The Prisoner of the Mafia

The Prisoner of the Mafia
TSM Chapter 39 - Numbness of Taste

In the morning, Arabella woke up and found herself alone on the bed, even a tray made of metal was on the table, a breakfast that was quite a lot of kumplit on it.

Arabella wriggled slowly, she took a deep breath and exhaled slowly, she was sure that today Arabella would be confined all day.

However, something was different, Arabella saw the door to the balcony opened wide as if Axton allowed her to see the view of the city that was so dense but beautiful.

While in Mexico, James stared at some people who started hauling wooden boxes into a red box car. James who had just delivered the box box from the troly with his leisurely leaning on the door of the warehouse. "How much is your salary for a week here?" James asked a man in a suit who was overseeing their work.

"What's wrong?" Answer's flat.

"No, I'm just calculating how long I have to work to get all my debts paid off" James replied. "My debt is $200,000, I hear your salary is very large, can I get $1000 per day?"

The man did not reply, he just stared at James sharply. "Can you go back to work and get another box?" Ask the man.

James approached the man with a glint of eyes watching around. "Did you know there's a pretty girl that Mr. Axton has brought? He's my son, I miss him so much, do you know where my son lives?" James asked with a hopeful look.

But the man just clucked softly, "Stop asking and get back to work old man!" His his hissing as he walked into the warehouse to check on the others.

James took a deep breath, he walked towards a cheerful looking young man writing something down on the paper. "Hi young man," call James. The man looked up and smiled broadly. "What's in this box?" James asked curiously. Then he deliberately saw some lines that the man was writing, apparently just the numbers of some product names that are not too clear.

"Yes, I've only been here for 2 days" James replied. "Where are you going to send all these boxes?" James asked back.

Pater turned to the box that had been neatly arranged in the car. "To the whole Club, Hotel and Shop in this city. Know it? This tequila is the best one in my opinion" replied Peter.

James only gave a small nod, as he wanted to go back asking something, someone in neat clothes came back from inside the warehouse. "Mr Axton didn't give you a salary for your conversation, if you feel like you don't fit into your job I'll tell Mr. Axton to fire you right now old man!"

Peter immediately lowered his head, he hurriedly refocused on his servants again. "Ma— forgive me Sir," he murmured softly.

"Work right, I don't want any small mistake, and you—" the man said, staring at James. "Go back to the warehouse and bring the other box," continued the man completely resolutely as he passed checking the others.

James sighed slowly, almost everything here was quite young, maybe only James was over the age of 50. With James not excited to go back inside, he needed friends and was not used to this kind of work. Maybe you all know James' habit, he just used to sit at the gambling table and think about which cards he should throw.
