Sid's Warning

For a few days, Angel looked moody and she preferred to do the dishes instead of welcoming guests and serving them food. Her smile faded from that pretty face.

The change was also felt by Sarah. On one occasion when Sid gave her dirty dishes, Sarah asked her adopted daughter.

"You sick, son?" sarah asked kindly as she gently stroked Angel's back. "You okay?"

Asked like that, the collapse of Angel's tear defense that he has been holding for several days. He wiped those tears. "Mother, may I tell you?"

"of course! You're my son, tell me about anything! There's nothing you cover up!" sarah answered excitedly.

Sarah smile. "You already have a lover apparently. I think I can make you my son-in-law, hahaha! How could a girl as beautiful as you not have a lover yet? Ah, there's-there's just me,"

"I don't want to be your daughter-in-law, Mom. I want to be your son. Suppose, I stay here forever and continue to be your son, is that okay?" ask Angel. "I'm grateful to have met you and Sid,"

The girl really felt lucky to meet Sarah. He so longed for a family and a peaceful life like this without having to be required to do this and that or this and so. Comfort and peace that makes Angel feel at home to stay with Sarah.

Sarah laughed and nodded. "If it's a problem with a man, don't think too long. If he's got a new one, you forget about him and don't think about it. Why think of someone who doesn't think of you? Focus on the people who love you, son, and forget those who hurt you. It's a formula so that your life is always happy. Don't waste your time just crying for someone who doesn't necessarily cry for you, too,"

Sarah's words made Angel realize. "Yes, you're right, Mom. I think I should learn to live like that,"

"Should! You should be happy, Carmen!" sarah smiled and stared fixedly at the girl with a loving look.

Angel nodded steadily. "Definitely, Mom. Ah, I'm lucky to have met you. I've loved you and Sid more than myself,"

Hearing Angel's statement, Sarah shook her head. "It can't be like that! Leave it to you, honey. No human is perfect. If one day we let you down, you still have the rest of the love to give to yourself,"

Again, Angel gets an additional lesson from Sarah about love. He kept and remembered Sarah's advice well.

The next day, Sarah asks Sid to go shopping in the city because their food ingredients have begun to run out, plus their household needs are also starting to thin.

Sarah also asks Sid to take Angel. Although at first the girl refused on the grounds of wanting to help Sarah at the restaurant, but in the end, she joined Sid.

Riding a motorcycle, they both went to the city. The journey from their home to the city only takes about an hour. Upon arrival, Sid holds Angel's hand.

"So you don't disappear! I could kill you if I came back without you! Hold onto my tight fists and don't let go! Just focus on me!" tukas Sid's.

Angel nodded and she could see both of her foster brother's ears blushing. "Yes, Sid. I'll focus on you. Are you ashamed to hold me? Your ears are red, too,"

Sid scratched his ears one by one. "No! Don't think about it, I told you to just focus on me!"

With Angel holding his hand, Sid bought all the things Sarah had written on a small piece of paper. It seems, people already know Sid and Sarah well. They give a lot of extras or bonuses or even cheaper prices when Sid shopping.

"Well, Sid, he gave me this giant pretzel for free. Come on, let's split two. Open your mouth, I'll bribe you! Aaaaay!" angel is pleased and forces Sid to open his mouth.

After shopping, the two of them returned to the bike. However, a man greeted them.

"Sid Brother! You're here apparently," said the man.

Sid and Angel turned to look at the man. "Frank?" both of them at the same time.

"Ah, I'll take you guys. Come on, my car's right there!" frank said, and he just took the bags of groceries from the hands of Sid and Angel.

Angel confronts Frank and retrieves their grocery bags. "We got on the bike. Thanks for the offer,"

"Your motor will be taken by my friend. After all, the day is getting hotter, you will definitely get hot on the road. Come with me, already! Go, Sid!" hatch Frank. "Give me the keys to your bike to my friend and give him your home address so he can take this bike to your house,"

"Don't go home! I'll just give you our restaurant address! Besides, you can drop us there!" angel quickly said.

This time, he clasped Sid's hand tightly until Sid was in pain. Angel's face looked emotional and the rest, she looked scared.

Sid knitted his two eyebrows. What's up with them? As soon as he gets in the car, Frank asks Angel to sit in the back and Sid to sit next to him because he is going to drive.

During the trip, Sid and Frank had long pleasantries. Frank will ask and Sid will answer with a short answer, sometimes just yes, no, or no idea.

"May I ask you a question, Frank? What's your relationship with him?" sid whispered as he put his head back. "And who is he really? Yesterday I showed you the news about Morgan's family and he was crying like crazy. Who are you guys?"

Before Frank answers his question, Sid tells how Angel came to his restaurant and Sarah made the girl his adopted daughter in just one day. "What happened to him at that time?"

"Look! I'm not gonna tell you who Carmen really is. Clearly, the man you saw on the news was indeed her lover" Frank replied. He still continues to be imagined Angel's condition when he comes to Sarah for the first time. "I don't know what happened to him either. He was with his girlfriend and suddenly, he just disappeared. I never knew that it turned out that he had been brought this far by them! What happens if he doesn't meet your mother? Maybe he's dead,"

"Definitely! With blood and bruises all over his body, his lips were pale and even he trembled. Either because of hunger or fear" Sid added. "Why can't I know who he is?"

Frank swallowed his saliva. She recalled the first time Evelyn told her about who Angel was to her. "You're gonna use it like the first time I know who he is,"

Sid is silent and in his heart he decides not to find out who Angel really is. With him smiling and happy alone had made Sid feel happy as well. That's when Sid realized something. "Hey, about your question back then. I know the answer,"

"What?" ask Frank.

Sid looked back and saw the cool Angel looking at the scenery outside while folding both hands. Then, Sid's gaze returned to the front and he lowered his voice, lower than before. "I love him as a brother to his sister and at the same time, I love him as a man to a girl. So, you and anyone, I won't allow you to take him from my side! Especially to make him cry! I'll sink you into the sea! Catch that!"
