Chapter 25: The Next Job

Due to the incompetence of the figure called the hero almost half of the human continent had been overrun by the demon race, among the strongest demon generals one figure had an active role named Dark Knight.

He is a creature made of Darkness and hatred that is only a heavy iron armor with a large sword as his main weapon.

With his slash, the human body was cut into pieces easily leaving a trail of flesh-and-blood carnage pouring down on the ground.

"It's boring, what is this human power.Even until now I have never met a hero, whether they are just a cowardly chicken hiding in his cage haha."

As the Dark Knight said, none of those heroes would risk to go defeat him or challenge the demon lord, they only live happily by indulging themselves with the lusts of the world.

Piling a lot of money on their hands as well as playing with women as much as they want, it is a rubbish life for some who view morals as the cornerstone of their lives.

The Dark Knight's dark lord's laughter came to a halt as his men reported something quite shocking.

"No way, the city of Isbel is just a small town and the troops I sent there have been massacred."

"Right sir, there is a strong man who lives there, from his appearance he always carries a sword on his back and is now settled in the village of the cat race."

"Whether he's another hero, if so I'll fight him myself, gather an army, we'll kill him ourselves."

"Good."

That's a fight that's going to happen in the near future.

With the availability of extensive land and well-maintained irrigation canals I had to think further about the development of the village.

I said to Arline.

"Our stock has been fulfilled because of that, Arline does not need to use your magic to grow them again we will plant in a normal way now except for urgent matters."

Arline squinted his eyes as if he did not accept what I said.

"Not so, our land is vast and if everyone is too dependent on you it will burden you even more in work or the use of magic."

"You realize that?"

"Of course, Arline has contributed a lot in the construction of this village I am really grateful and as much as possible I want to relieve it a little, I also treat others the same way because that's why I'm hiring more and more people from now on."

"I understand but if something is urgent don't hesitate to ask for it."

"I'll definitely ask for it."

Arline sat in his chair next to mine, this is the office I made for the three of us. The other seat was occupied by Vista because he was checking other work only Arline and I were in this room.

Arline opened his mouth while checking the items that had entered our storage warehouse, he was wearing glasses so his appearance looked very cute.

Once I asked him why he wears glasses when handling documents and he said that glasses help him to focus more on work.

I'm grateful it's not because he's min but just as fashion alone, Vista checks people in the field while Arline checks every item. Both have important roles.

"I don't think it out when you always ask me to level up but suddenly limit me to the use of magic."

"I was just teasing you Arline and also it was actually just an invitation to have sex."

It would feel embarrassing if I said it directly from eye to eye, I was basically also a normal guy who could think well.

Arline is the type of woman who is difficult to approach if I do not do this and acting recklessly almost impossible to make her fall in love even though dirty jokes sometimes have the opposite effect.
