The Love of the Ex

The Love of the Ex
CHAPTER 26: Arka Disappointment

Arka had arrived at the Dinata mansion, the servants who saw the arrival of the young master lowered their heads, no one dared to look at each other, especially when looking at the expression of Arka who looked like he was holding back anger.

"Where's the madam?" ask Arka to her mother's personal servant.

"The lady is in the back garden with Miss Clarisa sir," the maid replied as she lowered her head, Arka's cold voice making her creep.

While Clarisa and mistress Laras who was busy watering the plants were unaware of the arrival of Arka.

"You are not only beautiful, but also smart in everything, even you are very understanding about plants and do not fear dirty when helping to clean Auntie's favorite flowers," praise Madame Laras while watering her favorite flower.

"If it wasn't because I wanted the position of young lady Dinata, I would have done something like this, too" said Clarisa.

"Tante could have been, I'm not as good as Aunt said, out there there are still a lot of women who are much better than me, it looks like I have a lot to learn from Aunty in order to be a great woman," clarisa said pretentiously, not forgetting the smile she made as sweet as possible.

"You are too humble when you are much better than Auntie, you are indeed the ideal daughter-in-law of Clarisa .." said Ms. Laras.

"But it's all for nothing because Arka's brother didn't see me at all" Clarisa said with a look of sadness.

"You don't have to worry, as time goes by Arka will definitely open her heart to you, she will definitely be very lucky to have someone like you by her side" said mrs Laras rubbing Clarisa's shoulder, he felt guilty for her cold and indifferent attitude Arka to Clarisa.

"But what if one day the woman again seduces sister, especially until this moment Arka's brother still loves the woman in his past."

"You take it easy Aunty won't let that ja la ng back use Arka, Aunty will do anything to keep Arka away from the seductress."

"Stop calling it that inappropriate!" arka said with her baritone voice, she stepped closer towards Clarisa and madam Laras who looked frightened at Arka's expression.

"Arka, since when are you here?" asked the lady Laras trying to hide her nervousness, because it is certain that her son would be angry if he heard her mention her ex-lover.

"Since you've been talking about my women" replied Arka coldly.

"Is there anything important? You don't usually come in during business hours, is there a problem with the company?" mrs Laras asked to try to divert the conversation.

"If there's nothing important you'd better go, I'd like to talk to you alone" Arka pushed away while staring coldly at Clarisa.

"Carca!" snapped madam Laras did not like to see Arka's attitude towards Clarisa.

"Go!" arka. He did not care about his mother.

"But our brother just met, it would be nice if we also chat together, after all I'm a big brother's fiancee so it doesn't matter if I stay here" Clarisa said.

"Don't make me keep repeating my words, and I need to remind you that your new fiance is not the young mistress Dinata, so leave before my patience runs out" Arka said coldly.

"I will remain here" Clarisa, who did not accept Arka's attitude, still kekeh, did not want to leave the Dinata residence.

"That you should not go too far with Clarisa, your attitude is always like this when it comes to your ex, what good is that woman? To make you a heartless man like this?!"

Brak!

Arka hit one of the nearby flower pots and broke and caused her right hand to bleed.

"Go, before one of these pots hits your head," said Arka staring intently at Clarisa.

Clarisa who was afraid to see Arka's anger just moved to leave the mother and child, she was really made goosebumps especially when Arka was about to lift the pot nearby.

"Why did he turn out to be so horrible?" murmured Clarisa who quickly stepped out of the Dinata residence.

While in the garden Arka stared intently at Madam Laras. He tried his hardest to hold back his anger lest he do something to the woman who gave birth to him, if only he did not think about his status as a child, maybe he taught his mother a lesson now.

Madam Laras furrowed her brows at the question of her son who suddenly asked about the woman of his past. "What do you mean?" ask mrs Laras.

"I already know everything, but I want to hear it straight from my mom's mouth" Arka said.

"Mama doesn't understand what you mean."

"Tell me honestly what mom made Mita leave me? By paying people to–" before Arka continues her remark madam Laras first cut it.

"Yes! Mama who made that woman leave you, because she doesn't deserve you, she just wants your money, she even has a lot of men around her! Is such a woman that you call a good woman good?!" said Mrs Laras not less emotion.

Arka clenched her hand to hear the confession of Miss Laras, but she hoped that her mother was not the person behind Mita's departure.

"But you shouldn't have done something that could ruin her future, because your actions almost ruined Mita's life!"

"You don't have to exaggerate about the woman, because such a thing won't make her life ruined" said mrs Laras smiling cynically.

"You really let me down, it turns out that educated women like you have very low thoughts, this time I can still hold back because I respect you as my parents, but not for another time," said Arka looking at Madame Laras with a look full of disappointment even he let out tears. He did not expect his mother to be able to do such a heinous deed.

Arka immediately left her mother, for fear of not being able to control her emotions and doing something that could hurt Miss Laras.

While madam Laras could only stare at her son's back, for the first time she saw Arka shed tears after a long time.

"What have I been doing wrong all this time? I just want to protect my son" said Ms. Laras lirih.

"But what does Arka mean that I almost ruined the woman's life?" madam Laras muttered in confusion.

At night in the villa.

"Sleep first, I'll come back after finishing my work" said Arka, enveloping Mita, who had been lying on the bed with an upset look.

"I also don't expect you to go back to my room, if he's forgotten what he said before our wedding, if he won't be one room, let alone bed with me, and now he arrived just forced to sleep in bed with bring our status. Basic men do not know shame and do not have a stand, just be careful if you dare like that, I will really break your legs," Inner Mita grumbled annoyed.

"Hurry to sleep, don't continue to curse me," said Arka as if knowing what Mita is thinking at this time.

"Damn how can he know? .." Inner Mita, he was very surprised because Arka's speech is true, which is true, as much as possible he tried to keep looking ordinary not to let Arka really know the voice of his heart.

"What exactly are you planning? Why do you have to behave like this?" mita asked as Arka was about to leave her room.

Arka frowned hearing Mita's question. "I didn't plan anything" replied Arka without turning her body to look at Mita.

"Why has your attitude changed? Is this part of your plan to avenge me?" ask Mita back.

"Don't think too much, I just want to replace the time we lost over the years" Arka said, looking at Mita with a difficult look. "I'm sorry if it's too much for you, this time I'll protect you, I won't let anyone bother you, let alone hurt you," Arka smiled as she rubbed the head of the wife and then left Mita who was silent staring at the back of Arka who disappeared behind the door, she was still trying to digest the purpose of the last words Arka.

"What's wrong with her? Why did his gaze look so regretful, and what did he mean? After all, he did not have to bother to protect me from bullies, because there was he himself who continued to bother me with his attitude," muttered Mita after the departure of Arka, and then he returned to lay his body.

Mita actually felt strange with Arka's attitude, because since returning home her husband was more silent and spent time in his study, she said, even he who would normally be angry if there was a waiter who made a mistake today he seemed to care less when one of the waiters accidentally spilled coffee on his shirt.
