Brother or A Man?

A few days after his meeting with the handsome bespectacled man in his restaurant, Sid became a little moody. He thought a lot about the question the man asked him.

Sarah, who was worried, thought her eldest son was not feeling well because of fatigue. "Sid, aren't you feeling well?"

Sid's daydream is split and he is a little nervous when answering the question from his mother. "Ah, oh, no, Mom,"

Sarah's hand touched Sid's forehead and arm and then he compared it to his own forehead to check Sid's body temperature. He repeated it several times, trying to convince himself that his only son was healthy and fine. "You tired? Carmen also seemed to be exhausted, she had not woken up since then,"

"Lately we get a lot of new customers and we always work all day, from morning to night without any holidays. Come to think of it, are we just closing today?" sarah is worried.

Sid nodded quickly, suddenly getting an idea in his mind. "Good idea, Mom. You go for a walk with the neighbor's mother. You haven't talked to them in a long time, have you? Be proud of Carmen to them, hahaha!"

Sarah's face became excited. "You're right! All right, I'm gonna put up a lid in front of our diner,"

"Me only. I'd like to take Carmen to the beach too. Since he came here, we have never welcomed him or taken him for a walk" Sid said, taking a sign that read 'Sorry, We Close. See you tomorrow' from Sarah's hand.

The spirit on Sarah's face slowly faded away. She feels guilty for hiring Angel since the first time the girl came to her restaurant. But come to think of it, they can not close the restaurant because that's where their income comes from.

"You're right, Sid. Yes, take him for a walk. My old leg can't be walked as far as you, you're the one who accompanied him. But, don't bother him!" sarah said while warning her son not to disturb Angel.

Sid nodded and he immediately got out of his chair to wake Angel who was still asleep. The purpose of the young man took Angel for a walk just to make sure the question asked by the foreign man who was always looking for Angel. In addition, she also wanted to ask Angel about her lover.

Slowly, he knocked on Angel's room door. "Carmen, it's noon! You don't want to live today?"

In the room, Angel who was still asleep heard neither the call from Sid nor the knock on the door. Sid went inside and sat on the side of the girl's bed.

Part of Angel's bangs dropped and covered her face, Sid flicked the bangs back while gently stroking her foster sister's hair.

His heart pounded as Angel's face was clearly visible before him. "It turns out, you're so pretty. It's worth it that the guy is chasing you. Hmh! Like this, I'll never let you go with that foreigner or any other guy who wants to take you away,"

Sid's whisper in front of his face wakes Angel up. He yelled and punched Sid in the face quite loudly. "Yahoo! Just go! Get away from me, you jerk!"

Sarah immediately went into the room of her adopted daughter and she was gaping to see the scene in front of her. Sid groans in pain and Angel holds his blanket while standing ready to attack. "A-, what's up? What's going on?"

Sid held his nose. "Carmen crazy. Suddenly he punched me, Mother. Look, my blood is flowing! Huaaaa, Mother!"

"Take an ice cube and don't cry! He won't punch you if you don't do anything to him, Sid!" sarah said, then she approached Angel who was holding her blanket very tightly. "Darling, are you okay?"

Seeing Sarah, Angel immediately hugged her. He was crying like a child who was afraid of something. "Mother! Mom, sorry,"

Having never been treated gently by an adult woman, Angel actually cried for a thousand reasons that she had been quieting in her life all this time and this time, she said, she tried to share it with Sarah through her tears.

He cried because of the treatment of male guests when he worked at Madam Sienna, he cried because of his love for Dante as well as his disappointment in the man, he cried because of his longing for Dante, she cries out for her fear when she is kidnapped and mistreated by Jarrel and Evelyn. He cried for all the events that had happened and for all his pain.

After about 30 minutes Angel cried roaring until both eyes reddened and swollen, finally the girl was calm even though still as much as she wanted and during that time anyway, Sarah still hugged him and did not let go of his embrace for Angel at all.

In the end, Angel pulled away and wiped her tears. He looks embarrassed and feels guilty for hitting Sid. "I'm sorry, Mother. I thought it was-, ...."

Angel's tears are flowing again. Sarah kissed the girl on the forehead and hugged her back. "I know. You don't have to talk anymore, dear Carmen,"

Angel hugged Sarah tightly and she prayed in her heart that no one would separate her from Sarah. "Mother, may I call you mother for the rest of my life?"

Sarah laughs. "Please, Son. I'm your mother, aren't I?"

Angel is the answer for Sarah. After Angel felt calm and relieved, she approached Sid who was sitting on the stairs in front of their house.

The girl sat down beside her brother and leaned her head on Sid's shoulder which was quite wide. "Sorry,"

Gently, Sid patted Angel's head. "I don't know what happened to you, but I hope I can be your reason for living happily from now on,"

"I'm happy because of you and my mom" Angel replied. Without hesitation, he wrapped his arm around Sid's body and grabbed the man. "But next time, you knock on my door and wait until I open it for you! Got it? Even though we're sisters, I'm still a girl," Angel continued.

Sid's face turned red and he turned his face the other way. Can't! He can't mess up the atmosphere like this!

"K-, you sleep like a buffalo until you can't hear my door knock!" sid was wrong.

Angel bit Sid's arm and the man shouted back to his mother. "Momuuu! Carmen bit me, Mama!"

"You're really rude! I'm sure it's just your body that's female, but inside you're a man! Look, my nose is still stuffed with cotton and now my arm's stuck in your toothbrush!" sid exclaimed as he examined his arm and rubbed it gently.

Angel laughs again and helps Sid to blow the arm he just bit. "Haha! I'm worried about you because you're funny, Sid! Besides, I love you,"

Sid raised his face and looked at Angel with a sharp look. His heart rumbled violently beating the sound of the waves pounding. A voice in his head resonated loudly and made him realize, "Conscious, Sid, she's your sister!"
