What Jonathan had just heard was enough to shock him. The wife he chose, the woman who looked innocent, turned out to be a mother. The woman already had a child and the fact reminded Jonathan of a scar on his wife's abdomen, it was a caesarean section rather than an appendectomy. Jennifer lied to her constantly.

With eyes that flashed with lightning, Jonathan watched his wife. Jennifer still stroked both of her arms that she had clutched earlier.

"You're really shameless and very cunning, you're a fraud and a liar. You covered up all these stories to get married to me, you know if you told me everything in the first place, I would never marry you" Jonathan said.

"Maybe I did lie to you by covering up all this truth, but I didn't deceive you at all or be sneaky by making up stories. I didn't use our marriage at all to hold you responsible for my baby's presence. What I'm telling you now, that's the truth. Velly is indeed your daughter Jo" Jennifer replied.

The woman no longer knew how to explain everything to Jonathan, she had run out of ways to make Jonathan believe her story.

"Well, I'll take your story for now. But that doesn't mean I'll admit your baby as my son before I can prove it clearly. Have you ever heard of a DNA test?"

Jennifer was wide-eyed, the woman was so hurt that she had a DNA test that Jonathan didn't believe her, just as Jonathan accused her of having a relationship with another man.

"That's very unnecessary, I don't need your confession, let alone having to prove it. I'm just telling you what you want to hear, maybe it's better forever this is my secret" Jennifer replied.

Jonathan let go of his laughter, "are you afraid that your lies will be exposed? I hope you don't take this crazy story to court, you'll be laughed at by Jenny."

"Pe..pe...the court?" jennifer asked stammered, "what do you mean?" tanyakanya.

"Do I need to say it clearly? you're so smart, you know what I mean. Of course the court for us to divorce, and I don't want you to take your daughter as an excuse to oppose her."

Jennifer's body trembled, on their first night, after they had made love twice, the word divorce came out of her husband's mouth.

"I know you're very surprised by my story Jo, but should you be cruel on our first night?" jennifer asked, tears coming out.

"Of course I was surprised. You, your daughter and your other family conspired to lie to me. You said I was cruel? aren't you the crueler to me? after you lied to me, you also made up a story that actually took me inside your lie. Disgusting.." scorned Jonathan.

Jennifer let go of her crying out loud, disgusting words hurt her more than divorce.

"Tante Grace is not at all wrong in this matter. I was the one who asked her to help me become the mother of my own daughter. All this I've done to protect your reputation as a Carlos."

"Huh...? protect me...?" jonathan said to his eyes glistening with rage, "you even forced me to confess to your bastard son, you said you wanted to protect my reputation? you really are Jenny's best actress. When I asked you to get married, you should have told me the truth" he added.

"I don't know if it's going to be like this. When you asked me to get married, all I thought about was wanting to be with you. Cause the truth is I've loved you Jo."

"Ckckck. I just realized, you're wearing oversized clothes at work because you're covering up your pregnancy. You asked for six months off, turned out you were on maternity leave. God, why would I be fooled by a woman like you."

"I'm disgusting? you desecrated me, made me pregnant, let me give birth alone, you said I was disgusting? Jonathan Carlos. If we want a divorce, then just divorce. But never insult me, and one more never mention my daughter as an illegitimate child. I love her more than my own life, after all" Jennifer said emotionally.

The woman turned her body around wanting to leave Jonathan, but at once the man held her hand.

"You've been making up stories so far, Jenny, I'm going to keep doing DNA tests on your daughter" Jonathan said.

Jennifer let go of her hand violently, "it's an insult to me, the only man I've ever slept with is you. If you don't want to accept it, then you don't have to. I can live with Velly without any help from anyone."

"Don't be stubborn, I just want to prove it."

"No need."

Jennifer continued her steps, Jonathan held her back but this time the man pulled her head and rained down the rough ciu man. Jennifer flung her hand back to the man's cheek loudly.

Jonathan's emotions were reeling, the man raised his hand and almost returned the slap. But Jonathan clenched his hand and cursed loudly. It was precisely this man who left Jennifer in her study. The man slammed the door of his study hard making Jennifer gasp. The woman slumped to the floor and let go of her cries.

"Oh my God, what should I do? I was wrong to lie to her, I was wrong to hide Velly from her, but I did this because she couldn't remember anything about what happened that night. I don't want to force his memory, I don't want to bother him when he's with his new girlfriend. My heart really hurt back then, but I could only hold it. When he asked me to marry, I believed this was your destiny. I want to correct my mistake by telling Jonathan the truth. But I don't expect this secret to be revealed so quickly. I didn't expect to be a widow on our wedding night" Jennifer muttered between tears.

Jennifer keeps pounding her own chest. The tightness and pain of his heart were increasingly felt when he remembered the words that came out of Jonathan's mouth earlier. He didn't expect Jonathan to insult him like that after the two spent their hot night.

"You're the bad guy Jo. One year I endured this pain myself, when I told you the truth, you hurt me even more. I don't even know why you're asking me to get married. Why am I so foolish as to take your invitation for granted" Jennifer murmured again.

Jennifer cries in Jonathan's study while wrestling with her own thoughts. The only way she can calm herself down is to return to Grace's house and meet her daughter.

Jennifer got up from the floor, the woman came out of the room after calming down. When out of there, no residents of the Villa were seen. Of course they all rested because the night was getting late.

Even the signs of the existence of Jonathan was not adalagi. I don't know where the man went after venting his emotions. Jennifer immediately headed to the bridal chamber again. Sadly the woman stared at their wedding bed. The former faith is still clearly visible.

Jennifer went up to her bed again, she couldn't have gotten out of that villa in the middle of the night like this. The woman will leave after dawn. Jennifer painstakingly closed her eyes, and she was finally able to fall asleep too.
