The Lost Grandfather

"I don't want to be tied up in a political marriage!"lou Shi raised his voice.

"Stupid! Do you want Lou's residence to disappear?"minister Lou said.

"I don't care" replied Lou Shi.

Minister Lou was furious that Lou Shi's reply was a blow fended off by Lou Shi.

"I appreciate you as my father, but you risked your son's life just for your position" Lou Shi said, holding back his anger from the muscle strokes on his neck.

Lou Shi left Minister Lou to quell his boiling anger. His body was completely submerged in cold water but the muscle strokes were still clearly visible on his face.

"If he wasn't the Emperor, I would have killed him right then and there" Lou Shi muttered.

Lou Shi recalled that Emperor Jiang Zhi had dozens of concubines and one Empress who had never changed since he ascended the throne.

"Hua Lin.." Lou Shi growled.

Hua Lin is one of 3 children born from the womb of the Empress and the only daughter born from the womb of the Empress.

"Constructing Hua Lin's position in the stability of the Empress' position? That's naive, ' said Lou Shi.

Lou Shi picked up his robe preparing to leave, the sight of the lanterns looking lively even though it was late at night approaching the early hours of the morning.

Lou Shi walked without direction until he took her to the slums of the capital. His steps stopped looking at the alley with a place that did not show the bright side of the capital.

Lou Shi looked at the end of the alley with simpler-looking lanterns, stepping foot into the slums of the capital. All the houses looked as makeshift as the doors that had been tightly shut, Lou Shi did not feel any disgust though.

One of the doors of the house of the residents opened which was none other than Lin Huang.

"Why are you here?"asked Lin Huang while eating a bowl of noodles.

"You're not as formal as the first time we met?"ask Lou Shi.

"I'm being lazy to be kind, if young master Lou doesn't like my welcome, please leave," Lin Huang replied smiling.

"I'm kidding," said Lou Shi shaking his hand.

"Young master like you why aren't you with your family members?"asked Lin Huang.

"I'm lazy with them" replied Lou Shi.

They chatted like old friends until Lou Shi bailed to leave. Lin Huang ushered all the way to the front door seeing Lou Shi's departure.

"Happy new year for the older brother-in-law." said someone greeting Lou Shi.

Lou Shi turned his head back, since upon his return to the sect made the beautiful girls surround him every day.

"Thank you for what Miss Xin Yu said" Lou Shi replied.

Xin Yu smiled sweetly hearing a reply from Lou Shi. Her position as the daughter of the sect leader made her name respected by anyone in the sect. The Xin family ruled for hundreds of years with the sect growing stronger and larger by the year.

Lou Shi felt tired when he met Xin Yu, other than he was uneasy about her existence, the men in the sect looked darkly at him.

"Dad wants to talk to Lou Shi's sister," Xin Yu said.

Lou Shi nodded his head following Xin Yu carrying him away. The pavilion located at the top of the mountain where the sect head lived was located.

"Dad, I brought Lou's sister," Xin Yu said.

The door opened, Lou Shi and Xin Yu entered the room.

"Greetings to the sect leader" Lou Shi said.

The sect head sat on the leader's chair while drinking hot tea visible from the steaming smoke.

"Sit down,"command the sect leader.

Lou Shi sat down while Xin Yu exited the room after seeing the code from his father. The teacup floated towards Lou Shi from the sect head's desk.

"Drink,"command the sect leader.

"When was your maturation ceremony performed?"ask the sect leader.

"Murid does not know yet, father told after the new year will be done the ceremony of maturity but not yet the date" replied Lou Shi.

"I heard the Emperor is after you," said the sect head.

Lou Shi who was holding a teacup was about to drink it back he put it on the table.

"What the teacher said is true" replied Lou Shi.

"If I help you escape the Emperor's snare, what will you do in return?"ask the sect leader.

"The Xin family has never been separated from profits"

"I mean teacher?"ask Lou Shi.

"I want to match you up with Yun'er," the sect head said.

"Yuan Ming.." - Inner Lou Shi growled.

"The emperor will destroy the sect if the teacher protects me" replied Lou Shi.

"Your mind is broad. I will find a way, Ancestor Emperor owes the sect," said the sect head.

"Murid understood," replied Lou Shi leaving the room of the sect leader.

Lou Shi runs into Xin Yu who wants to mask into her father's room. Xin Yu smiled at Lou Shi who replied with a smile.

Lou Shi changed his amiable expression when there was no one in the sect head pavilion. His hands clenched in hatred for the sect chief who wanted to match up his daughter.

Lou Shi left the mountain top wandering before his maturity ceremony. Various royal territories under the Wu dynasty he visited to the very end of the Wu dynasty which entered into the territory of the king of the Wu dynasty. An arid region with barren land and rain that only falls once every year.

"The woeful territory of the Wu dynasty" Lou Shi said.

The area is almost as large as the capital, but the arid natural conditions make it uninhabitable for living things.

Lou Shi walked alone in the hot sun. The wind mixed with dust blew on him.

"You have special blood from your mother's grandfather line, find your grandfather when you're deadlocked"

Lou Shi remembered his mother's words that she had special blood. Lou Shi's steps came to a halt when he recalled his mother's mysterious background.

"Mother?"said Lou Shi.

Lou Shi was unaware that every step he took, his qi energy was sucked into the ground mysteriously. Lou Shi realized that something strange had happened to his body but it was too late. His body felt limp along with a blurry look. Lou Shi fell unconscious in the middle of the cursed territory alone.

The dust swarm surrounding Lou Shi along with the ground slowly cracked wider and Lou Shi's body fell into the ground.

"Didn't you want to wake up?"ask someone.

Lou Shi heard a foreign voice trying to get up to see who was speaking. An old man with a gallant body was standing in front of him wearing clothes like armor of war.

"I waited for you all these years," he said, resuscitating Lou Shi.

Lou Shi was wary of the person in front of him. An aged man with slightly whitened hair spoke as if to a grandson himself.

"I'm your mother's father which means your grandfather" she explained to Lou Shi.

"Grandfather?"lou Shi asked doubtfully.

"I am Dan Yi or known as the king of Jin. You know your mother is surnamed Jin but there is no family surnamed Jin other than your mother" Dan Yi said.

Lou Shi opened his memories back where he saw or heard about king Jin.

"You're king Jin? My grandpa?"lou Shi asked to make sure.

And Yi nodded her head telling Lou Shi to sit on the chair before telling her about the events of yore.

"Sit down, I'll tell you what happened a long time ago, arguably the legend of the Wu dynasty"
