Chapter 22. Search Feilong Plates

"Where's the Feilong Plate?" Zhou Yicheng's voice was rising. His gaze was sharp like a sword ready to hit Li Shu and Liu Yifei. He had been overwhelmed with anger because the thing he wanted was not in the box.

If there was no Zhao Kingdom law, perhaps Zhou Yicheng had already killed Li Shu and Liu Yifei to assuage his anger. He said again loudly. "Do you want to play me?"

Li Shu and Liu Yifei could not help but feel shivering in the face of Zhou Yicheng's anger. Although Zhou Yicheng could not charge them to court officially because of this matter, it did not mean that they would be free just like that. Zhou Yicheng would certainly make the calculations towards the mother and child pair. He would not let them off easily after being played with.

"Your Majesty, we really don't know why the box is empty. Previously the Feilong Plate was in the box and no one had ever opened it," Li Shu replied fearfully.

"Miss Li, am I a child you fool so easily?" Zhou Yicheng's voice sounded cold. He looked at Li Shu with burning copper-like eyes.

Li Shu tried to assuage Zhou Yicheng's anger. "Your Majesty, please don't be angry. We'll look for it soon and after we meet we'll give it to you."

"Make sure to find it! If not, prepare yourself to take vengeance from me!" After saying that Zhou Yicheng immediately turned to leave. However, only a few steps did Liu Yifei hold him back.

Liu Yifei with a hint of courage held onto Zhou Yicheng's arm. He said, "Your Majesty, what about our marriage? We haven't talked about it much further."

"You still dare to talk about marriage with me?" Zhou Yicheng looked at Liu Yifei with a pushy gaze making the girl's face turn deathly pale. "If there's no Feilong Plate don't expect the wedding to happen!"

Zhou Yicheng swung his hand, then left behind Liu Yifei and Li Shu. His steps were long as he walked down the courtyard towards the main door of the residence. All the subordinates that the first prince brought were just silently following behind him. They did not dare to say a word, too afraid to see Zhou Yicheng's anger.

Secretly a guard noticed Zhou Yicheng's departure. Then he went to report the matter to Liu Qingqing.

The disappearance of the Feilong Plate drew the anger of Li Shu and Liu Yifei. But it also confuses them. How could it suddenly disappear mysteriously?

All the servants and guards of the residence were gathered in the open courtyard. Bai Liu Qingqing was no exception. They glanced at each other with a question that seemed obvious on everyone's face. But no one dared to ask what they were called.

Seeing the unexpected sight in the time leading up to night, Liu Qingqing decided to exit the room. He leaned against the door frame while looking at everyone. "Why are you gathered there?"

Bai Liu replied, "Miss, Big Madam asked us to gather here. But, for that reason we all don't understand."

"If there's nothing important, you better disperse and do a much more useful job!" liu Qingqing's orders. "I pay you not to do such a foolish thing!"

Again everyone just looked at each other in confusion. However, they eventually chose to disband. Just a few steps they had already been stopped by Li Shu's warning.

Li Shu exclaimed, "Who told you to leave? If you dare to go any further, I will not hesitate to punish you!"

Soon everyone stopped.

"Get back together and listen to my mother!" liu Yifei's orders. He came with his hands folded in front of his chest. "Liu Qingqing, you should also listen!"

"Huft, who are you to govern me?" Liu Qingqing snorted coldly.

"Liu Qingqing, this is a serious matter! You should also refrain from listening to my words!" Li Shu displayed a serious expression.

"Quick say! What is so important that everyone is gathered there?"

It was not Liu Qingqing's mere wish, but it was everyone's curiosity.

"The Feilong plate is gone!" Li Shu finally opened his voice loudly. There was not a hint of pretence in his countenance.

Everyone was shocked to hear the news.

"We also don't understand why it can be lost. When I took it from Mother's secret room, it was no longer in the storage box" Liu Yifei replied.

"Then, why did you take that thing out?" liu Qingqing asked in anger.

Liu Yifei did not immediately reply. He did not know how to explain about his agreement with Zhou Yicheng. The girl slightly narrowed her eyes towards Li Shu, asking for help for the word called 'Defense'.

Li Shu clearly understood the intent of his daughter. He exclaimed once more. "Liu Qingqing, for what problem did we take out the Feilong Plate you don't need to know! Now all we need to do is find that thing bye!"

A cold winter reply came out from Liu Qingqing's lips. "Li Shu, the Feilong Plate is a relic of the ancestor of the Liu Family. How can you prevent me from asking about the root of the problem? I, as the second daughter, have the right to this!"

"But now the stuff is gone! Do we still need to argue here?" Li Shu stared intently at Liu Qingqing. "Better think of a way to find it!"

Although Liu Qingqing was furious towards Li Shu and Liu Yifei, but she eventually relented. He no longer questioned the reason for the Feilong Plate's exit from the secret room. As General Liu's second daughter, she was obliged to find that thing by the time she met.

Liu Qingqing walked towards the courtyard, then stood in front of everyone. He gave strict instructions. "All listen to my arrangements! I'll check every room in the residence. As long as the examination has not been completed, everyone is not allowed to leave here!"

Everyone just nodded with a face filled with fear.

"You guys come with me and check out this entire residence!" Liu Qingqing pointed at the five people. They were servants who the other day accompanied him to the tomb of his parents. Then the woman's gaze turned towards Bai Liu. "Liu'er, you keep an eye on everyone here with Liu Yifei!"

"Why should I?" liu Yifei asked, "i don't want to be here. I'm going to go lookin' with Mom!"

"Liu Yifei, in this kind of situation you can still behave like a child! How old are you now?" the Liu Qingqing. The corner of his mouth raised carrying a mocking smile. "If you were here, they wouldn't dare to go even just to step foot an inch away!"

"But, still I don't want to just stand here to watch over them!" Liu Yifei still rejected Liu Qingqing's arrangement. He looked at his mother with a parched expression. "Mom, I don't want to be here. I want to go with Mom!"

"Ah Yifei, you better listen to Liu Qingqing. What he said has a point too. Let Mother and Liu Qingqing inspect the entire residence" Li Shi said. This time he agreed with Liu Qingqing.

Although reluctant, but Liu Yifei ended up just following. He listened to Li Shu's words to watch over all the servants in the open courtyard.

Liu Qingqing and Li Shu along with the five male servants began to inspect the Liu Residence. They started from Li Shu's room, then moved to Liu Yifei's room, continued to Liu Qingqing's room, and passed to the other rooms.

This night felt so long for the residents of the Liu Residence as well as for Zhou Yicheng. After his return from General Liu Anren's residence, he locked himself in a room. Someone had been asked to call Guan Zhong so that the middle-aged man was with him right now.

"Mr Guan, what do you think of this matter?" ask Zhou Yicheng.

Seeing Zhou Yicheng's unsightly countenance, Guan Zhong replied with a little caution. "This matter is a little suspicious, Your Majesty. If they lie it is impossible because your offer is very profitable for them."

"So, do you think the Feilong Plate has really disappeared so?"

Guan Zhong nodded. "I think so. Not lost, but stolen!"

"stolen?" Zhou Yicheng's forehead was wrinkled. "How can it be stolen? Who stole it?"

"That's what I can't confirm. However, since Lady Li Shu said the Feilong Plate was kept in a secret room and no one had ever opened it, it meant that the thief was a person who knew every side of Liu's Residence."

Zhou Yicheng seemed to be thinking. He was silent for a moment, trying to guess who could roughly be the strongest suspect in the case of the disappearance of the Feilong Plate. After a long silence finally a name managed to come out from the mouth of the first prince.

"What is that guy A Heng?"
