Lu Xiang walked towards the crowd who also wanted to head to the city. After everyone arrived, the ox carriage began to set off towards the city.

On the other hand, Adelia brought home kale or other wild vegetables that she picked at the foot of the mountain as well as some fruit trees such as red wine, mulberry and the pear he wanted to plant in his yard.

Adelia started removing wild vegetables and fruit trees one by one from the bamboo basket and began planting the saplings with a certain distance.

Adelia moved her weary body after finishing everything, she started to prepare lunch with the rest of the grilled chicken then called Lu Chen and Lu Shan to eat together.

Lu Cheng glanced at the partially empty yard because of the fruit tree that Adelia planted. "Sister Adel, why do you plant vine and mulberry? The fruit tastes sour. No one wants to eat it" complained the little boy with a slightly lower one, although Adelia remained tight-lipped but he did not want the yard planted a fruit tree that eventually could not be eaten.

Adelia raised her eyebrows. "Who said nobody wants to eat it? Fruit trees that you plant are different from trees in the forest. You can eat it can even make money"

Lu Shan's eyes sparkled while Lu Cheng rolled his eyeballs, saturated trying to explain Adelia who was dreaming in broad daylight according to him.

"I'm home!"

Lu Xiang's voice distracted Lu Cheng and Lu Shan, they immediately got off the dining chair and ran over quickly.

"Sister Xiang!" The two hugged Lu Xiang's legs which then stroked their heads.

"You weren't naughty after big brother went to town right?"

Both shakes. "We're acting good, brother. We even helped Brother Adel pick wild vegetables and pears" Lu Shan first reported what he was doing while Lu Xiang was away.

"Smart kid. Brother has candy for you" Lu Xiang opened the package and gave the two cane-sour candies to the two.

"You're home. Do you want a live lunch?" Adelia smiled.

Lu Xiang momentarily forgot that now that he had a wife, that husband-and-wife-like greeting made his feelings strange and pleasant at the same time. He also nodded. "The one I brought is gone" he reported.

Adelia nodded, she went in to prepare Lu Xiang's cutlery and asked "What did you buy? Is the proceeds from the sale of wild boar enough for the needs of all?"

"Enough and there are still 18 more copper coins left. After this I'll buy eggs at Uncle Ling's house for our side dishes a few days later until I get a new hunt"

"Sister Xiang, brother Xiang!" Lu Cheng who had finished his sweets recalled the complaint he wanted to tell his brother.

"What's wrong?" Lu Xiang stared at the astonished wry-faced sister who occasionally glanced at Adelia who was sitting in front of the dining table.

Adelia who already knew what the boy wanted to tell me sighed then decided to pack the groceries that Lu Xiang had brought.

Lu Cheng approached and whispered a complaint about Adelia planting a sour fruit tree.

Lu Xiang smiled funnyly. "It's okay, maybe Brother Adel has a way for the tree to bear sweet fruit. After all, the yard of our house is very empty, planting fruit is not a problem"

Hearing his brother defending Adelia, Lu Cheng snorted at the murmur of thinking his brother was spoiling his wife and no longer taking sides with her. Lazy to think of it all, he joined Lu Shan who was playing with the ground.

At night to put Lu Shan and Lu Cheng to sleep, Adelia saw Lu Xiang still reading with the help of candlelight. Although Adelia did not really understand what books her husband read but she knew that Lu Xiang still wanted to continue his education in order to take the state academic exam.

Adelia's gaze made Lu Xiang look up. "What's wrong?"

"You still want to study at the Academy?"

Adelia's outspoken question made Lu Xiang stunned, he fell silent for a moment. "Hm" He lowered his gaze so that Adelia did not catch the sorrowful light emanating from her eyes.

For a moment the atmosphere became awkward as no one wanted to continue the conversation. "Are you going hunting again tomorrow?" Tanya Adelia switched the conversation.

"Yes. After I got home from after checking the condition of the rice. Why?"

Adelia paused for a moment and then ventured to ask even though she knew that she would be a burden. "Can I come?"

Lu Xiang's eyebrows shot up then frowned. "Why are you coming? It's very dangerous and after all who's guarding Lu Cheng and Lu Shan if you come along?"

Adelia took the initiative to be next to Lu Xiang and stared softly yet confidently. "We can go for a minute. You hunt me for vegetables or mushrooms, wild vegetables at the foot of the mountain is not much anymore so I want to go into the forest"

"You can leave Lu Cheng and Lu Shan to Uncle Ling for a moment. They can play with Ling Xiao, I want to increase our food so that Lu Shan and Lu Cheng can become fat like other children" Adelia continued when she saw Lu Xiang was still silent.

Lu Xiang's gaze grew more and more sad, the poor condition of his family made his younger siblings grow up not as healthy as other children and it became one of his regrets. He sighed, "Alright you can come along. But you have to follow my words because in the woods it's really dangerous"

Instantly the face of Adelia's anticipation turned bright. He smiled widely and imagined the view of the forest that he had never been to before, it might be fun he thought.

Lu Xiang saw Adelia's face change involuntarily smiling and became a little astonished. After Adelia recovered from her illness, the girl became different. He had met with Adelia several times intentionally or unintentionally and found out that she always kept her face down and was cowardly and fearful, especially when her stepmother and grandmother scolded her for not working properly. But Adelia whom she now does not meet the fear or cowardice she used to see before, she even thinks that Adelia turned into someone else even though it is impossible.

Can one become so different from before?.
