Four Years later …
A guy with a tall stature. His wide back looked plain and sweaty. He pulled his sweat-soaked hair back. After 25 minutes of walking, the man ran on his treadmill in the garden behind his house.
Don't ask who that guy is. You can guess it, right?
Gery Mahardika Putra's.
The killer teacher who can conquer the heart of any woman who sees his charm. Including the girl who was contacting him.
Mr. Gery turned off the button on the treadmill before he got off the top and walked to the round glass table and two chairs of rattan material while wiping the sweat on his forehead by a small colored towel white on the table.
Taking the phone, Mr. Gery frowned when he saw a flickering name on the screen.
Damnit. The guy forgot if there was an appointment with him. Who today came home from abroad after finishing with his treatment.
"Definitely nagging, nih, if it is lifted. If not - Gosh," the boy scooped his face rough.
"Y-"
"Have you forgotten that today you have to pick me up at the airport?"
Nah kan. Justright. Not even Mr. Gery say hello, the girl across there is already nagging at him.
"I didn't forget. Just-just-"
"You want to say just don't want to, right? Your old habits, Ger. It never changes. I've been waiting for you for more than ten minutes. Pegel knows."
Can Mr. Gery hear there's an annoyed tone from his voice across there. “Iya-iya. It's gonna go. Wait, yes!” said Mr. Gery hurriedly. However, before that guy had time, sipped a glass of mineral water on the table.
“I wait for you five minutes. If five minutes are not. Angry, this, i.” Threaten to Mr. Gery who hurriedly ran towards the stairs to get into his room. While still flanking the phone in his left ear.
Mr. Gery pushed the door of his room. “Iya, Dita! Yes.” His post. “Yes, already, hang up. Take a shower first, nih.” Then Mr. Gery took a towel from the fold before entering the bathroom in his room.
“Tuh, right. You're not leaving yet, Ger. I will be waiting for him a long time. I have to fit the shirt to make the event later.”
Mr. Gery took a deep breath. He massages the base of his nose when the voice of the girl across there continues to grumble furiously. “This is when I want to take a shower and leave to pick you up if you don't close the phone, Ta?”
“OK. You have five seconds to shower!” he said before closing the mobile call with annoyance.
While keeping the phone in the sink, Mr. Gery grumbled as he opened his pants together before the man entered the shower box. “There is a five-second shower. Fucking chick. Nyeremin if you get angry again.” Curse it while turning the shower faucet.
**
“You have so much heart for me to wait for you an hour more, yes, Ger.”
Still Dita grumbled annoyed at Mr. Gery. Even though that girl and Mr. Gery are already going to get in the car. His face was pinched along with his pursed lips. Then get in the car when Mr. Gery opens the back door for him. “Nyebelin,” cebikya.
Mr. Gery closed the car door while breathing rough. “Basic chick.” gently shook her head while circling the back of the car before then she also got into the same car.
Then Mr. Gery interrupted the driver to advance the iron vehicle. The car drove too. Darted. Leaving the airport parking lot.
“Still angry?” ask Mr. Gery while fiddling with mobile phones. Apparently the guy was texting someone.
“Udah knows it's still only.” Dita answered, turning her eyes out the car window. For four years his eyes had not seen the beauty of his hometown. Jakarta.
Mr. Gery is still loyal to the phone in his hand. He smiled no longer to reply to Dita. Sometimes the guy chuckles when he gets a reply to a message from the person across there.
Feeling no response from Mr. Gery, Dita turned his face. His lips were throbbing with both hands folded on his chest when he saw the man who was smiling to himself. “Sane!” dita Ledek. His head was slightly tilted so that he could see with whom Mr. Gery reciprocated messages.
“Aaan, anyway, Ta?” Then Mr. Gery's head slightly away and then lowered the phone.
Dita clucking. Back to the back of the car seat. “Kepo, Ger.”
“Dih, not funny tau, ah, pake kepo all.”
After that in the car no one opened their voices again. Silence took over for a while. Dita enjoys the view of the towering building out there while Mr. Gery is again busy with his phone.
“Ger,” call Dita in low voice.
Looks like Mr. Gery has finished replying to the message. Seen from the guy who put the sophisticated object into the bag of pants. “Hem. Why?” ask Mr. Gery to Dita. “Pak, we will stop by the flower shop first, yes!” Then turn to the driver who is concentrating on driving before hearing the answer from the girl next to him.
“What to do to the flower shop?” It was not the driver who answered. But Dita asked.
“Create flowers. Time to buy seblak.” Mr. Gery chuckles. “Make love flower it's the same her.”
Dita nodded. He'll understand. “Oh. Means before going to the boutique make our fittings to the funeral first?”
Mr. Gery's head nodded. “Iya. Betewe, you wanted to talk, right? By what? Sorry to cut.”
Dita smiled before grabbing Mr. Gery's hand. “Thank you, yes, Ger, you want to forgive me. I'd love that opportunity for me.”
Mr. Gery returned Dita's hand. A small pat on the back of the girl's hand with her other. “Iya. You welcome. Ah, ah, don't talk about that anymore. That was a long time ago, too. It's been four years, Ta. We forget the past, yes! It will not be good also still remembered the events that have been long. Ghea will also definitely not like if we still reveal problems that have long passed.”
Ah, yes, Ghea. That lady. Gery misses that woman very much. Her face. His smile and everything inside his woman, Mr. Gery misses him.
“Iya. Ghea would not like it. Surely the girl will nag if she knows we are still discussing the past.” Dita chuckles softly. “I'm kangen with Ghea, Ger,” lirih Dita. But there was a little smile that expands from the corner of the lips of the girl sitting next to Mr. Gery at this time.
**
The car is now parked on a small street.on each side of the road there are many gravestones engraved with names that are gone. Mr. Gery got off the car followed by Dita. Both walked through every dry land. On the ground there are also roses, bouquets and not much green grass overgrown.
The tombstone is black with a golden name carving. Gery approached the tomb. Then he crouched. Put the bouquet of flowers right on the ground. Then his hand rubbed the engraving of a golden-colored name. “I came back here again. I brought flowers too because he asked for them,” said Mr. Gery while taking off the glasses perched covering his two gray eyeballs.
There is a sense of sadness that pierces the heart of Mr. Gery. I don't know, Mr. Gery shouldn't have come to this place. Supposedly, Mr. Gery did not follow his request.
However, if not obeyed his request, surely Mr. Gery will be sprayed.
“Udah?” tanya Dita who just stood next to Mr. Gery.
Mr. Gery looked up at his face. “Udah,” said. Then stand up and put his sunglasses back on.
“You what?” Dita again asked the question when Mr. Gery pointed the cellphone camera at the meal.
“Create proof,” say. And the results of the shot were directly sent Mr. Gery on someone's number.
Dita chuckles. “Yes geez. It's so good. huh?”
“Hem. You don't know him, Ta."
“Iya-iya.”
The phone he was holding shook. Mr. Gery pulled both corners of his lips when he saw his name flashing on the screen. Not that Mr. Gery quickly picked it up, the guy just ignored it. “Yuk. Home!” And invited Dita to leave the tomb.
“That phone you didn't pick up first, Ger?” tanya Dita walks behind Mr. Gery.
“Later aja.”
“Later to latch, Ger.”
“Gak papa's. That's what I want.”
“Ih, damn, you. No thanks new rations know the taste of loh.”
Mr. Gery was silent for a while when he got to the side of the car. “Iya, anyway,” legitimately responded to Dita's babble. “Yes, you're in first. I want to call him back first.”
“Basic guys! Denger said ration only directly. Very bad you, Ger,” pout Dita then get into the car. The girl should also contact someone she has long missed.
Next to the car, Mr. Gery dialed someone's number. But in his first call he was not rejected.
Mr. Gery clucked. I can't believe it, though. Anyway, he can't be angry. If you are angry, Dita said. Maybe later tonight Mr. Gery will not be given rations.
And it would be even worse if he was angry, Mr. Gery would be told to sleep outside. Oh can't. A second later, Mr. Gery contacted him again.
"What?"
It's true. Mr. Gery heard a voice from across there in a very angry tone.
"Anged because I didn't pick up the phone?" Mr. Gery chuckles. Oh for God's sake, that guy is so anxious with this spoiled tone of his lady. It feels like Mr. Gery wants to get to where this woman is now.
"So. Why angry. Very nice geer." And can Mr. Gery guess if on the other side he is pursing his lips.
"Ah. A timing? Say yes dong. I'll buy you some meatballs."
"What do you buy meatballs for? I don't want to."
"Make your strike. You if you're angry, you like to ask for a bribe with meatballs." Mr. Gery chuckles. He leaned his back against the closed car door. While in there Dita also like talking on the phone with someone.
"As far as you are. You gave her flowers, right?"
"Yes. I gave the evidence to you too."
"Yes, you can tell someone else to come there. Keep asking for a photo"
"So dong, baby. Really. It's in the car again."
"Sama Dita, right, you?"
"Yes. The same Dita." Mr. Gery turned his head around to see Dita in there. "I guess Dita is also again a phone call, tuh, same as her future husband."
"Yes, already. Hunt that out - Bundaaaaa!!!"
In the establishment, Mr. Gery frowned when he heard the voice of a small child calling his woman with the call Mother. "Ajeng, huh?" ask Mr. Gery.
"Yes - Mothers ..., Hungry Ajeng. Want to make fried rice with Mother."
Mr. Gery is still flanking his phone. The man listened to a line of words spoken by the little boy named Ajeng across the street.
"Yes, already. You're going home, yeah. I want to make some fried rice for Ajeng."
"Yes. I love you" said Mr. Gery as he opened the back car door.
Then Mr. Gery heard a small ruckus before the woman said the same thing. "Me too, Mom. Darling you."
Everyone has felt loss. However, not everyone can get a new hope and opportunity. That hope has always been a strength for Mr. Gery.
And an opportunity that makes an excuse for Mr. Gery to become a better husband again.
Better to take care of his wife.
