Chapter 12: The Chosen Path

Outside the city of Isbel the army of knights and adventurers had prepared to fight the attack.

Soon the demon armies flying in the sky began to land their feet on the ground while looking down on us.

Next to me the man I often saw in the guild whispered to me.

"Melvin you were also forced into this fight?"

"Yes, that woman really didn't listen to my objections."

"We're lucky, even though I still have my unpaid mortgage, my wife is nine months pregnant but at least if I die they'll pay my wife money."

I pointed at him while shouting.

"You don't die, listen."

I switched to Noa.

"Hey Noa, can you raise the dead if they're killed?"

"Did you forget my abilities were completely sealed I obviously couldn't do that, but don't worry I could weaken them."

Noa walked forward like a little girl, twirled her hands and said.

It's like a little boy's coat.

Together the light enveloped the demons then instead of weakening they looked even stronger.

"What are you doing fucking?"

"I think I got the wrong spell, tae-hee."

I tied Noa up with a rope and threw her back.

"Let's not tie me to Melvin."

"Okay, you just stay there. Now we're hard against them."

"Maybe you're so worried about me because I'm going to fight in the front row."

"That's great."

Alice was ready to fight as well.

"I don't know what just now, but it feels like we're going to win" said the demon leader.

"groaning."

"Ooh."

Following Marie's shout we dashed forward, with this many numbers, this was all equivalent to a small battle.

I walked at the very back, there was someone who was almost slashed by the enemy so I pulled his collar so as not to get hurt.

I pulled my sword from my back to slash the demon into two pieces, then turned towards the other prey, they instantly died with a single slash.

"Oi don't steal my prey."

"Whispering, you just back off. Use your strength later to find a job in the guild."

"You."

Five demons flew towards me but all of them were overcome by the light arrows from Alice until they fell down easily, there are some demons that shoot fireballs but just to break through my defense that is not possible.

I'm level 999 that's the same as a top-tier cheat. I managed to defeat all of them with Alice's help and not get anyone hurt or killed.

Now that only the nerve knight commander had to lead the leader, he was even battered.

"You how can you defeat my army so easily?"

"They are too weak, then the commander fights we will return to eat now."

"Wait, why are you leaving and everyone else is too?"

"Don't worry if you die you can get money later."

Marie shed tears on her face.

"I'm sorry, but I'm in a bad situation.I'm not going to force anyone to fight."

A slash slashed at him through my slash, the demon's body split into two halves with blood spurting from his body.

"Devil is still the devil, Alice let's go."

"All right."

"Hey wait, let go of me too.."

"It's a punishment for you, Noa."

"His cruelty, you're not my slave."

"Who you call a slave."

"Commander are you okay?"

"I'm fine, I don't think I'm fit to be a commander, I think I'm going to resign."

This was the beginning of a new path they had chosen.
