a secret" Jennifer said.

"What if the man finally finds out? What if he can't take it?" ask Grace.

"Then I'll go away from him. I'll go as far as I can with my daughter. I'm risking my luck tan."

"Oh my God, you're completely out of common sense."

"That wedding's aunty tomorrow, I can't back down anymore."

As Grace choked on hearing her nephew's words, the woman immediately downed the white water that was in front of her before she died from her homemade sandwich.

"Tomorrow? Why did you just tell me about Jenny's time? Oh, my God, you keep surprising me" said Grace.

Jennifer actually chuckled amusedly to see her aunt who increasingly issued horns over her decision to get married.

"How can I tell you about the time, my aunt always cuts me off when she finds out who the man I want to marry is" Jennifer said.

"You want to get into the lion's den, how can I not be worried?"

"Auntie exaggerated. Jo's not a man as fierce as a lion. As long as I worked with him, he never..."

"Keep defending him," said Grace, "he's a bad man, if he's a good man, he can't possibly forget the night you and..."

Grace instantly stopped her own words when she saw the sad facial expression of her nephew.

"Oh dear.I'm sorry I didn't mean to open your old wounds" said Grace regretting her words.

"Jonathan Carlos lost his memory after the accident that night. I can't blame him. I also accepted my fate. The presence of Velly in my life is a gift given by God. Aunt, I'm ready to accept the consequences of all this."

"You are stubborn. Whatever I say, you won't listen. But Jenny, I don't want to see you suffer. Because you want to marry that guy, tell him the truth before it's too late."

"I'll definitely say it, but not now. Jo still can't remember anything. If I force her the same way I add to her suffering."

"When do you think of yourself? You've always been like this when it comes to that man."

"Tante Grace. I beg you not to force me" Jennifer asked.

Grace let out a long sigh, "if you suffer, then come back to me. The door of this house will always be open for you. And as for Velly, temporarily let him be with me until it's time."

Jennifer nodded her head, she was so grateful to Grace for always helping her under any circumstances.

"Your wedding was a sudden impression. Is the preparation done?" ask Grace.

Jennifer nodded again, "this wedding has been planned since last month. All the preparations were arranged by Jo. I'm just being the bride."

Grace frowned, "how could you just sit sweetly without any preparation. Jenny... Did Jo propose to you for loving you?"

Jennifer's body stiffened, of course there was no application let alone an expression of love from Jonathan Carlos.

...###FLASH BACK ON###...

JC company is very busy, the day of the work meeting is endless. Neither Jonathan Carlos as superior nor Jennifer as his secretary had time to rest.

On that exhausting day, Jonathan ended up staying with Jennifer in the meeting room.

"Jenny's good work" Jonathan said.

"You too," replied Jennifer flatly.

"Thank you for coming back after taking six months off. If you don't go back to this company, I don't know where else to find the best secretary like you. For six months you've been absent, I've changed secretaries 5 times."

Jennifer commented on her smile, Jonathan's words had been conveyed to her several times. But the man kept repeating it.

"We're past lunchtime. Will you eat with me?" ask Jonathan.

Jennifer looked at the handsome man. The man she secretly loved for five more years. A man who is sometimes arrogant and very stubborn, but that's his charm for Jennifer.

"Why are you staring at me?" jonathan asked Jennifer.

"All right" replied Jennifer.

Jonathan smiled widely, the man got up from his seat, leaving all the files on the table. That's his bad habit of always relying on Jennifer as his secretary.

Jennifer moved from her seat, the woman immediately cleaned up all the files on the table and followed Jonathan out of the meeting room.

After putting the files on her desk, Jennifer immediately followed her boss out of the company to Jonathan's restaurant subscription not far from there.

As usual, Jonathan was the one who arranged everything including food. The man never once asked Jennifer what food she liked. Wherever they meet clients outside the company, if the time to eat then Jennifer can only follow the wishes of her boss.

Half an hour had passed, by the time the dessert arrived. Jonathan finally started talking to Jennifer again.

"Do you have a boyfriend?" jonathan asked surprisingly.

Jennifer shook her head quickly.

"Good," added Jonathan.

"Good?" jennifer asked confusedly.

Jonathan downed his drink, the man looked at Jennifer seriously.

"Jenny, marry me next month" Jonathan said.

Jennifer was wide-eyed, what kind of request was that. Suddenly Jonathan got her married.

"You don't have to think about the preparation, you're just enough to be my bride. I think you'll agree to it" Jonathan continued in his arrogance.

And so foolishly Jennifer nodded her head. Like being hypnotized, Jennifer simply could not refuse Jonathan's request or at least ask him the reason the man wanted to marry her.

...###FLASH BACK OFF###...

...ΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩ...

"Oh my God, don't tell me that man didn't propose to you or express his feelings. What is the purpose of you wanting to get married? Jennifer Lawrence, you're not your mother who became a fool out of love" Grace said.

"Maybe I'm a fool, but don't equate me with that crazy woman" Jennifer said, slamming a fork on her plate.

Grace is again sorry for bringing up the problem of Jennifer's mother who is hated so much. The loud clang of the fork actually woke Velly who was asleep at the push of her baby.

Velly cried loudly, as Jennifer got up from her seat to where her daughter was. The woman immediately lifted the tiny body and held it gently. Jennifer tried to calm her daughter back down.

"Sorry.." said Grace.

"It's okay aunt. I'm the one who should be apologizing. I don't know why I married Jonathan. When he asked me to get married, I just agreed without thinking. Maybe because all this time I was hoping that man could be mine. Auntie's right, I'm a fool."

Grace moved out of her seat and approached Jennifer. She hugged Jennifer from behind.

"I'll support whatever your decision is because you and Velly are my favorites."

"Thank you aunt, I love you too" replied Jennifer.
