The Poetry of the Butterfly Princess

The Poetry of the Butterfly Princess
Chapter 2: Cunning

Changyi sat pensively on his bed. He didn't understand why he came in here. Especially right on the very unfavorable part of the novel.

Is this karma for killing too many children in the story?

"Young lady, it looks like you are not in good shape" said the woman who accompanied him.

This extremely friendly looking lady was a cunning snake that the antagonist had sent was Qing Jiaohua. Damnit.

Precisely today was the day before Bai Xue's wedding with the antagonist Junhui, the lord of the ghost town who would realize Lei's imperial worst nightmare by retrieving the magic jade from the holy land.

Of course it's in the future. At this point in the story, he is still considered a young scholar who marries a demon princess as a sign of peace between the two worlds.

Changyi held his dizzy head. If he could, he would very much like to cancel this marriage and run away to the end of the world. Even that did not guarantee the safety of him as Bai Xue as he would be considered a high-class criminal.

Whatever he did, he could only see death at the end of the road!

Changyi took a deep breath. Considering his next move, his extreme appetite left him trapped in an extremely dangerous situation.

"Qing Jiaohua, where is my father now?" Changyi asked, calming himself down.

"Your highness the emperor is going out the imperial palace," Jiaohua replied hesitantly. "Does she need anything?"

"Yes. I want to cancel the wedding"

That one sentence was enough to make Qing Jiaohua flinch and turn cynical. "Why?" Immediately, he glared at Changyi and began to express his displeasure.

Before he could say anything, Changyi interrupted him coldly: "Why? Don't you see how I'm doing right now?"

Qing Jiaohua was silent. Did that sentence just come out of the princess? He didn't hear wrong, did he?

This butterfly princess who is rumored to be very innocent and friendly

—— Just threatened me?!

Changyi smiled faintly. He could guess what Qing Jiaohua was thinking now. Then, he threw it out so that the problem is not long spread. The serpent was forced to come out, eating his bitter feelings deeply.

...****************...

"Master, it seems that we chose the wrong target," Qing Jiaohua said, kneeling before a young man hiding behind a curtain. He reported all the events that happened today and advised his master to change his mind.

"He's different from the rumors, huh?" Respond to the young man in a low voice. "You mean, that innocent and naive 6th princess of the Lei empire who was said to be naive and naive threatened you?"

Qing Jiaohua shuddered in horror, hearing the scorn. Not daring to answer him, he lowered his head and apologized to him.

His master, Wang Junhui, although he was only a human, he possessed an extremely dangerous aura. Someone who can't be read mysteriously. At first glance he may be impressed as someone friendly and kind. However, behind that mask, Wang Junhui was a nightmare.

"So, how many lies did you tell just now, Jiaohua?"

"T, Nothing. The princess, seriously wants to cancel her wedding"

"really?" Junhui propped up his chin, questioning his subordinate's words. Not a penny he believed it. Everything sounds impossible. How can someone change in a day?

Junhui himself had once met his fiancee. He knew how Bai Xue would behave. The reason why he chose the butterfly princess was because of the naivety and innocence he possessed. Unlike the other princesses, Bai Xue was the right choice to be a shield to her plan.

"Sir, I swear to the heavens and the earth. He's not the Bai Xue you know"

Junhui narrowed his eyes, slightly surprised to hear Jianhua swear. If the way he said was true, what made that innocent and pure princess change?

Bai Xue was an overly sincere princess. Never been touched by the rot that exists in the world. He can fly freely anywhere. No one forbids him to do anything. He was not in a precarious condition either.

Surprisingly, he got word that his fiancee attempted suicide one day before the wedding day and wanted to cancel her wedding when he woke up?

PLOK, PLOK, PLOK..

"Sir..?" Jiaohua raised his head, hearing the sound of clapping hands and amused laughter from his master all of a sudden.

"really interesting. Jiaohua, let's meet the emperor now" Junhui said as he walked out of the curtain, revealing the deadly grin he had aimed at the snake.

"But if you lie to me, I'll happily kill you"
